I chose to order this model after much deliberation to replace a 18+ yr old tappan dishwasher. This model appeared to offer the best blend of quality/options/performance and has not dissapointed after 5 months of heavy use. No pre-rinsing needed. Load it full of filthy dishes, turn it on and give it a couple of hours. Dishes will be very clean and 100% dry except for some plastic items that may still be damp unless you let the clean dishes sit overnight. The adjustable top rack is a nice feature. The dish racks are versatile and sturdy. I installed this myself. The quality of the product becomes obvious as you unpack and install it. Very easy to install and well designed. Seems to use water and electricity very efficiently. It is very quiet. In the same room, I barely notice it is running except for occasional noise of water in the sink drain. If I had to complain about something...the user's manual is written to be applied generically to several different Bosch models. So the buttons & features described in the manual don't exactly match this model. But it is very easy to use after running it a couple of times. All things considered, I would highly recommend this product to anyone shopping for a quality dishwasher for their home.

I have had Kenmore and Maytag dishwasher in the past but this is the best dishwasher I have ever had, it was smaller but actually held way more dishes then either of the two rivals. The top rack is so cool if I have tall glasses or even bowls I can drop the top rack down so to fit items that are taller, and I can take out the top rack and in order to do cookie sheets or other large items that wouldnt be able to fit with the top rack in and then there is the special piece that I have to put in for the cookie pans, this was way worth the extra costs. I love this dishwasher dont even know it is running it is so unbelievably quiet.

I haven't had this dishwasher long, but it is a tremendous improvement over my last machine (I refuse to call that one a dishwasher since that was the one thing it didn't do). The plastics don't come out very dry, but that's to be expected. I use only the recommended soap (Finish tablets) and the rinse agent. I've increased how dirty the dishes go in over each cycle, just to test where the limit is, and so far I haven't found one. Dried on, etc. has come out sparkling. I wish it had a few other things (I can't seem to get it to sound an alarm at the end of the cycle), but I can live with that. It does what I expect of a dishwasher - it cleans. And it is whisper quiet.

It's beautiful, strong, quiet, practical, well designed and best of all - affordable. I would have paid more money for this dishwasher. We researched many before purchasing - the other appliances in our kitchen were upgraded to stainless - but we got the Bosch instead of purchasing matching of the other brand that comprised the suite. Consumer Reports gave this item very high marks and we are more than satisfied with the purchase. It matches the other manufacturer's items - very low key but elegant design and purrs like a kitten when I'm in the kitchen. Otherwise, I have to open it to be certain that it's on (then I get a steam facial). Definitely use the Finish tablets. I have not seen a single spot or streak on my glassware since installation. Bosch rocks!

We've been using this dishwasher for just over a month. Since it is bosche, we new we would be getting a good dishwasher. After it was installed, we found that it was difficult to load. The racks are spaced too close together and our dishes to dot fit well. This dishwasher was supposed to accomodate up to 14 place settings and it does not even come close. I feel that it holds half of what my previous dishwasher could. Aside from that, the dishwasher itself is great. The cycles are a bit long (115 minutes each), but they come out crystal clean and it is very quiet. I have yet to reclean a dish and have put some dirty dishes in there.

This Bosch is a nice step up from our old basic GE. Quality throughout, quiet and it cleans the dishes well. The racks are quality with the adjustable top rack and we like the layout for plates, glasses, cups and silverware. The racks allow for pots and pans too with support tangs that fold down. We're using the Finish Tablets and Jet Dry with very good results. We are very satisfied with our new Bosch and installation went smoothly with no surprises.

Love this dishwasher, worth every penny. Had for about a month now. Super quiet!!! Washes pots well, really removes dirt. Difficult to load at first, but figured out a good method to enter dishes. Love that the upper rack lifts up to allow bigger backing dishes at bottom. also bottom rack folds allowing for pans and pots to fit. holds quite a bit of silverware. Most importantly, it cleans dishes with very little 'pre-rinse' needed. the clean time seems long (over 100 minutes)..but the time actually flies by. And we clean mostly at night. i would highly recommend buying this dishwasher!!!

I replaced the original dishwasher with another quiet but $$$ brand and returned it after having problems with it. I got this BOSCH instead and LOVE how quiet it is. We live in an open concept house and cannot hear it when it's running. My dishes come out clean AND sanitized. (I activated the Extra Dry Heat and use the Power Scrub Plus mode to clean all my dishes. See pg 13 of the Owners manual) I still have standing water on the deep concave portions of my coffee mugs, but that's the design of my mugs. All my other dishwashers (GE, Whirlpool, Kenmore, Etc.) did the same thing with my mugs. Sometimes the Tupperware will flip over and fill with water. But that happens with other dishwashers as well. Overall, I LOVE my BOSCH dishwasher. It' the best one that we've owned.

