Great Noise cancelling not so great sound

I travel often and it pretty much eliminates all cabin noise even on smaller prop planes. I expecting a more dynamic sound. It's good but not great. Nobody beats the noise cancelling though

The unit is sold in a convenient carrying case with an extra battery and connector. This felt like a high quality product, but after about a little more than a year of use, the left ear stopped working, leaving me with a very expensive deadweight. I had always associated Bose products with high quality products, but they proved me wrong on this one. Reading reviews on several sites, I found out this was a common problem for this product - so buyers beware. The failure happened after the 12 months period, but I will be contacting customer support and test their responsiveness...

Its not bad for the average person playing music or audio books, but if your wanting to hear crisp music, you need to have earphones.
