I absolutely LOVE these Bose Sunglasses!!! I bought them for my daily walks and they work like a charm. I can hear the music perfectly but also hear what is going on around me for safety purposes. And they don't physically hurt my ears like my ear buds did. I'm only sorry that I didn't discover these sunglasses sooner!!!

Love these soundtrack sunglasses.
They look very cool and work well.
They claim that it can last for 5.5 hours and are fully charge in an hour.
I did not try the battery length yet, but I did make phone calls from them via Siri and the sound was good.

I love my Bose sunglasses the speaker sounds are phenomenal. I’m very happy with the purchase. I also purchased a pair for my husband and he also loves them. When our friends see them they ask us about how we like them and we just have high praises. This purchase was well worth it. I would do it again.

Superb Bose sound for enjoying music & phone calls

To be honest I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect with tiny speakers in a pair of “thick black frames” to quote part of a ZZ Top song but I figured if Bose makes it then it’s gonna be good. I wasn’t disappointed. Outstanding sound and build quality. Most certainly not “cheap”. However, they are rather big and a little bulky but they fit well on me. My wife tried them out too, but they didn’t fit her quite as well. They slid down her nose but she put some stick-on nose pads on them and that helped. We both loved the sound quality for music and phone conversations. It also sounds clean and full for the person on the other end of the conversation. Read on for more details.
Setup, Connection and Controls:
Downloading the Bose Music App and pairing the glasses is pretty straight forward. However, to use the app you will have to enable location / GPS or it won’t run it at all. This could be an issue for some people. The app lets you manage connections to other Bose Bluetooth products as well as shows you how to use the glasses. Pause, Skipping tracks and adjusting the volume. It doesn't have anything I could find to EQ the sound. Since they do not seal up in your ear canal they are not noise cancelling.
One button on the right hand arm turns it on and off (hold a few seconds to turn off). Laying the glasses upside down for 2 seconds or longer will turn them off too. For music Single clicking the button will Pause / Unpause, Double clicking will Advance to the next track and Triple clicking will play the Previous track.
Phone use Single click will Answer / End. Double click will Decline a call.
Touching and sliding your finger forward on the front of the Right temple on the frame arm will increase the volume. Slide to the rear to decrease volume. Double Tap to use your device’s Voice Control.
Look, Fit and Wearability:
From what I can tell they certainly fit the current trend in eyewear with a retro Ray-Ban Wayfarer look. They are big and big is in, but fit could be a problem for some people but will probably fit fine for most. They felt fine on my face, nose and ears. No sharp edges and they didn’t slide around. They stay on my head when I bend over. Overall they are comfortable to wear.
My wife’s take on wearing them is a little different. Her head and face is smaller than mine. She needed to put pads on the nose piece to keep them from sliding down her nose. They fit ok after that but she says they are too big for her face. They are a little bit big but that’s the trend and looks are a subjective thing.
You can change the lenses. I think this is a big plus. I did some research on the other models of Bose Sunglasses and discovered that you can get pretty much any kind of lens you need prescription wise. Including progressive and bifocal. Sunglasses or clear. Can even get Transitions (self darkening lens coating) too. I may get progressives with transitions to go in mine. I’m an HVAC contractor and that would be perfect for me on the go. I’m inside, outside and on the road and being about to take calls without losing any ambient hearing because something is blocking one or both ears is pretty attractive to me.
I think they worked well as sunglasses in general with the supplied polarized lenses. Certainly on par with any other polarized sunglasses I have worn over the years. And as stated before you can get replacement lenses, prescription lenses and including from third parties from what I have read.
Sound Quality:
Just the fact it’s Bose tells you they will sound good, and they do, but here’s how they stand up against other similar products I have reviewed.
First let me keep it apples to apples and compare them to my Trekz Air by Aftershokz since they are the most similar as they do not fit in the ear canal. The Bose sound better but the Trekz Air gets louder. The Bose sound better playing music with better highs and lows. I think the Trekz have an edge for phone conversations due to EQ tailored for voice over music and they get louder if need be if ambient noise is loud. They sit in front of the ear canal and conduct sound through bone. The Bose have speakers that sit in front and above the ear canal anywhere from approximately 1 inch to 2 inches away depending on the wearer.
Compared to in ear devices they perform really well. Better than I expected but in ear devices have better, deeper bass and smoother highs that reach higher frequencies. My Master and Dynamic WM07 Plus are the best sounding earbuds I have with my wired Bose Sound Sports coming in second. Due to the design and nature of how these products work, the Bose Sunglasses will never sound quite as good as in ear and over ear devices (including enclosed). But they get about as close as you can probably get to them.
Battery Life:
Bose states the Frames are rated for up to 3.5 hours of audio playback and 12 hours of standby, and they charge fully in less than 2 hours. I have gotten about 4 hours playback and haven’t run them down talking on the phone a total of about 5 hours. I’m sure this will vary depending on how loud you run them and possibly how far away from your phone you get with them.
They do not come with a charger. They have a USB cable with a proprietary connector the snaps on to the frame arm magnetically.
Conclusion:
I would recommend them for what they are. They may not be right for everyone due to their size. Being able to change lenses, and the options that go with that, is an advantage. I do wish they got a little louder. If you’re listening to music in a moderately quiet environment you won’t need full volume but if ambient noise gets loud, full volume may not be able to get over it whether it’s music or a phone conversation. Other than that, I’m very pleased.

