I already have Wired/Wireless Headphones (ATH M50X) and wireless earphones (AirPods Pro 2) and i wanted to dwell down the memory lane with wired earphones and wanted to avoid radiation that wireless headphones/earbuds brings with. Bose noice cancelling earbuds sound quality is good and love the carrying case provided. I wish the DewDrop mint color option is provided on bestbuy for purchase.

I was not quite sure why there was such an interest and resurgence of wired earbuds until I tried them (again). Freedom from charging and pairing and the inclusion of automatic noise cancelling permitted by the powered USB-C connector used as the interface, allows the magic. Granted, it limits usage to devices with USB-C connections, but then that’s not a very heavy lift these days. When the industry led by the bitten-fruit company killed off analog headphone connections on most of its personal listening devices, I was devastated and disappointed. It decapitated my ability to easily connect any number of conventional headphones or analog amplifiers to the growing number of portable music storage machines. So, I suppose just like the fashion industry’s attempts at revitalizing a faded fashion with a slight variation to make it just modern enough, yet “vintage” to peak a customer’s interest, wired headphones are back. At least for a while. When you open the spartan box, you will find the wired ear buds, a handy zippered case to store them in that doesn’t require or give any charging, three sizes of ear tips and two sizes of support wings, all aspiring to nestle into your ears and accomplish the needed acoustic seal that enables your future appreciation of all thing’s bass as well as all those other frequencies. The color of your buds will have been chosen from among three choices, Black, White or Dewdrop Mint. Strung out on the cable, you’ll find some controls that allow for volume and start/stop/next music control, and a microphone for clear phone communications. While Bose doesn’t always guarantee that what you say over that microphone will be brilliant and timely, it won’t be for lack of your hearing clearly through those great sounding ear buds. Using only intuition and without the aid of any written or other communication from Bose that might have otherwise accompanied the product and might have been a better use of the two completely blank pages in the quick start guide, I discovered that the slow press of the center button on the control module on the cord is what allows the selection of three different operating modes. “Quiet” mode enables the ANC function as well as a significantly different and better sounding EQ compared to the mode described by the disembodied voice as the “Off” position. “Aware” mode, the third position, allows for a bit of outside sound to mix in with your program to keep you alert to your immediate surrounding environment. One caution for my big-ear-canal brethren out there, the large ear tips fit pretty well, but an expression change on your face might also yield a temporary EQ change, as the ear tips shift around a bit when your pinnae move and break the all-important seal that allows the low frequencies to be perceived as they were intended. It is most noticeable when in the non-quiet mode. I’d also personally prefer a few changes on top of all the good features already employed. For the sake of durability, a right-angle USB-C connector might make for a longer-lasting connection before wear from use takes its toll on the strain relief junction. Oddly, there are no strain reliefs on either side of the control/microphone module. Hopefully, that area proves to be sufficiently durable without them. One thing that I don’t miss is the need for yet another app and the need to agree to some lengthy legal agreement. I also won’t miss the possibility of my data being sold for profit and/or compromised. The simplification of this product is very refreshing. It just does what you’d hope it would do. It sounds really good. It stores easily in its pouch. You don’t worry about needing to charge it or keeping it up to date with firmware or controlling it with an app. There are very few controls or options to fuss over and if one of the buds falls out of your ear, it doesn’t fall into a gutter or onto a commuter train track, it just falls about a foot or two and you haul it back up by the cord and stick it back in or maybe put it away and talk to people around you! Also, people are less likely to start a one-sided conversation with you like when wearing cordless earbuds, as the wearing of this corded device makes it obvious that you are listening elsewhere. In conclusion, these corded earbuds sound great, are just flexible enough in their features to cover what you need and allow clear phone communication via the cord-mounted microphone. I’d recommend them as a supplement to whatever you may be using currently. I haven’t been on a flight with these to really test the ANC function and gauge the additional battery drain on a listening device over an extended flight time, but I’m sure it won’t be too long before that happens. In everyday use, the ANC is a welcome relief from background noise. I don’t think it’s quite as effective as my over-the-ears Bose headphones with both their mechanical sound-blocking ability and ANC, but seemingly more effective than any other cordless earbuds that I’ve tried. I recommend these for their high-quality sound and affordability.

