Great Set Of Cans!

I've been a proud owner of the Bose QC-15 headphones for almost 2 years. I was quite happy with them but when I saw the QC-25's available from Bose.com, I immediately sold my QC-15's on Ebay and purchased the QC-25's. After doing so, I became a bit concerned, thinking maybe I should have waited for an in-store demo to test the sound and noise-cancelling before purchasing. Now that I've received the QC-25's in the mail, my concern was in vain. The QC-25's are a great set of headphones and a worthy upgrade from the QC-15's. The noise-cancelling and overall sound quality seem to be a bit better then the QC-15's and they are very comfortable to wear. The bass is rich and deep, the mids are solid, and the highs are crisp. I've listened to hip-hop, gospel, jazz, metal, and R&B, and so far everything has sounded clear and detailed. I have no complaints about the sound other than I wish the headphones were a bit louder. They are plenty loud but I can't help wishing I could pump them up just a bit more. Maybe it's me, but they seem to be a tad bit lower than the QC-15's in volume. With the noise cancelling being so good though, you really won't need to blast them to hear the music clearly. The QC-25's will also play without a battery. Something the QC-15's won't do. The sound is a bit muffled and not as good without the battery but at least they still play. The only negative I have about the headphones is the cable. Not to say it's a bad cable but Bose are Apple fanboys and their cable only works fully with Apple products. If you have an Android phone, the volume buttons, and previous track features won't operate. On Android, the mic, play/pause, and next track are the only features available. In my opinion, there shouldn't be a reason for Bose not to at least produce a cable that gives Android users as much functionality as Apple users. In conclusion, I think anyone that liked the QC-15's will like the QC-25's a bit more.

These headphones took some time getting used to. At first they felt a little bit weird (kind of like that feeling you get when you change elevation and you notice the difference in pressure in your ears). I didn't really like that. But after a while that feeling wore off. These headphones are super comfortable and the noise cancelation technology is great. Keep in mind that it will not completely cancel all noise (just certain frequencies). But they do work really well and I use them whenever I am studying. Most of the time I don't even have them plugged into anything, I just put them on and turn on the noise canceling feature.

I typically use foam earplugs while riding as a passenger in an airplane. On a recent flight, I was traveling with a friend who let me try his Bose QuietComfort headphones. I was absolutely amazed at how much reduction there was in the noise level when I put on his headphones and turned on the noise canceling. That was enough to convince me that I needed to finally break down and purchase a set of noise canceling headphones. The question then was: which ones? A few factors swung the decision to the Bose:
1. Sound quality for music.
2. Compactness / ease of carrying while traveling.
3. Battery life.
4. Ability for headphones to continue working even if battery dies.
The really big deciding factor however is that with the addition of a microphone kit from UFlyMike, the headset can be converted into a noise canceling aviation headset. Double the utility at about half the price (total) of a dedicated noise canceling aviation headset.
Why only four stars then? I think they could be a bit more comfortable, especially on long trips, and if the clamping force were adjustable and/or the pads were a bit thicker, they could provide even better sound isolation.

I was a bit disappointed with this headphone. I wanted Bose because I thought it would have the best sound but it didn't. I will be looking into the Sony extra base headset.

I finally took the plunge for some noise cancelling headphones, and am very impressed with the Bose QC 25.
After testing the Sony, Sennheiser and Bose, I felt the Bose was the overall winner both for comfort and noise cancellation. (I had initially in-store tested the QS 15 and also their in-ear version, but waited to make a purchase of the QC 25, which had just became available, but wasn't in the stores yet.)
As for this newly released model, I think it is best to take advantage of current advancements in DSP technology, as opposed to the QC 15, which was released in 2009.
During my recent trip to Boston from Los Angeles, I wore them during the entire 5 1/2 hour flight. When I first put them on, the jet engine went from a screaming roar, to a quiet whisper, and stayed that way. Very surreal…
No ear fatigue, and no heat around the ears, as some have reported on a competitor's review pages. The nice thing is the cord detaches, and the noise cancellation is still functional, making it easy to walk down the airplane aisles while in noise cancelling mode.
Music sounds great when connected to my iPad Mini. I have not tried them for normal everyday music listening (e.g. hooked up to a stereo system), as the sole purpose and intent of my purchase is for travelling.

When I purchased these headphones I was replacing a Beats By Dre Studio set. The Bose QC25 came no where near the sound quality or noise cancellation functionality of the Beats. I returned the QC25.

Meant to purchase Bluetooth version so it worked out for me that when I got these headphones home and set them up, the cable jack was defective. Brought them back and got the ones I intended to buy.

My husband gave me these head phones for Christmas, WOW, I am so pleased with them. They have such great sound and they are extremely comfortable... I use them for hours with my glasses on and they do NOT hurt my ears at all. I have bought a few (6) different head phones and they either hurt my ears, did not have good sound or both.. These are the last head phones I will ever have to buy. If you are looking for great headphones, look no further, they may be a little pricy, but these are worth it. BTW, the noise cancellation is great also.

I purchased these headphones recently. I was interested in the Qc-15, but saw they were on sale at best buy. Since bose is NEVER on sale I figured they were releasing new products soon and I was correct. I ordered the Qc-25's online and received them quickly with elite plus expedited shipping.
The headphones are light and really do a good job of blocking out surrounding noise. I would highly recommend them for someone trying to study and wants to shut out outside distractions. I bought them primarily for two reasons one was for the noise reduction and sound quality. The other was to double as a headset for my xbox one. I tried the turtle beach headsets and they really weren't to my liking. After a few hours of use they would begin to actually give me a headache And i figured since I was spending 100+ on those I might as well find some headsets that serve a dual purpose. I travel frequently so the headsets will be great for flights as well.
Overall I'm happy with the headset so far.

Had the QC15s and went to the QC25s. They were great at first, but after two months of use, there's no sound coming out of my left ear cup. Definitely not the quality I'm used to from Bose.

HANDS-DOWN BEST HEADPHONES EVER

This is hands-down the best set of headphones I've ever owned. Everything about these headphones is just on point. Sound quality, noise-cancellation, and design of the product all deserve a 5/5! I did try the QC15 at one point, but they hurt my ear pretty quickly after having them on. I can't even tell that I have these on (and I wear them for hours at a time), and it's just great!
Would highly recommend this product!

I was in the market for good headphones and so I was looking at the Beats studios or the beats wireless which are around the same price range I went to best buy and the lady showed me these bose headsets and told me how great they are the sound is good I must say bass could be stronger but if you're looking for good noise canceling headphones look no more these are the best on the market. so it makes these ideal for travel, they are also super comfortable I had them on for ours and almost forgot I had them on I herd that on beats after a few hours your head or ears start to hurt with these I didn't have a problem. overall im really satisfied with this product with it wasn't so expensive but with what you get I wouldn't say its not money well spent I can see myself using these headphones for years to come.

This is an excellent addition to the crowded field of high end stereo phones. The are lightweight and easy to travel with and the provided case makes inclusion in a travel bag or brief case simple. The use and safety instructions are clear, concise and relevant. The noise cancelling function is very, very good (tested it on a very loud commercial lawn mowing operation on a field next to my home--switching the "on" and "off" buttons--and it eliminated a noticeable din and buzz from the mower in the "on" position. I listened to two alums for comparison--a mainstream jazz album and a hip hop album--and got great tonal range, including some rich bass sounds which are often lost with headphones. Finally, there are very comfortable to wear and, while I didn't wear them for three or four hours--the length of many flights I take--I am confident that they will be comfortable for a long duration. An excellent product that I recommend without reservation, esp. at the price.
