This is an excellent dishwasher. Very quiet and cleans very well. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the bottom rack and top rack are not as useful as my old dishwasher. The front of the bottom rack doesn't hold the cereal bowls as easily as my ond one and the upper rack the outside row for glasses on each side is great, but the next row is too narrow for the same glasses I put on the outside. Also, it has many different cycles, and we know that one only ever uses one, maybe two. But it does not have a rinse and hold, which I lament. I turn on the short cycle and have to catch it 10 minutes in to simulate a rinse and hold.

Love the sanitize feature, lots of room, QUIET! Much better cleaning than my 15 y.o. Bosch. I almost switched to another brand because my old one didn't clean well but glad that I didn't. This one has more features than I'll ever use.

Very good price for Bosch product. Quiet and not long cycles. Easy to clean. Second Bosch product at my house. My parents have been using this model since 2012 and are very satisfied so that's why I decided to buy the same one.

Supper quiet, cleans well, and the rack design hold more dishes than my old GE. Because we have low counters the only choice of brands that would fit were GE or Bosch. The guys at the appliance repair shop said to go with the Bosch. Yes it doesn't have heat dry but I never used it with my old dishwasher, so I don't miss it. It does require rinse aid which my old one didn't but this is so quiet I wasn't sure it was even running, so it was a good trade off. One more thing, the old GE required two soap packages to clean well, and this does the same job with one. I may have to buy rinse aid which it hardly uses any and the bottle I got at Costco will probably last me two years, but it saves on soap. So far, I'm really happy with this purchase.

Have had the Bosch for about a month, and had no issues or problems. The noise level is good and I have not had any problems with dishes not being dry when completed. I have been using the auto cycle, which allows the machine to decide how long to run based on sensors. The only negative things I can think of are: 1. The lower rack requires a gentle touch and when pulling it out to remain on line. 2. The angles and tight placement of the lower rack's tines, requires me to place my cereal/soup bowls farther apart and in one particular orientation.

Very quiet dishwasher (supposedly more expensive models are even quieter, but I don't know why you'd need that). Excellent washing capabilities. I like the fact that this model does NOT have a 3rd drawer (for silverware); instead it has classic silverware baskets on the side of the first level. Standing up dishes takes a bit getting used to, the prongs are tilted, requiring dishes to be tilted - but once you figure out how to load them, it turns out to be pretty efficient. All in all, we are very satisfied with this dishwasher.

Nice and quiet. Washes and dries great. Would have liked to have a rack design that better accommodates soup bowls

Pro: Incredibly quiet and cleans dishes spotless. Con: Inside of dishwasher stinks a lot! And the heat doesn't dry dishes as good as I thought it would. Lots of water is left on them so I end up taking a dish towel and drying everything off afterwards. I would have thought a Bosch wouldn't have this issue but I guess not. I wondered if the drying/sink issue was impacting only mine, but I found out my ex-spouse has the same one and he has the same problem too.

We have had the unit roughly a month and so far we absolutely love it. It’s quiet, gets the job done well (even without a pre-rinse), and accommodates a LOT of dirty dishes and cups. We added the recommended drying agent and have not had a problem with drying time. The only negative I would mention that is mentioned in other reviews is yes - the prongs do make it difficult to load on occasion. Other than that we have been very satisfied.

After about 5 weeks, our evaluation is that this unit cleans well and is quiet enough, but the layout of the trays leaves something to be desired. We have had difficulty fitting certain dishes in it and the top tray (mainly for glasses) does not accommodate wine glasses as well as it should. Anyone considering it should bring a representative sample of their dishes to the store to 'try it out first.' We did that but probably brought the wrong items. We marked "Yes" for recommending it , but with the reservations as stated above.

When we first installed the dishwasher and tried a trial run, we didn't think it was working because we didn't hear it; opened the door after a few minutes and sure enough there was hot water in there and it really was working! We didn't buy it because it was so quiet, but it is a nice feature! Dishes get sparkling clean, better than our previous Maytag. It is a tall tub and allows for tall items to easily fit, but the racks seem smaller than our previous dishwasher, so I can't fit as many large bulky items like I did in our previous machine, though if I was only washing place settings it would fit a lot; I'm willing to take that trade-off for how great the dishes come out.

We were quite satisfied with our 15 year old Whirlpool dishwasher. Alas, the control board died. Looking at a $175+ replacement cost, we figured it was time for a new unit. My wife follows the Consumer Report recommendations, so we settled on Bosch. I agree with other reviewers on this site concerning this Bosch unit in this regard: it is incredibly quiet and cleans nicely. Glassware is essentially spotless. The racks are poorly designed and, while it appears they might hold a lot of dishes, the tines are so close together, few standard size items fit between them. Thus, you skip every other tine when loading thereby reducing the effective capacity. However, it is infuriating to wait 2 1/2 hours for a clean cycle and find many items still damp. Obviously, plastic will not dry. But we find that certain glasses, metal items, and some plates are damp. The stainless steel door is always damp upon completion of any wash cycle. We've resorted to leaving the door open for 15-30 minutes before emptying the washer. That's crazy. Why use a convenience device, if it's still a hassle? I understand that most dishwashers sold nowadays use the technique embedded in this unit - superheating the final rinse water - in order to achieve electricity efficiency ratings. It's dumb and it doesn't work - at least not on this unit. Bosch builds many great items. I have several Bosch hand tools and they are superb. I suspect that this dishwasher might have been also, but the inferior drying causes me to rank it poorly.

I've had this dishwasher for almost 2 months and I absolutely love it! It's super quiet and the dishes come out clean every time. Sometimes the load doesn't fully dry, however I was aware of this from previous reviews and to be honest it's not a big deal to me. I just open the door and pull out the racks and let me finish drying. I've honestly never used a dish washer they"fully" dried anyway lol, Do yourself a favor and read the manual. The loading is different than other dishwashers but holds just a much if not more, I really like it. Also make sure you clean out the filter in the bottom of the dish washer...super easy. I very happy with my purchase!

Have had it for about 4 months now. Cleans very well & is VERY quiet. Have run it when friends are over & they did not know it was on. Racks are different from 15 year old Kenmore we had so took some adjusting/getting used to them. Otherwise excellant dishwasher.

The Bosch Ascenta has been great - quiet, easy to use, flexible for different sized items, and cleans very well, never a need to rewash items. It was rated very highly by Consumer Reports, but so far it has exceeded our expectations.

This is an excellent buy for a smaller family, 3 - 4 people, or a retired couple. It cleans the dishes very well, the controls are easy to operate, & it is the quietest dishwaher we have ever owned.

This dishwasher works great. Cleans dried on food with no issue. I love that I can wash plastic on both levels. The silverware container is a great size and holds my silverware away from each other for better cleaning. Only issue is I wish the rack on the main level could be set up a little better to hold a bigger variety of different size dishes. But for the price I have bought this dishwasher twice. The first time I left it at the home I sold and bought a new one for the new home.