Finally, Bose refreshes its wired earbuds just in time to meet the resurgence of wired audio. After nearly 11 years, Bose updates and releases its wired buds, bringing the legendary ANC and Aware modes everyone knows and loves to a sleek redesign that is less bulky and more modern. With IPX4 protection against sweat and splashes, these are good for runners and gym rats who don't want to fuss with batteries and pairing. Students, travelers, commuters, and road warriors will also benefit from these, as you don't need to worry about losing them since they are connected. Eliminate humming and background noise from your day while traveling, studying, or working at your best. Setup is simpler than ever; just plug in directly into any USB-C port, and you'll have access to the features you may be accustomed to on their wireless buds line. There is almost no latency and no Bluetooth pairing, making this easier to set up, but the only trade-off is the almost 4' wire. Sometimes it gets in the way; most of the time, you don't run into it unless you are actively jumping around. Everything fits nicely into the included zipper case, which is a nice added bonus. Included in the nice case are all the tips and stability bars to make the fit perfect. These are the high-quality, exceptional-sounding earbuds you know, love, and would expect from Bose. This rendition brings clean and clear sound while it fuses legendary ANC to bring focus and attention to what you are listening to. No more A/C or fan rumbling contaminating your soundscape. ANC handles that perfectly. These buds can accept source input at any sample and bit rate, locking in fixed output at 24bit/48kHz.The exquisite sound signature is typical of Bose, with boomy, clear bass and clean mids with crisp highs. The soundstage is wide and clear and doesn't get muddled together. They remember the last setting used, and you can cycle between Aware (transparency mode), Quiet (ANC), or Off with the press of the inline controller. These really feel premium, and I don't experience ear fatigue. The new design almost allows me to forget they are in, except for a cord. The fit was perfect for me after switching to the soft silicone Large-sized ear gels and using the largest stability tip that was already installed. While running and working out, there are no issues with movement or being loose. They stay put and seal out the outside noise so that ANC and Passthrough work well without sound leaking in. ANC is excellent at filtering low and mid-pitched hums and rumbling. Fairly good at blocking noise, although you can still hear higher-pitched sounds, which is typical. I noticed pressure from long-term use, and this is to be expected for most ANC. Passive noise isolation is good, but you can still hear voices. Aware "Pass-through mode" is welcome and works great, making it clear like you don't have your buds in. They actually help you hear better by amplifying sounds in quiet environments. My only gripe with these is the microphone. If you use these for phone calls or recordings, the mic sounds basic and what you would hear from 10 years ago. Sounds like you are in a tin can, and your voice doesn't sound full at all. You hear lots of background noise, and I would like to see them improve this for the price. Things to know: They sound great; exceptional Bose sound signature. Fit is comfy. Ear tips are comfy, and so are the wings. They are a little heavier due to the weight of the buttons on the inline controller, but not crazy. Mic is just basic and reminiscent of early 2000s sound tech. Cable is long and high quality. Controls are easy to use and tactile. USB connection for iOS and Android devices alike. Also, these are great for work laptops or PC when you need quiet time. Things to improve: The mic. They should upgrade the mic to make them sound better. Sounds like I am in a can with background noise. The Verdict: These are a nice pickup, and I am glad to see Bose refresh the wired lineup for those who aren't interested in charging or losing earbuds. This is a nice, no-fuss, easy-to-use, and reliable audio solution for anyone in the market for wired audio needing ANC and passthrough. Definitely recommended!

