    Poorly Optimized port..

Borderlands 4 on PC delivers the series’ trademark chaotic fun with smoother gunplay, deeper build customization, and a more open world that finally feels expansive, featuring new movement mechanics like double jumps and grapples. The co-op experience remains a blast, and character writing has improved, making the Vault Hunters and side cast more engaging. However, the game stumbles in several areas, most notably its poor PC optimization, with frequent stuttering and frame drops even on high end rigs. The story and villain, while serviceable, don’t reach the emotional or creative highs fans hoped for, and some missions and environments feel repetitive. While the loot system offers plenty of tinkering, it still lacks the depth of top tier looter shooters, and difficulty spikes toward the end can be frustrating. Overall, Borderlands 4 is a visually striking, mechanically refined entry that’s great for fans who love fast, chaotic co-op gameplay, but PC players may want to wait for optimization patches before diving in.

Borderlands 4 is a blast when it works — the gunplay feels tighter than ever, the loot loop is addictive, and the humor lands better than in past entries. It’s easily the most fun I’ve had in the series since Borderlands 2. That said, performance issues really hold it back. On PC especially, stuttering and crashes can kill the momentum, and some design choices (like bullet-sponge bosses) drag things out unnecessarily. If Gearbox irons out the technical problems, this could be a top-tier looter shooter. For now, it’s a mix of chaotic fun and frustrating hiccups.

Got the game as part of deal on prebuilt Nvidia GPU PC. It was fun to try out new system hardware with latest installment in Borderland series. Definitely adds a lot of new content in pretty much already gun/resource reach world of borderland series. So far no complaints.

    Borderland 4

Borderlands 4 Borderlands 4 is everything I hoped for and more. It takes the chaotic, fast-paced formula that made the series iconic and pushes it to an entirely new level. Gameplay The gunplay is tighter, more responsive, and ridiculously fun. Every weapon feels unique, with insane variety and over-the-top effects that never get old. The new skill trees and abilities let you truly shape your character into your own playstyle, whether you’re a tank, a sniper, or pure mayhem. World & Story The writing keeps that classic Borderlands humor—sharp, dark, and hilarious—while giving the main story more depth than ever before. The worlds are massive, beautifully detailed, and packed with secrets. Side quests feel meaningful, not just filler, and the NPCs are more alive and memorable. Co-op & Multiplayer Playing solo is great, but Borderlands 4 truly shines in co-op. The seamless drop-in/drop-out multiplayer is flawless, and the chaos with friends is unmatched. Few games deliver this level of shared fun and non-stop action. Graphics & Performance On modern hardware, the cel-shaded art style looks stunning in 4K. Explosions, effects, and environments are vibrant and alive. Performance is smooth and optimized—even during the craziest firefights with a hundred things happening at once. ⸻ Final Verdict: Borderlands 4 is a perfect mix of action, humor, and RPG depth. It’s one of those rare sequels that doesn’t just live up to the hype—it redefines the franchise. If you love looter-shooters, this is a must-play masterpiece.

Came with my video card so I installed it just to look at it. Uses a lot of resources it has pulled the 5090 it came with to as low as 30 frames and averages around 100. It looks great but does not run all that smooth. I am sure some work on the settings could make it better but not really my style game so i'm not putting in the effort. I have a brand new build with top of the line everything and it pushes the limits.

Receiving this game with the 5080 was quite nice. A lot of people were looking forward to it and was a perfect time to have it as an addition of the 5080 card. The game it’s self was not up to my standards with performance issues and bugs but overall, the game coming with the card was a nice touch.

Borderlands 4 looks amazing on the GeForce RTX 50 Series. The graphics are sharp, smooth, and colorful, with no lag even at high settings. Gameplay feels fluid and immersive, and the new GPU really brings out the detail in the environments and effects. A solid experience overall, though I’m excited to see future driver updates to make it even better.

I didn’t expect Borderlands 4 to hit this hard, but it absolutely did. The shift to a grittier tone pulled me in, and the new planet, Kairos, feels alive with tension and mystery. I mained Vex, and her Siren abilities added real depth to combat. Gunplay is tighter than ever, and the damage retention system makes every fight feel earned. What surprised me most was the emotional weight—this isn’t just chaos for chaos’ sake anymore. If you’ve ever loved the series or just want a looter shooter with brains and bite, I highly recommend diving into this one.

I needed a GPU upgrade anyways so I opted for the 5070 that came with Borderlands 4. Game was fun. 5070 made it run tremendously smooth. Unfortunately Borderlands 4 base-game is pretty lackluster and it became a one-and-done type of game where I got about 40+ hours out of it before it became stale.

The games great but the performance on high end graphics cards is kind of lackluster. Sub 100 fps on 1440p on the rtx 5080 is kind of crazy, not to mention the stuttering on launch at max settings. great game, not fully optimized just yet.
