I put on the headphones and played music using my Iphone. I was still able to hear my daughter's music being played from her computer in the same room. Disappointed.

QC25 vs QC15

Today I purchased the QC 25 headphones to upgrade from my QC 15 headphones. I can tell right away there is more pressure on my ears from the QC 25 than from the QC 15. This is kind of annoying and it is almost an irritant. That being said, I also can tell right away the sound quality has been improved. So this ends up being a trade off. The QC 25 is slightly lighter than its predecessor QC 15 but pushing on the ears as it does kind of negates that as the QC 15 may actually be more comfortable. The carrying case has changed, it is more oblong and less of an oval shape as the QC 15. The QC 25 is more collapsible so it can fit into a smaller case. The mic line for the QC 25 has incorporated Apple controls but it can be "iffy" for android devices. Overall, I am impressed with the headphones because the sound is noticeably crisper. If I could mesh the two together that would be great, sound from one and comfort from the other. If you have the QC 15 now and want better sound and better noise cancellation then upgrade, but if you prefer good comfort I'd stay where you are. I am myself torn on whether or not to return these and just keep my QC 15s, because comfort is important to me. These are by no means uncomfortable, just not as comfortable as the earlier model. If I'd never owned the QC 15 then I would not have anything to compare it to and would be just fine.

I fly a lot and one too many times my earbuds were annoying to the people around me. So I treated myself to a pair of these Bose headphones and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made! I really wanted to get a wireless pair but I didn't like the microphone thingy that sticks out on their other model. I was ready to purchase the Sennheiser headphones but they don't have a demo model in Best Buy. Their loss because I probably would have purchased them if I could have tested them beforehand. So I purchased the Bose.
The wire isn't annoying at all. It doesn't tangle, it's completely detachable for easy storage and it has a microphone built in that's very easy to use. When you have the noise cancelling feature activated and are listening to music, you literally can't hear a thing...barely even the jets! You definitely can't here the flight attendant giving her speech, but the mic has a pause button on it that stops the music and amplifies the outside sound so you don't have to take the headphones off. It's a great feature. You can also talk on the phone with these and the person on the other end can hear you better than any bluetooth speaker.
They are very comfortable and soft...I've worn them for as long as 8 hours. They also come with a beautiful hard cover carrying case that the headphones fold up nicely to fit in.
Only negative: the battery doesn't last too long. So don't forget to turn off the noise cancelling when you land. But there is a spot in the case for an extra battery.
Bottom line: this is an awesome product that I highly recommend if you are a frequent flyer. I couldn't be happier with them!

I used the headphones for the 1st time on my flights to the UK. I had to jiggle the plug that connects to the headphones so that sound could be heard from both the left and right. I did use them but if I would move around, the sound would cut out. I'm returning them next week and will try a replacement set. I won't be able to recommend until I know that a replacement set works properly.

Unfortunately, I am one of more than a few people who evidently cannot use noise-cancelling headphones. I had had high hopes, but immediately upon turning on the noise-cancelling feature I experience an excruciating pain in the center of my head. It was significant enough that I did not try them again. Needless to say, I returned the headphones. I believe that if I replace my earbuds with a simple (and much less expensive) over-the-ear muff style set of headphones that I will be able to avoid hearing much of the gym noise around me without the pain. I do not know if the problem was unique to this brand or this model, but I have no intention of experimenting with any so-called noise-cancelling device ever again. You may be luckier, but be ready to snatch them off your head if you are not.

Beats who?

I was extremely eager to get my hands on a pair of Beats by Dre, knowingly I'd eventually regret not purchasing a trusted and well known brand like Bose. I purchased Beats Studio 2.0 last night and couldn't get over how terrible the sound was. There was this constant static, even when I had the music low. The sound was so drown out and had a horrible echo. To each their own, I don't mean to knock Beats, I just think they have room for improvement. The design seemed pretty faulty with the side hinges after normal wear and tear. So here I sit tonight with the QC25's and I couldn't be more impressed! Now THIS is the sound I was looking for last night. It's so crisp, clear, no static, just the right kick of bass - just an overall amazing sound. The noise cancellation feature is great! I can't hear a single peep around me, you truly get engulfed in whatever you're listening to and it honestly kicks up the sound quality quite a bit! The build is sturdy, and most importantly comfortable around the ears and top of head. These will be very ideal for travel and playing my keyboard when I don't want to wake others. Bravo Bose, this is what music is all about.

First of all, I would like to thank Best Buy store, since every time that I have problems with a some product they helped out without hesitate.
But when it comes to Bose®- QuietComfort® 25, this is experience that I wanna share: I bought these headphone after read I big amount of bad reviews. The main complaining was about a problem
in the left cup, which stops working after some period of time. Then, I saw another review saying that this problems was fixed and it, almost immediately, convinced me that this should be a good time to invest in one of those headphones. But when it arrived, I just had 2 hours of happiness, the left cup stopped :(.

None of the better quality headphones come wired to be able to watch movies on long flights, and planes do not have blue tooth. Sony had a set with wire but it was not as effective at noise cancellation as Bose. I did not see directions for putting in a battery, that might have helped.

I have the Bose Quiet 15 and decided to upgrade to the Quiet 25. Not worth the $300 that they cost and wished I would have taken them back. The Quiet 15's are just as good. Save your money.