I never thought I would give a pair of Audio Sunglasses a try, but man, I am glad I did.
Adhering to typical Bose quality, the sound is GREAT.....if you don't mind sacrificing bass. Like, a lot of bass. I searched high and low on the app and even my phone and tablets for maybe a bass/treble setting to no avail.
The app itself is pretty basic. Select from a lineup of devices you have and add it to the app to set up. There is no customization at all, literally the only thing you do is rename the glasses. No other options at all other then viewing what your listening to and battery life.
The sound is great. Putting on the glasses and listening to music/podcasts/etc really makes it sound like you have an actual pair of earbuds in and you can still hear everything around you. Also depending on how loud you have it, someone in close proximity can hear what you are too just a little.
As I stated before, bass is pretty much non-existent, but it doesn't ruin the listening factor that much to keep anyone away. Because of this and the ability to not adjust the setting for treble/bass, I docked off 1 star.
The glasses are great here in Texas. When it's sunny 20 hours a day baking you, these are a life saver. Stylish and functional. I love how you can adjust the sound by just sliding your finger forward or backward where the Bose logo is on the right side of the glasses. One thing I noticed, when viewing any screen, albeit a phone, tablet or TV, it gives off a rainbow glare.
So far on 1 charge, I used these 3 hours a day for 6 days straight. Charging is also super fast. The single button on the bottom on the right side can do a couple of things.
Press and Hold - Power ON/OFF
Press 1 time - Pause
Press 2 times - Skip Track
Press 3 times - Previous Track
A word of caution though. Comfort will vary for person to person. The box states One-Size, but this does NOT mean One size fits all. Far from it. The glasses themselves give little to no wiggle room when putting them on. I HIGHLY suggest finding a store to make sure you select the right size for your head, else getting a pair slightly too small will result in discomfort and maybe a slight headache.

Bose sunglasses are great for those who want to be aware of there soroundings meanwhile listening to whatever or speaking to someone all while having shade when walking or bike riding . ^_^
The constructive criticism would be:
*for the cost provide inexpensive glasses lanyard.
*Better battery life
*Darker polarized lenses
*water resisting/proofing.
(bathed my dog while it was sunny and realized maybe I should put away sunglasses because of exposing speakers to water might damage them)

Innovative, Premium Sound Audio Sunglass!

I have never used audio sunglasses and Bose introduced Bose - Frames Soprano and other designs. I got Soprano Frames to try out due to the reputation of premium sound quality and design from Bose.
Bose - Frames Soprano Audio sunglass is an excellent choice for music and calls. It came with Bose Frames Soprano — Cat Eye Bluetooth Audio Sunglass, Charging cable, Microfiber Cloth, and Protective case. Setup is very easy and configured my phone quickly. I have downloaded the Bose Music app from the iOS app store. There was a firmware update available and updated the latest firmware via the Bose Music app.
Build quality is great and very lightweight frame crafted with ultramodern materials for a luxurious look and feel which can be used for a long period of time. The frame fits perfectly for me and did not fit properly for my son and spouse. The one size did not fit for all. The frames on the side bigger than regular sunglasses which is acceptable to accommodate battery for audio sunglasses. The sound quality exceeded my expectation. The exclusive Open Ear Audio technology produces beautiful audio quality. With a medium sound setting, no one can hear the music. If the sound setting is maximum, it is clearly audible to others standing near to me.
With the Bose Music app, basic settings can be done and there is various product help available in the app. Bose polarized lenses reduce glare, enhance visibility, and block up to 99% of UV rays with shatter-and-scratch-resistant lenses. There are optional interchangeable tinted lenses from the Bose Frames Lens Collection available for purchase. With an Advanced beamforming microphone array, Bose audio sunglass is providing crystal-clear phone calls with the advanced microphone system designed to focus on voice while reducing the sounds of wind and noise. I have used the frame for listening to music and taking calls while doing hiking and it is very convenient to have sunglasses as well as music in one device. I am using it every day now and I wish there are more design as there are only 3 design options from Bose. Hopefully, there might be more designs coming soon from Bose.
The touch controls are awesome. Volume can be controlled by swiping on the right frame. The seamless capacitive touch and an integrated motion sensor provide complete control. By sliding a finger along the right temple to adjust the volume and double-tap to access the phone’s voice assistant. I take them off and place them upside down, they turn off automatically. It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and streams up to 5.5 hours of audio. It will take 1 hour to charge fully via the included magnetic charging cable and will get up to 2.5 hours of play from a short, 30-minute charge.
There is a downside with the size of the frame and limited designs. I am sure that Bose will address those in the future by introducing more designs. This is really a great start for Audio Sunglass and it is a very innovative product from Bose with premium materials and outstanding sound quality.