I’ve been listening to the Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds now for about a week and have to say I am quite impressed with the sound quality, especially for the price. Wired earbuds disappeared from the scene about 8-10 years ago with the advent of Bluetooth. It seems Bose is feeling nostalgic in bringing back wired earbuds for new generations to enjoy. It certainly brought back memories of what life was like back then, listening to music from my iPhone again through wired earbuds, but I don’t ever remember them sounding this good back then. As far as audio quality goes, they sound close to earbuds costing at least two times as much based on my experience with high-end earbuds. The bass on these is tight and clean and not boomy, while the highs are crisp without being harsh sounding. What I noticed most is the emphasis or projection of the singers’ voices, coming through noticeably clear in the mid-frequencies. You can feel the kick of the bass drum in the bass, and you have to wonder how that kind of sound can come from such a small source in your ear, but it works! I have a set list of songs I like to use to evaluate headphones and all sounded great. The earbuds plug into any smartphone or device that uses a USB-C connector for charging and accessories. In the case of my iPhone 16 Pro Max, the earphones were instantly recognized with no setup required. It’s weird at first, since there is no app to download and nothing to configure. Any equalization settings to tailor sound to personal taste needs to be done in the music app itself. I did find the bass will distort if you push the low frequencies too far. Everything is operated by the inline control, located where the wire splits to each earbud. There are three buttons and they are raised so that you can operate by feel. The top and bottom buttons control the volume up and down. The middle button is multi-functional, controlling the music with pause and step forward and back through your playlist. A long press of the middle button is used for Bose’s QuietControl noise cancellation settings (off, ambient, and on). Noise cancellation was effective and perfect for settings like public transportation. The ambient setting uses the built-in microphone so that you can hear important things like gate boarding announcements at an airport for example. The microphone also works well when taking phone calls and I was able to continue a conversation without removing the earbuds. Each time I called someone, the person I spoke with said my voice was clear. The earbuds themselves are very comfortable and come with difference tips and ear “stability wings” that fit the shape of your ear. They fit my ears perfectly out of the box but it’s easy to change them to fit anyone. I did find it a bit odd that there are no L or R labels on the earbuds, but once you get the hang of how they fit, you will adapt quickly. The tips are very soft but fit firmly and perfect for wearing even during strenuous exercise. Bose includes a nice flat carry case that will easily fit in a back pocket, purse, or jacket. It’s perhaps a little bigger than it needs to be, but I do appreciate a slimmer profile case such as this. In summary, these are great sounding earbuds that include features like noise cancellation that one would expect from Bose, at a very affordable price. I think wired earbuds are still relevant today and in some ways are refreshing because of their simplicity…no batteries to charge and no Bluetooth connections to worry about...they just sound good.

Much to my chagrin, wired headphones are becoming more and more niche. Most phones these days don't come with headphone jacks, most companies don't sell nicer wired headphones anymore, and the lossy, finicky frustration of bluetooth earbuds and headphones have become the new norm. So when I saw these, I was pretty excited. Even though they're USB C and not a 3.5mm jack, I still had a lot of hope that Bose, a large name in headphones, was making a set of wired earbuds again. To those who haven't used USB C wired headphones before (I hadn't, until these), they work exactly the same as standard 3.5mm jack ones. You plug them into your device with a USB C port, and the audio comes out through them. Simple as that. It's refreshing compared to headphones where you have to connect via bluetooth, and install an app to adjust their functionality to your needs. As far as comfort, and their ability to stay in your ear, these are great. I normally struggle with earbuds staying in my weird-shaped ears, but these hold fast no matter what I'm doing. The wings (there are two sets included of different sizes, or you can forego them altogether if desired) keep them steady, yet I barely feel them. Additionally, I've been able to wear them for ~2 hours without discomfort, which is unusual for most earbuds for me. The noise cancelling is great, too. No noise cancelling is perfect, some sounds are always going to come through. But for consistent background noise, like fans, background chatter, car or train or plane noise, these will make it impossible to hear most of it. It also doesn't give you that weird water-in-your-ear feeling some noise cancelling does, which is very nice. You can turn the noise cancelling on and off by holding the center button, and a voice tells you which noise setting you're on, so it's easy to adjust to whatever situation you're in. My one minor complaint is the actual sound quality itself. Don't get me wrong, they sound good. But for $100, I expected a bit more. I've got $10 wired 3.5mm JVC earbuds that sound indistinguishable from these. You get good sound clarity, and things are decently balanced, but the bass is lacking. I know there's only so much bass you can put through small drivers that can be found in earbuds, but still. I have only positives to say aside from that. It comes with a nice little pouch, it comes with multiple ear tips, the cable is a good length, the plug is sturdy, they look nice. I just wish there was a touch more bass. Very good overall.

These Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds attempt to fill in a gap that I have been wanting to fill. Even when phones eliminated headphone jacks, I used wired earbuds for as long as I could with dongles. I eventually did go wireless since it was the easiest to purchase and also allowed simultaneous charging. I hate having to make sure they are charged and dealing with Bluetooth functions. While many of us (me included) have gotten used to wireless, there is still a place for wired and the desire to have something compact that just needs to be plugged in. I use wired headphones at home but would love some compact earbuds to toss in my bag and maintain the sound quality I have become accustomed to. I have to be honest and admit that within the first first hour of owning these earbuds, I managed to damage them while changing the silicone tips. The tips are silicone but also contain a plastic connector collar. The instructions say to squeeze and peel it way to get the tip off. I was unable to get it to budge and in one of my attempts to squeeze, my nail managed to cut into the ear buds and create a rip. I was shocked because I have natural short nails and was careful to not pull too hard. I initially thought maybe it was just an impression but nope, it was a clean cut. Hopefully, Bose will sell spare tips in the future like they do for their other products because these are clearly not that sturdy or easy to avoid user error. Fit and Comfort: Over the period of 4 days, I tried to find the perfect fit by swapping out the tips and the stability wings. It felt like a huge learning curve to finding a good fit as someone who has never used Bose earbuds before and is used to the traditional round tips that go further into my ears. I read through the manual and did a lot of research to try to get a good comfortable fit. I wish there were more sizes available than the 3 included. I feel like I probably fall between two sizes because the small was too wiggly but more comfortable and the medium had a more snug fit but I was sore afterwards. The shape and design of the earbuds just don’t make it that intuitive on correct placement. There is a lot of leeway on how much rotating can be done as I try to find the best fit and position. The winning design feature of these earbuds are the stability wings. No matter what ear tip size I tried, how far I pushed the ear tips into my ears or barely put them in , the stability wings kept them in place. I can shake my head or tip my head from side to side without fear of the earbuds from budging. Initially, I scoffed at the ugly stability wings because I associated them with the sport versions of earbuds that go behind the ear and are typically clunky. These are tiny and disappear once they are behind my ear ridge. Sound: The sound is good and feels full. It is the quality I would expect from Bose. I have been using mostly audiophile level headphones the last two years and I was not disappointed with the sound from these. The earbuds don’t allow for any adjustments to the bass and other audio levels like wireless ones. I don’t often adjust them anyway so it's ok. The active noise cancelling was decent. It is definitely not the best out there but it was enough to comfortably block noises at the gym and a really loud recumbent bike. I really did like the aware setting. My voice was also enhanced so I could maintain a normal volume and didn’t feel like maybe I need to speak louder since I couldn’t hear myself to know the actual level I was speaking. One of the annoyances of wired earbuds is hearing the cable vibrate and move around. The traditional fixes that usually reduce it a bit are not included in this pair of earbuds. There is no slider at the chin to reduce movement. There is no clip for the controller. I have myself stuffing the controller into the collar of my shirt to try to reduce movement. I think I will get used to it as I was used to for the decades before wireless but unfortunately right now trying to do some chores or things that require a lot of head turning is accompanied by a lot of awareness of the cable movement noise. Controls: The controller is substantial in build and the buttons are easy to press. This unfortunately means it also is heavy and pulls the earbuds down. I wish it had a clip to assist with the weight but I guess that would also add to the weight. I am probably the happiest though that there are physical buttons. I am so tired of having to learn sequences of taps and swipes to control wireless earbuds and headphones or just plain ignoring the functionality due to lack of intuition or response. It took me less than 2 minutes to learn the controls of these earbuds. I am so thankful that the ANC, Aware and Off functions are switched by just holding the center button and that there is a voice that will let you know what function is currently being used. I hate when it is just a beep and I am spending a lot of time trying to figure out if the ANC is on or off by trying to see what I can or cannot hear. The controller holds the microphone and I found it had good sound. Even though it says you don’t have to hold it up to your mouth, if you try it is kind of difficult because it is attached to both cables as opposed to just one side. Overall, if you can find your perfect fit, these are a good option for wired earbuds. I do think they could make some improvements in future iterations that combine more advancement in tech and comfort with the ease of having a wire.

