Moved into a new house and I really missed my Bosch dishwasher. We have a great room and the dishwasher that came with the house was so noisy that we had to wait until bedtime to run it. This one is so quiet that I don't know it is on unless I am standing by the sink. And it cleans everything really well - no rinsing. I just scrape off my dishes and load. I am really happy with this.

This is our second Bosch and we couldn't be happier. I am not an appliance professional and I was able to install this, by myself, in about an hour--just follow the instructions. It is unbelievably quiet--hard to tell that it's running. The racks are very well designed to allow a lot of different shapes and sizes. We really like the 'half-load' feature which allows us to do dishes when we're in that in-between place. Very impressive at how clean and dry the dishes come out. If I had it to do over again I'd get the same model without the front panel display that tells you how many minutes are left--It's ok, but the little red light that shines on the floor tells me all I need to know. This is a great dishwasher--totally worth the price!

We bought this machine to replace our Kenmore that only lasted about three years. It is so quiet. You really don't hear the machine is on. To me it sounds like boiling water. I can't say I am impressed with its washing ability. It seems to wash the same as our previous washer. However, it is worth the price solely for the reduced noise. The racks appear smaller than our prior dishwasher and the arrangement is a bit awkward. It just a matter of getting used to a new setup. I don't like that there is not a knife holder. One other negative is that when the machine is done with its cycle you have to power it off. It's just a minor inconvenience.
I would recommend this product.

Worth the Money

I did some research before buying this dishwasher. It is definitely as quiet as they say. There are a few things that I am not used to. The dishes do not dry as well as I would like even when I use the heat cycle. I have been told that this is due to the new energy efficiency that is built into all newer models. Also, the cycles seem to take forever. My old washer, it was a 2002 model its longest cycle was 1 hour. This machines longest cycle is over 2 1/2 hours. I have noticed that on auto, it will count down faster as it senses the cycles. I do love how well it cleans, the capacity is good and although it was a little pricey, I would purchase it again!

We were looking to replace a very old dishwasher and chose this model. Have not been disappointed. Exceptionally quiet, cleans everything well. Read reviews talking about not getting dishes dry but was not a concern. We normally wash dishes at night and the next morning open it and allow dishes to stand for a bit. If you are looking for something that has a drying element and you can unload dry dishes as soon as it finishes the cycle, this is not for you. Our old dishwasher did not have a heating element to dry the dishes so we were accustomed to this.

This Bosch Dishwasher is the best I have owned by far. It does a great job on the dishes, has versatile racks, and is so quiet you would never know it is running. A little pricey but so far seems worth the cost.

I saw the Bosch 300 series on the showroom floor but wanted a quieter model, and was shown the 800 series online (while in the store). The salesman was seemingly knowledgable and said the Bosch could be side-mounted (the 300 series can, but the 800 cannot), which was key for me since it's installed under a granite counter top. The plumber (a subcontractor) had a *very* hard time installing the machine (took two hours, on a Friday night, and I had to help him by tilting the machine so he could run the power and water lines under the dishwasher). He was unable to attach the toe/kick plate (I was able to do in 10 minutes the next day). The machine *is* very quiet, with a spacious interior. The finish is matte black but appears polished/glossy black in the photos (a big disappointment). The controls are on top of the door (on the frame, which is made from a cheap feeling plastic which, I just know, will scratch easily and start looking dingy over time). You may be more satisfied than I was with this machine if you love the matte finish, have no concerns with a top mounted machine, and get a more seasoned installer (with a helper).

Ok so far so good on the new dishwasher. Runs smooth and quiet. Can leave the dishes wet if you don't give it time to sit and dry. 100 times more quiet than our GE that went out. Actually if it were not for the red light that shines on the floor I would not be able to tell it was running or not. Hope for a long and quiet life to come. Price was a little on the high side. Best Buy installation was professional and courteous .
