    Not Tom Cruise's best work. This movie is nothing of what I expected it to be. I will probably never watch it again

    I really enjoyed this one. I wasn't sure at first if it was going to be any good, but I figured I would give it a try. Excellent performance, great depiction of what it's like to come home from Vietnam. Wounded on the outside and on the inside. A little sad in places, not for younger audiences.

    This movie is great, (except for the part that the story is so off point that the Marine whose story this is based on tried to sue the producers - which is to be expected from "based on a true story") The visuals and sound are amazingly improved now that the movie is on Blu-Ray.

    Both extremely competent people of their field but the film loses it's way & Cruise can't seem to reach the place he needs to go.
