probably one of the best noise cancelling headphones ever

I've had my headphones over a month now and they work great. I use them in my office and don't notice people coming and going unless I see movement in my peripheral vision. The headphones do not eliminate all sounds but they greatly reduce noise. Sudden and sharp sounds (child screaming, phone ringing, dogs barking) are muffled but not eliminated. But, I was on the phone with someone in the noisy Atlanta airport and could hear them as if I was in a quiet room. If you've never had noise cancelling headphones, they will take some getting used to. The noise cancelling function can "feel" weird the first few times you use it. The feeling has to do with the counter frequency that the headphones emit to cancel outside noises. Also, the headphones are pretty heavy feeling on my head. Don't get me wrong, I love them but the weight and initial weird feeling are things that I wish I had come across in a review. If those won't bother you, then you will love them too!

Bought these for my wife for x-mas and she really had no requirements, but she also doesn't pay much attention to these things. She just knows she wanted some so that she didn't have to listen to her co-workers eating, talking, drinking all day - kids and myself can be thrown in there. I've bought her a lot more expensive, but these are probably a top-5 gift ever. She was just blown away how well they work and goes on and on about how they're her favorite thing ever...sorry wedding ring.

I purchased these headphones for their noise cancelling when traveling and have not been disappointed.

These are the perfect headphones if you fly much at all. Comfortable and the noise cancelling is incredible. Tunes out all engine noise. Price tag is worth it.

Overall the Bose headphones provide great quality and sound, very crisp and worth every penny.

Sound quality is good and external sound is not very audible (keeps the external sound out).

I own both a pair of Bose QC25 and the Beats Studio, both have advantages. The Bose are cleaner in the mids and highs and Beats are better in the low ends. The Bose seem to have the upper hand in the quality of the sound canceling. I work in a noisy office and the Beats have far more ambinate noise bleed through. The main reason I prefer the Bose is the replaceable AAA battery, my Beats have a builtin rechargeable battery, which sounds like a good thing, but it is such a pain when you pick them up and the battery is dead and suddenly your holding a $400 paper weight.

I had the QC-15. The QC-25 is even better since you don't have to power it on to hear audio output from your devices. I loved it so much, I bought one for me, and another for my wife!

Purchased for a long international flight and these were perfect! Very comfortable, excellent sound quality. Definitely would recommend!

Headphones are a good fit around the ears. When turned on, they do cancel almost all ambient noise to the point that air travel is pleasant (greatly reduced plane engine noise)
