Combine a first person shooter. Comic book type aesthetic. 3D graphics in a post-apocalyptic open world. You tag that along with a good storyline and you’ll have yourself a wild west spin of a very unique artistic video game. Borderlands 3 is obviously the third installment in the series and just obviously the best one of them all. Definitely try this one out if you haven’t yet. It’s now part of my permanent collection.

Solid entry into the Borderlands franchise. Gameplay is great, but story is a little lacking compared to previous entries.

The Borderlands game sage by Gearbox is amazing and in my top 5 favorite games ever! The series of games are fantastic action/adventure in a very creative and visually stunning universe centering around the planet Pandora. My favorite part of the Borderlands games is the amount of dlc available. You can play for weeks and months and always find something new!

Where to start borderlands 3 is so awesome to play even if you are new to the borderlands games or been playing borderlands every day. I also like have four new vault hunters to chose from and if you and your friend both play as the siren you can customized your character anyway you want so the choice is yours

Great game based on pass experience. But we purchased it, because it was supposed to be updated for Next Gen gaming. But when we received the game, it was the same old format disc from back in the day. The ad was misleading. READ THE PACKAGING TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE BUYING THE RIGHT VERSION FOR PS5.

Great game for PS5! Bad use of Adaptive Triggers

I bought this to play on PS5 - with a free upgrade after putting in the disc I can report the PS5 version runs so smooth and looks fantastic on the PS5. If I have one complaint it would be that the PS5 version does not make good use of the Adaptive triggers on the dual sense controller. Hopefully they have an update eventually that will make better use of them, but every gun feels the same and the feature is pointless so I turned the feature off until they patch/fix that so it utilizes the controller to its full potential. I picked this up during a sale for 10 bucks which is a crazy good deal for this game.. I'd have been happy paying triple that with how much I've enjoyed the game. I'm officially a fan of looter /shooter games now.. Prior to this the only other Borderlands I've played is Borderlands 2 VR - which I loved, especially because it's in VR.. But I can say that borderlands 3 has sold me on this style game now, even on a flat screen it has not disappointed and I'm very happy I decided to get this game.

Main villains are cringe. Some of the jokes are trying to appeal to teens. Couch co-op gameplay needs work. There’s a lot of frozen screen when opening th map. They don’t have vertical split screen, the map and player indicators are small. Inferior to bl2 but hey they gun play is still fun as ever.

Fans of the first two games will enjoy playing this third installment of an entertaining first person shooter game. What is improved in this game is the game map evolution in being able to travel off Pandora and fight on different planets, each with their unique terrain and settings. The first couple of missions are rather dull, to allow the player to get use to the controls and gameplay. Once the player reaches level 5 and gains access to more weapons, such as the assault rifle and shotgun, it becomes more fun. The boss level fights are very tough. One way to survive is to run and jump in circles when trying to recharge shields and health. There is no safe place to hide when fighting the level bosses, who do a lot of damage. This game offers a lot more loot than in the previous two games. I was able to sell the loot and buy a lot more storage deck upgrades for ammo and backpack carrying than in the previous two games. The script is well done too, as the player becomes involved in the war between two rival corporations that make the weapons that are used in the game. The storyline also takes the player to other weapons makers in the game, in their quest to find the vaults. The offbeat, dark sense of humor continues in this series and play four different character classes, each with their different bonuses and skill paths. The different weapons and how they handle allows each player to choose their fighting style and which items to keep and use for each mission. Side quests are very important to level up and gain new skills. It makes the player really think as to which bonuses they want their character to have, based on their game play style. The only detractor to this game is the side quests where the player has to jump around and try to climb things. It often becomes frustrating and detracts from the main storyline and first person shooting game. People who want to play platform jumping games can play Sonic instead. The rest of us bought this game for first person shooting game action. Finished the game as a Level 35+ character after completing many of the side quests. Didn’t try the Slaughterhouse side mission as it looked like a frustrating way to waste ammo and lose money getting killed and respawned. It was tough enough in Borderlands 2. Also skipped the delivery side quests and could finish some of the jump/ climb radio tower side quests. After finishing the campaign, the player can go back and play in mayhem mode to gain more experience and continue to increase their level. This is a very fun, challenging, and winnable video game for those who like first person shooters.

Base game. Same formula as the previous games. Lots of guns and humor. Early bugs have mostly been ironed out and rare experience issues in our sessions.... though I really wish the DLC would go on sale. Might be best to pick up GOTY down the read if you can wait.

B3 is not reinventing the wheel with this "looter shooter" game. Reading that may worry you but no it ain't broke don't mess with it works for this game because of the overall charm look & feel of it.5 stars but I want to take away one for the villains who are awful & annoying maybe Handsome Jack previous villain spoiled me but my goodness they are a bore & forced in some ways. Guns are great but sometimes ammo because sparse early on & you feel you can't lean on always favorites because you have to go Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Launcher, etc... small thing besides that brash funny exploring new planets & actually participating on them via missions is a pleasant change, as well as Sanctuary, being a ship & it's mobility allowing for a means to fast travel

I was able to get this game for $9.99. At this time, PSN has yet to have it on sale for less than $24. I also prefer the physical disc. It can be found elsewhere on sale from time to time but Best Buy had it on sale first and for the most part has kept it at this price. As it has a PS5 upgrade, I'm enjoying the game on my PS5. I hop around games but I find Borderlands are always fun. Seems to run along the same formula as the previous games. The graphics are really good. It's time consuming if I need a break from life lol Hours of entertainment. I've been playing as a single player but I hear it's great if you can get a multiplayer game going.

    A Fun But Buggy Experience

This really fun overall experience plague with more bugs than you think would still be around for a AAA title. If you've played either one of the other Borderlands games, you know exactly what you're getting here. A ton of loot, goofy humor, lots of fetch and kill quests, and a whole lot of style along the way. It's in no way perfect but its fun enough, but it really did surprise me how many bugs are still present in it months after release. By about 2/3's of the way through the game I was experiencing constant audio issues and gamebreaking bugs that required me to do a hard reset of my PS4 every 20 minutes or so. If they can patch those issues out the experience would be much much better.

This is the original looter shooter and not always online and it's optional for online unlike some looter shooters cough cough destiny 1 and 2 cough cough atentem . This is game is amazingly Bonkers and in a extermly good way . I have been a fan of the original looter shooter since 2009 the original Borderlands . And it's mutiplayer offline split screen and online and I like the fact that the main villans are the actual bandits from all the Borderlands games and they finally get the spot light they deserve after all these years and guns that walk and talk you control is awesome. I got it on sale for $15.00

Seems a lot of people are having issues with split screen or performance issues. I don't play split screen so I can't comment on it. Personally I have had no performance issues other than menus being a little slow at times. Far as gameplay it's been very smooth frames per second and it looks and plays really well. I'm about 8 to 10 hours in and I'm enjoying the characters, story and gunplay. I paid a small price but no regrets as a borderlands series fan. If you are into shooters, I feel it deserves a recommendation to buy. Not sure? Check out some gameplay streams online to get a good idea what you are buying into.

If you're a fan of the series, you should have no issues enjoying this game. Though I'm still working my way, through my initial play through, it very much feels like the previous iterations. It still has that familiar style, though with more/new environments; The humor, and gore are just as over the top as usual; and, the storyline has been really good, so far. I like all of the new vault hunters. I'm currently playing as Moze, who dominates the battles, when she utilizes her mechs. My friends all have different vault hunters, and I can see myself creating my own character, for each of them.