An All-In-One Package!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I take my sunglasses and headphones everywhere I go. I do walk a lot most days and I find these items essential to my daily walks. The Bose Frames Audio Glasses is an all-in-one package. I will not have to worry about forgetting about either of these items again! The Bose Frames are not a replacement to headphones but will provide you with an open-ear audio experience that will help you be aware of your surroundings while listening to your favorite tunes. I did find that I got distracted a lot with my headphones in my ear and whenever someone needed to talk to me, I needed to take them out. The Bose Frames eliminates these problems with the open-ear audio design.
======================
OPEN-EAR AUDIO:
The open-ear audio is designed to reduce the sound leakage coming from the small speakers. I found that even a moderate amount of volume barely leaks the audio. I tested this in both a quiet and in a noisy environment. The sound barely leaked in a quiet environment. I did have to go a bit louder in a noisy environment but even then, the sound leakage was minimal. You will not have to worry about others hearing your music or conversation. The audio quality was better than expected on both music and phone calls. Bose audio products usually have some great sound and I am pleased that these Bose Frames were incorporated with the beautiful acoustics that Bose products have. And to my surprise, there is a little bass to them.
======================
TOUCH CONTROLS:
One of my favorite perks of these Bose Frames is the various touch controls. The play/pause button is below the right temple. You can also double-press to skip to the next track and triple-press to skip to the previous track. This button can also be used to answer or decline phone calls. To change the volume, all you need to do is swipe forward or back to increase/decrease the volume. The Bose Frames also support voice assistant, simply double-tap the right temple.
======================
BOSE MUSIC APP:
I would definitely recommend the Bose Music App to experience the full immersive experience of the Bose Frames. Here you can play around with various settings and be provided with tips/information for your Bose Frames. Some of these include naming your sunglasses, enabling prompts, switching languages, viewing all your Bluetooth connections, and more. There is also an option to automatically shut off your Bose Frames after 10 minutes of inactivity. Unfortunately, there is no way to change the inactivity time at the moment. I am hoping Bose will incorporate a way to change this inactivity time in future updates. I found the “flip-to-off” option pretty convenient. This option quickly shuts off your Bose Frames when you flip them upside down!
======================
DESIGN/BATTERY LIFE:
I am not a huge fan of the design of the Bose Frames. They look like the 3D movie theatre glasses you receive in theatres. But I am sure many people will be okay with the design. The lenses are polarized and scratch-resistant. They are easily removable if you ever would need to switch them out for a different color. You can also add your prescription lenses to these! The battery life is a lot better than the previous Bose Frame models that were released last year. With these, you will be receiving up to 5.5 hours of streaming and quick charging time. 30 minutes of charging will yield to 2.5 hours of playtime!
======================
OVERALL:
If you are someone who would like the all-in-one package of both the audio device and sunglasses, I would recommend these. The sound quality is clear, and the battery life is even better. You can take these on walks, play non-contact sports, or even take them into your office and listen to some tunes while working on that excel sheet!

