The best investment if you work in an open air environment or fly more than 1 time a year! These Bose noise cancelling headphones really do put the rest of the world in "quiet mode". They are the first item I pack for every trip whether the flight is 1 hour or overnight. Definitely recommend them!

My son is a pilot and airline employee, which means we travel frequently. As I was preparing for a recent trip to Hawaii, he asked if I had noise-cancelling headphones for the long flight. I didn't. He has an older version of these headphones, so he let me try them out. We immediately went to Best Buy and tried out all the fancy headphones. Nothing compared to these Bose headphones, so I bought them. I was amazed at the difference they made in my trip! I was able to sleep peacefully on the plane for the first time ever (and I'm old), and I enjoyed watching my own TV and movie selections on my tablet. The sound is absolutely beautiful, and the absence of sound is heavenly!

I have been using the Headphones with my TV while I am on the Treadmill and have found that they do a great job of blocking out noise.

My first Bose noise canceling headphones lasted for years and I replaced the around the ear pads twice and the cable once. This new model has better noise silencing properties and wonderful sounds for music and talk shows. I listen to XM/Sirius satellite radio for hours. Also bought the Bose extension cable for my headphones that keep my new purchased Best Buy Sony TV sound private. At times I have fallen asleep with no discomfort with my Bose headphones. The NFL has the right idea with Bose.

These are the best noise canceling headphones ever!

The sound quality of these headphones is great when using noise cancellation… But definitely subpar without. The battery typically lasts about 30 hours. Having a built-in microphone that is iPhone compatible is great. I use this headset on a daily basis for music listening pleasure is well as participating in conference calls.

They cancel most noise, but sometimes I can still hear noise around me. It might be that it only blocks/cancels certain tones (not sure?). I find that high tones are cancelled out, but sometimes if I'm watching a show on the iPad and my husband says something (in low tone with deep voice) I can sometimes hear him without removing my headphones.