Noise cancelling earbuds can often come at a hefty price, but not only are these Bose earbuds on the lower end of the price spectrum, they perform extremely well. Pros: - With the wired USB-C connection, you no longer have to worry about your earbuds being charged. As long as your phone has power, you are good to go. - The earbuds are plug and play. There's no need to install a Bose app or go through any kind of set-up process. - The ear fit is excellent. The default tips and wings were perfect for my ears but additional sizes are provided if needed. The wings are something I love about Bose products because they help keep earbuds extremely stable where other brands often fall out for me. - The mic works great for phone calls. I made test calls and my wife could hear me perfectly as if I was making a regular call on my phone. - The In-Line controls allow you to quickly adjust volume, play/pause, or toggle 3 different audio settings (Off, Quiet, Aware). The noise-cancelling mode (Quiet) really helps to minimize sound in your environment. - Music and podcast audio quality was excellent during my first several days of use. - The included carrying case is appreciated as it helps to keep the cord from being tangled or damaged when you are on the go. Cons: - No instructions were provided for the In-line controls. They are simple enough to figure out with trial and error, but it shouldn't have been difficult to provide that info in the paperwork. Not everyone is going to know to press and hold the play button to toggle modes. - In-line controls are placed a little too high for my liking. The extra weight near the face can cause a lot of cord jostling if you use these while running/jogging. I wouldn't recommend these for workouts. When you look at cost and quality for these earbuds, I can't imagine a better audio product and highly recommend them. They are especially perfect for travel since you wouldn't have to worry about keeping them charged up.

Over the past week, I’ve been testing the Bose wired noise-canceling earbuds. Overall, they’re an excellent choice for anyone who prefers uncompressed audio over Bluetooth. Lately, I’ve noticed wired earbuds making a comeback. Whether it’s driven by nostalgia, the rock-solid reliability of a wired connection, or the superior sound quality of an analog signal, there’s definitely a growing appreciation for corded gear. Inside the box, you’ll find the earbuds, a carrying case large enough to fit a music player, a few eartip options, and the instruction manual. The earbuds themselves are small, lightweight, and very comfortable for long listening sessions. They connect via USB-C, making them compatible with most modern phones and media players without needing an adapter. The cable is roughly four feet long—plenty of length to comfortably keep my device in my jeans pocket with room to spare. While the tangle-resistant cable is a bit stiffer than I’d prefer, it's a minor tradeoff. The inline remote features three buttons: volume up, volume down, and a multi-function button to play, pause, skip, replay tracks, and cycle between Active Noise Canceling, Aware, and Off modes. When it comes to performance, these earbuds deliver what you'd expect from a wired pair of Bose headphones. The sound is clear, dynamic, and gets acceptably loud, though the low end is one area where they leave room for improvement. While the bass response is acceptable, I wish it had a bit more punch and thump. On the upside, the active noise cancellation is outstanding—unlike many competing ANC buds, there’s no noticeable hiss or uncomfortable ear pressure. Aware mode, on the other hand, doesn't seem to let in much ambient sound, especially at higher volume levels. With that said, I like these headphones and would recommend them to someone who prefers the low-latency and uncompressed audio you can only get with wired buds.

We are not going backwards, but these Bose noise canceling wired ear buds are so good! I have a lot of Bluetooth earbuds, but they need to be charged and I lose track of when I last did that, and sometimes I am out of juice and also out of luck. With these Bose wired ear buds, they need no charging! (Cue the trumpets). Many times I am listening to music/ audio book/ podcast and I’m just sitting in one spot anyway, so why not have wired earbuds? All you need is a device with a USB-C port. The noise cancellation is great. There are three modes; aware, off, quiet. To switch between the modes, just push the round button on the in-line controls. My favorite is quiet, which is noise cancellation. The sound quality is amazing. I like to use a few songs to test audio on ear buds and headphones, which are Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and November Rain by Guns n’ Roses. These are both long songs with piano, a full orchestra backing, the works. I could really hear so much clarity with these ear buds, the sound was amazing. The volume is also easy to adjust with the in-line control, and easy to figure out. When I get a call when I’m using these, there’s no weird connection lag, I can answer the call and not miss anything the caller is saying. There are three ear bud tips included and two sizes of stability wings, which are very easy to switch around and figure out which ones fit you best. It turns out the ones that were pre-installed worked best for me. The cord for these wired ear buds is about 50” long, which is a good length. When I plug these into my phone or computer, the audio is immediate and there's no lag. The cord is thicker than the older ear buds from 10+ years ago. It’s a bit thicker, so the cord doesn’t get as tangled as those. The zipped storage case is nice and just right for containing this lightweight and easy to use option for audio. The noise cancellation on these is so good, I think I would take these on my next flight instead of my over-ear headphones, which take up so much space. These are much better than the old wired ear buds, the noise cancellation is a game changer.