Bose - Frames Soprano Audio Sunglasses with Bluetooth Connectivity
Summary:
A surprisingly functional pair of sunglasses with built-in audio.
Pros:
* Music quality is surprisingly good.
* Build feels solid.
* Frames are bold - they remind me of the 80s frames women used to wear.
* Svelt size. These sunglasses aren't as bulky as I thought they might be. They are comfortable to wear. I don't think most people would even notice they aren't *just* sunglasses^.
* Easy to use - the touch controls, buttons, and configuration options available via iOS/Android apps are impressive. From auto off/on to controlling volume to answering calls.
* You can take calls! These work better for taking calls than my Apple Airpod Pros.
* Snug fit. You could go to a mosh pit and be fine. Probably.
* Easy to charge with provided USB cable (no charger included).
Cons:
* They are NOT one-size-fits-all. If you have a wide head or find it difficult to get fit for a nice pair of (sun)glasses, then this probably won't fit you either.
* Did I mention the frames are bold? It's fine if you like the look, but they might be too much and this is from a huge fan of aviators!
* Charging cable is proprietary. If you fray or break the cable, you will need a new one from Bose.
* These units do NOT inject audio directly into your ears. They project audio at your ears. What this means is that audio escapes. This means that wearing these on a plane, or near others will get you noticed and they will hear your calls and your music. Not that those are normal use conditions for sunglasses. :)
Use:
* I use them when I want to listen to music and I'm outdoors and need protection from the sun. This means bike riding, walking the dogs, or hiking. They fit snugly and I have no concerns wearing them. These are particularly great because while passing on narrow trails you need to hear incoming/passing people. This applies to those on bikes as well. With AirPods, noise cancellation, and all - I usually miss all of the important cues placing myself and others in danger. Finally, as I mentioned above, audio escapes. So I only wear these and play music when I don't expect to bother others. At maximum volume, you can very easily hear what is come out of them from a few feet away.
Note:
I took a video of my partner wearing them listening to music. This isn't a big deal but something to consider if you need privacy or don't want to disturb others.
If you're itching for something like this, the price point might be worth it. I'm still on the fence on the value of this product. This is where I ding the product a few stars. Perhaps if they offered a list of partner optometrists that could switch lenses (for a cost), they would be worth more to me. As sunglasses, they still might be a little too niche activity use case for me.

Hello!
It's great to hear how much you've been enjoying the sound quality, style and, fit of your Frames!
You'll be happy to know you can get other lenses, including prescription lenses added to Frames! This means you can add prescription lenses (sunglasses or other) to your Bose Frames through any licensed prescription lens installer. We also have other styles of lenses available as part of the Bose Frames Lens Collection. For the Soprano there are Purple Fade, and Mirrored Rose Gold Lenses available.
The style of the Soprano Frames is based on the cat-eye design, elegantly updating it to provide a dash of retro glamor. They are refined to match a wide range of face shapes making sure they are comfortable and decidedly durable.
When listening to audio, the Frames use our Bose Open Ear Audio™ design so that the speakers are precisely positioned to direct sound at you and away from everyone else, while drastically reducing the spread of sound beyond you. So you won't need to worry about disturbing those around you.

These Bose - Frames Soprano Audio Sunglasses are not only the best sunglasses i have ever owned but has the great sound of Bose audio built right in.
As someone who rarely spends more then $25 on sunglasses, I now know why people buy premium eye protection. Before even turning on the speakers I wore the sunglasses outside for a while. Everything became so much clearer as I didn't need to squint to block the brightness of the sunny day. I almost felt as if they were improving my vision and they are not prescription glass. The protection you will get from harmful UV rays will help in avoiding eye issues in the future.
Before buying these Bose - Frames Soprano Audio Sunglasses i thought the arms looked a little big and clunky. I did know that the speakers were stored here but I thought they would look strange. Once i put them on and looked in a mirror I was really surprised at how normal they actually looked. (see pic) I loved the fit. The part that rest on the ear was comfortable and there was no pinch on the bridge of my nose either.
Now the sound. It is everything you would expect from a Bose audio product. The sound is so awesome and clear you would think you had ear buds in. For someone like me who can't use noise canceling earbuds, (because they cause ringing in my ears) these are a perfect substitute. you get clear sound but can still hear surrounding outdoor sounds. I live in a rural town so I can't review how these would sound in a big city with lots of noise but to go out on a walk, run, or hike these are perfect.
Keeping the volume turned 1/2 way up ensures only you will be able to hear your music, podcast, phone call etc coming out of the speakers. I had to turn them almost all the way up before my wife (5ft away) could hear the music I was playing. I don't know how Bose accomplished this but almost all the sound coming out of the speakers goes right to your ears. Adjusting the volume level is pretty cool too. Just slide your finger along the right arm to lower or raise the volume. You can use the volume button on your phone too.
All the functions primarily come off 1 button on the frames right arm. Turn on and off, answer and end calls, skip forward and back songs all with the one button on the bottom of the arm. Very simple to use.
Calls came through clear and with no distortion even with the phone in my pocket. The voice assistant worked well too. I could just double tap the top of the right arm and give commands like "call Bill" "play Spotify" or ask for directions.
Charging is very easy. a magnetic strip attaches to a port on the right arm and in less then 2 hours you have a full charge. I have used them for at least 2 hours straight several times and never drained the battery. I believe Bose says they will last over 3 hours before needing a charge. They come with a nice carry case which I will be sure to use since these aren't my normal $20 sunglasses.
These glasses are absolutely amazing!!!!