When looking for a quiet dishwasher, I read all the reviews I could find. This Bosch kept coming up and all I read about it was positive so I decided to give it a try. I found it to be pricey, but I tend to spend a little extra on things I use every day. I was satisfied with the warranty it came with as well. When I used it for the first time, WOW. It is so quiet a couple of times I've stopped to check to see if it really was running. The features are fine, although 95% of the time I just put in the soap tablet, close the door and press the "on" button. There are automatic sensors that do the rest, judging the load etc. Makes it pretty easy to use. I'm not "knocked out" by its cleaning ability, as it seems to be doing about the same job as my old Amana dishwasher. Still, I am very pleased with this upgrade. Now I can watch television or play Scrabble with the dishwasher on and enjoy what I'm doing.

Even at the half-load setting, this dishwasher cleans everything without spots. Add that to the lack of noise and this is the best dishwasher I've ever owned. The only drawback I've found is the shelf organization hasn't been as intuitive as other dishwashers I've owned. But I've found that I can cram bowls and plates together in ways I wasn't able with other dishwashers without impacting cleanliness.

Dishwasher review Mdl SHE55M15UC Price Features Size and rack arrangement Cleaning Drying Noise I had a 25 yr+ GE Potscrubber 600. It was on the replacement list as I plan a complete gutting of my kitchen but it had a plan of its own and died "prematurely". This mdl Bosch DW is on the upper end of their mid level 500 series and has many features of the upper end 800 series. It was not inexpensive. Has ST ST finish with recessed handle. Installation including removing old was about 1 hour. We have run about 2 loads a week and have had unit for two weeks. I want to make a comment about being "green". It is not worth it unless it is cost effective and works as claimed. Price-my definition is cost for value received B grade Features- has all the features we need and probably more. I like the idea of quick wash which is less than 1/2 the time of a normal wash which is closer to 2 hours A grade Size and rack arrangement-still trying to get use to this, size seems less than my old GE, this DW does not seem suitable for washing pots and pans as compared to glasses, table and silverware-incomplete grade Cleaning-my wife and I always rinse plates and silverware before loading into DW whether needed or not, old habits hard to break A grade Drying-hate to say it but it is poor, DW has a passive air drying method as opposed to a heating element. We knew this going into the purchase but still selected the Bosch. We have never used a separate liquid drying agent  but do now. After the wash cycle is complete, we crack the door which seems to help. C grade Noise nothing to say here but great-it is extremely quiet A+ grade

This dishwasher does everything as advertised. It washes great and is VERY quiet. Our previous one was a Bosch. I don't think I would buy anything else after these two.

My wife and I bought this dishwasher after our last one quit on us about 3 months prior to the purchase. We would let the dishes accumulate for weeks and wash them by hand for 2.5 hours. With this dishwasher, we allow the dishes to remain unrinsed for up to one week letting the food dry on them before putting them in this amazing dishwasher and fill the bin full of the cascade liquid soap, close the door and push the start button. The dishes come out sparkling clean as long as you let the dishwasher water hit the surface, if you block the surface, it is not as effective, but what dishwasher would be? Baked on cheese that is 1.5 weeks old is no match for this beast. The dishwasher takes about 2 hours for the Auto Wash, but the dishes come out dry, much better than any dishwasher I have ever used, including the hand washing method. We wanted a dishwasher to allow us to be even lazier than we already are, and this dishwasher allows us to be sloppily lazy, it's amazing. I will always buy this brand of dishwasher, I have always heard the hype, and now I am a believer.

I researched and went through so much trying to decide on a dishwasher. I was replacing an 11yr. old Bosch. I was drawn to this because of brand and features. This was one of a few that had a 1 year parts and labor warranty. I love this dishwasher. It cleans so well. The upper rack is not small like the less expensive model. Both top and bottom rack have adjustable tines. I have had no problems with it drying like some reviews. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a made in U.S.A. with U.S. and foreign parts label on the side. I have plenty of room for a family of four's dishes and it has great settings. I've had it for a month.

This replaced a brand new Samsung that was awful so I am very happy to have clean dishes finally. Before the Samsung I searched and searched for a dishwasher to replace my Bosch that I had for 11 years. The only reason I didn't buy this Bosch first was because of the price(the Samsung was $411). I was able to get the Bosch for under $800 so that was good. It is very quiet, you hardly know it is on and I like how the controls are on the outside where you can see them. When the cycle is complete, the light stays on until you open it. It has 2 tiers for short cups and glasses so you can wash alot of glassware. You can also remove the top rack and put in an attachment for small loads but we have a big family so I don't think I'll use that feature.

Got talked out of a Bosch four years ago. Hated the old machine, didn't get dishes clean among other problems. This Bosch is perfect in every way.

i love this and you cannot hear it running but i wish it had a larger tub
