The Bosch 800 Series ventless dryer was one of the few dryers that could fit a compact space. Initially I was concerned about the fact that it was ventless. However, it uses a hose to remove excess water (same drain as the washer) and the lint collector is highly efficient. It does NOT add much heat to the surrounding area (a concern in the hot summer months). The unit is quiet and very efficient with a multitude of settings and options. All in all, the is an excellent choice for my needs.

This is a nice dryer with zillions of customization features. It is small, one of the few that will fit into our small laundry closet. It is meant to go with the matching Bosch washer, as they share the same, single 240V plug (no separate 110 plug needed for the washer). It is ventless, so no external vent is needed. I was worried that it would make the room humid, but it does not seem to. It condenses the water out of the air, and drains it into the drain (it hooks up to the drain, like the washer does). However, it does make the room very warm, warmer than the vented dryer we had before. This is actually nice in the winter, not as nice in the summer. We have found that it consistently thinks it is done when things are not quite completely dry yet. Fortunately, it has options to dry things extra, and setting those options, it mostly works. However, we find that it still sometimes ends sooner than we would like, leaving things just ever so slightly damp. Not enough to make us regret the purchase, though.

I am very happy with my decision to purchase the Bosch Dryer. We did the stack set up. It is compact but still holds plenty, quiet, user friendly and seems very well made. My only complaint would be around the drying of my queen size sheets. They ball up and fail to dry without several trips to rearrange the sheets and pillow cases.

I did my research on this washer/dryer and decided that it was a good choice for me because the condo I live in has limited space and had 2 space saver stack washer dryer combos in the past that were nothing but problems. Though I have a vent accessible for the dryer the space would crimp the vent hose not working properly and for this reason i chose the Bosch ventless dryer which I now love. I have more control over the unit and can clean and maintain daily whereas with the vent needed a repair man every 6 months to clean the vents from the roof. I also don't have to use Bounce sheets because with a ventless dryer you don't have to deal with static.

I love this dryer. Yes it takes longer to dry clothes but it doesn't toast my clothes to a crisp either. My clothes are thanking me. They feel better and I've found that fabric softeners are unnecessary. Another advantage is that being ventless saves a ton of energy. I don't have to put a hole out the side of my house leaking air and pumping out my heat or AC air. It saves a ton of energy. It does take a few times to get used to it though. It takes longer, your clothes feel a bit damp after you take them out (even though they are dry, just not burnt like a normal dryer), and you have to clean out the condenser every once in a while (pretty easy). I wish I would have gone ventless years ago.

DO NOT BUY. Does NOT dry. 5-10 pieces of laundry in for over an hour...still damp. Call customer service, they will tell you it is an energy efficient model. Call it an energy efficient product, but DO NOT CALL IT A DRYER. Had a previous model for 20 years, should have rebuilt it.

When stacked the washer plugs into the dryer. This is awesome because the washer is 240 volt. The dryer has a drain hose and drain condensation instead of storing it in a reservoir. This protects against the dread fault out that can occur if the reservoir is not emptied.

I haven’t seen my energy bill yet. The dryer works well, has lots of functions, and doesn’t seem to overdry like some gas dryers.

I bought this as a set and it was totally worth it. They are small enough to fit in a condo but clean better than other front loaders I have own.

My review is for Best Buy, not Bosch. I purchased a Bosch washer and condenser dryer set for about $3,000 to replace an older model that we had and were happy with. A condenser dryer is ventless, but the BB site required me to purchase the hardware for a traditional dryer in order to place an online order. I was ok with that and returned it along with other unnecessary accessories that I was forced to buy, but were not needed. The dryer was not installed properly. Despite multiple calls and a visit to a nearby store, Geek Squad and Bosch have yet to show up for 3 different scheduled appointments! I purchased the extended warranty, but that's a waste of money since no one ever shows up. Each call to customer service takes about 30 minutes, sometimes longer. We will likely return both units and repurchase the same Bosch units from a more dependable retailer.

I will use the dryer less in the summer, since it adds extra heat and moisture indoors, but in the winter both elements will be a welcome addition to indoor air in Wisconsin.

Awesome little dryer. Space efficient. Built to last. My only complaint is that sometimes, being a ventless condensation dryer, sometimes your clothes smell a little burnt because the unit sends the mico fine lint particles through the heating coil to burn them off, instead of collecting inside the dryer.