Wired earbuds may seem old school. But these work great! I have multiple devices and am always needing to manually connect to what I need, because my wireless earbuds are already connected to other devices… With these, I just plug into the USB-C port of any of my devices and I am connected with Bose quality audio, immediately. What’s in the box: Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds Soft zippered case Earbud tips (small, medium and large sizes) Stability tips/wings (medium and large sizes) There is no set up needed with these. Just plug them into your device and listen to high-quality audio, take calls, practice language lessons, etc. Extra bonus, no app is needed. Everything is controlled with the in-line controls. Besides volume up/down, there is a multifunction button. Press it once for pause/play or to answer calls. Press twice for next track or to hang up a call. Press three times for previous track and press and hold to switch between quiet, aware and no ANC modes. It’s even handier than it sounds. To get the most out of the ANC try the different ear tips. I found the ones that came on the earbuds work best for me, but that may not be the case for everyone. The little stability tips are interesting. I put them to the test, and they held while I was running and even resisted minor tugging on the wires. There are two different sizes so try those out and see which ones fit your ears best. The ANC works well. It doesn’t block all outside noise, but it does block out the fairly noisy mechanical switches on my gaming keyboard. The sound quality is really good and lives up to the Bose name, too. The downsides are wires. They do sometimes get in the way. Plus, the price just feels a bit high for wired earbuds. In summary, these are very nice, wired ANC earbuds. The sound is great and no app or pairing is needed. Just plug them in and go. They never need charging either.

This wired earbuds once again demonstrates Bose mastery in sound. The package has very limited instructions. It comes with a nice travel bag, 3 earbud cup sizes (1 installed, 2 packaged separately) and a wing replacement. Set up is pretty straight forward, you just plug into any USB-C device , and it communicates directly and you are good to go. At the time of this writing, I did plug the device into my iPhone and I have several versions of the Bose software, none of the software was able to detect the device at this time, so I don't know if there are any additional features in the future, such as a equalizer or firmware update. The instructions are very limited, it's just a few images, and everything else you kind of figure out on your own, which is very simple. The wired controller consists of 3 button, volume up, down, and a middle button. The middle button if you hold it swaps to noise cancelling (known as "Quiet") or transparency. The noise cancelling is very good as expected from Bose. We already know they excel with the low hums of a airplane or rumbling, but writing this review in a coffee shop with. chatter around me was also impressively washed out. For the sound itself, again I didn't have access to an equalizer out of the box, the sound profile is the standard sound you get from Bose. Some people like it, some people don't. I personally like it, it strikes a balance for clear voice/dialogue in youtube videos and movies, and enough rumble to make a movie feel immersive. For the audiophile you will need an equalizer of your own, or wait for Bose to update their software to have it be detected. Overall, clear medium sound stage, medium/highs are clear for voice and sweet instrumentals, and lows were a little dim but enough for an immersive experience. Highly recommended for it's well rounded profile and carrying Bose already excellent noise-cancelling abilities.

Bose headsets are known for their quality and this wired, noise canceling headset is no exception! Everything about this set is top quality. Starting at the quality of the sound win no distortion or crackling at high volume. The sound is crisp with the highs and lows very clear. Important to mention is that these are noise canceling which really works well so being aware of the sourandings is key. I use these in both iOS and android phones and works flawless, it even works perfectly with my gaming laptop which recognizes it as being Bose headset. The volume controls and pause/answer that come incorporated are easy to fine though they a bit larger than I would prefer. The set comes with 3 different size bud padding which I changed to smallest size for better fit. The spare set of "wings" is slightly larger that the one it comes with though both do an excellent job at holding the buds in place specifically with increased phisycal activities. It is a USB-C connection so not for old legacy connections. There is no app for this, set but not really needed since the basic controls are in the set or the phone.

Was anticipating wired headphones as memories of the ones I had before.

I might have received a defective pair, but the volume was too low disappointingly. My volume on my phone had to be a max for me to barely hear anything through the headphones, this doesn't happen with any other headphone, so I had to return them. Outside of that, the cord was longer than Apple wired headphones, they were comfortable in-ear for the limited time that I tried them. I would recommend trying them since I might have received a defective pair and I might try ordering a new pair once they are in stock to give them another chance.

Hi Andi, thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review!
It's great to hear that you enjoyed the cord length and found the ear tips comfortable during your time testing them. While I understand you've since returned the product, the buds are designed to produce loud, crisp, clear, Bose signature sound. Given this, we have some troubleshooting which can help address your audio concerns. Should you try the buds again in the future, check out our tips at https://bose.life/3Wez7OA which will help out.

I travel a lot for work and I can't even begin to express how excited I am about these new wired ANC earbuds from Bose! For reference, my last few sets of earbuds were Bose QC's, then Bose QC Ultra, and currently the Bose QC Ultra 2's. The Ultra 2's are incredible earbuds and I've been enjoying them for the past year or so, but there's a few problems every business traveler faces. The first one is when you forget to charge them, or run out of charge mid-flight. The next one is when you're rushing to get out of the house to catch a flight and forget to throw them in your bag (this one is the worst). I've kept a very inexpensive, non-ANC set of earbuds in my bag as an emergency fallback if I forget my earbuds, but ANC on an airplane is almost a necessity for my sanity. And being wired, instead of BT, helps a lot with privacy concerns. These near wired earbuds solve all of these problems! They come in a nice, compact carrying case and the package includes multiple size ear tips and stabilizer fins that are easy to swap out and find your perfect fit. Fortunately for me, out of the box they have M ear tips and L fins, which fit me perfectly and is in line with the setup I'm used to with my other Bose earbuds. These are lightweight and feel great in the ear. No slipping after extended use and no soreness. Bose is known for their ANC and while I will give a very slight nod to the Ultra 2's for being a bit better, these are perfectly fine in their capabilities. They do a great job of blocking out sound, and the in-line controls center button switches you between ANC, Aware mode and Off. Super easy and honestly I prefer it over having to hold my finger down on the earbud to change modes. And the fact that I don't ever have to charge them means I can keep them in my travel bag and never have to worry about leaving them behind. The USB-C plug is ideal considering almost every smartphone, tablet and laptop uses that connector now. The inline controls are simple and easy to use without looking thanks to the raised buttons. Sound quality is great on both ends and with no BT signal, there's no chance of someone listening in to your conversations. If you value privacy, you need to be on a wired connection. Overall, these earbuds sound great, as usual for Bose, and the ANC is terrific. They fit comfortably and there's no ear fatigue with long duration wear. Walking, moving around, trying to intentionally get them to come loose, it doesn't matter, they don't move. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone and everyone. Especially my fellow business travelers! Thank you Bose for finally addressing this glaring gap in the wired earbud market!

I really like these new wired earbuds from Bose. They feature a USB-C connection, so they work with a wide variety of modern devices from a laptop, smartphone or portable gaming system like the ROG Xbox Ally X. I particularly like them for gaming because the wired connection provides practically zero latency compared to Bluetooth headphones. If I want to switch from one device to another, there’s no time wasted pairing. Unfortunately, I could not get them to work with my Nintendo Switch 2. This is surprising because I’ve used wireless earbuds using a USB-C dongle there with no problems in the past. If you’ve had a pair of Bose wireless earbuds in the past, then you will know if they fit you well or not. They include three different sizes of eartips and two wings. They are sweat resistant (but not waterproof). Sound quality is what you’d expect from Bose. They sound great for music, gaming, movies, and when you receive a phone call you can easily answer it with inline controls. I personally haven’t used wired earbuds in probably a decade and the nostalgia of using the inline controls to change the volume is refreshing. When I get home, I don’t have to worry about recharging them. They include a soft zippered pouch to keep them from becoming a tangled mess in your bag. In another throwback move, there is no app to initiate a setup, to change noise cancelling settings or to make equalizer adjustments. The noise cancelling is controlled via the inline controls by holding the middle button for three seconds to toggle between off, quiet, and aware. Quiet enables noise cancelling and it works very well to drown out low pitched noises like A/C or fans. Note that these are digital earbuds and according to Bose, they will not work with an analog port so a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter would not work, meaning you still need to grab the ones the flight attendants hand out for the traditional airplane entertainment systems with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Pros: - Works with a wide variety of USB-C devices - Outstanding Bose sound quality - Wired provides the lowest latency for gaming - Great Noise Canceling - Inline ANC and Volume Controls - No batteries or charging required - Includes carrying pouch - No app needed Cons: - Not compatible with traditional 3.5mm headphone jacks or adapters. - Did not work on my Switch 2 Overall – if you’re looking to go back to wired headphones but don’t want to give up the excellent sound quality and noise cancellation features of your wireless earbuds these wired buds from Bose are hard to beat.

So stoked to have someone bringing safer products to the market. Less wifi and Bluetooth signals bouncing around thanks to these wires earbuds. The fit was great for me right out of the gate so I didn't need any adjustments with the included silicone tips. Most headphones fit for me out of the box which is nice. The little wing deals fit up nice and tight in my ear comfortably and keeps the buds in my ear no matter what I'm doing. They plug in with a usb-c plug and worked great with my Samsung phone. The sound was top notch, zero complaints, noise cancelling, ambient and off setting for the quiet control noise setting work nice with the wired controls. I wish the controls had a clip or something to be able to anchor it to your clothes, that would help a lot when it's bouncing around or dangling in your way when bent over. Like I said they come with extra tips for different sized ear holes, instructions and a case. I wore these all day with no pain or fatigue to my ear, wore them jogging with zero issues, working out, and just out and about and had no problems. Hopefully the cord holds up to the abuse, that's the only thing I remember failing back in the day with worked headphones. Time will tell.

TLDR - these are my new favorite headphones. I work remote and spend a lot of time in meetings throughout the day. Needless to say wireless headphones struggle to last the entire day if I happen to leave them off the charger (cough). Inevitably, they will die at the least opportune time. Phones, tablets and PCs seem to be moving away from 3.5mm headphone jacks in favor of Bluetooth for your audio needs. Bose has taken advantage of the USB-C connection available on most newer devices. The biggest advantage of this configuration is they can use the power from the USB-C to provide active noise cancelling without needing batteries. Win-Win. I find the Bose earbuds are extremely comfortable. I find myself fighting with other earbuds to keep them in my ears and by the end of the day my ears feel raw. These have a very soft material used on the tips and stability wings. The inline controls allow you to adjust volume up and down as you'd expect. The controls also allow you to switch between Active Noise Cancelling, Aware and Off. ANC cuts out nearly all external sound. It's almost scary how much sound they block out. For those who like to be aware of their surroundings (we all should be) the Aware setting allows external sounds to come through so you don't feel so isolated. This is great for those who walk in busy areas and need to be able to hear what's happening around them. Sound quality is what you'd expect from Bose. Admittedly most of my time using them has been on calls vs listening to music. I find the sound to be very natural.

Review for Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds I’m no Luddite, but I liked my old, wired Bose earbuds that I could plug into my iPod (yes, I’m a senior…). As everything moved to Bluetooth, and phones lost their headphone jacks, it became easier to use wireless earbuds. But I missed the convenience: nothing to pair, they didn’t fall out in the grass when I was cutting it, I couldn’t lose just one of them at the airport. Welcome the new Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds! They’re like their older cousins, but better! Noise canceling has come a long way and these new buds really shine. The noise canceling is excellent and readjusts to the ambient sounds around you. There’s no need to charge them, and they have a standard USB-C connector that works with modern phones and tablets. They come with three different sized ear tips and two different sized little “wings” that keep them solidly, but comfortably in place. I wear them on long walks, or while gardening for hours and they never bother me. They’re also great for making and taking phone calls. The noise canceling really helps in this regard. I get clear, sharp audio and I’ve asked the people I’m talking to how I sound to them and they said the same thing. One even commented that they couldn’t tell I was outside walking with traffic going by. Finally, they come with a convenient, zippered carrying case that’s easy to pack in a duffle, briefcase, or stuff into my pocket.
