These are fantastic and I will never fly again without them. Very comfortable and sound is the quality you expect from Bose. These do not eliminate all outside noise so if you think you are going to put them on and be in a soundproof environment I assure you this is not the case. They do eliminate the majority of the noise and you can hear the very quiet portions of music with ease. The demonstration at the Bose store duplicates very well the performance you should expect while flying. The bluetooth connection is very simple to do and wireless allows you to move freely. Battery life is unbelievable. I have used them for approx 15 hours of flying and still have 60% charge remaining. I thought long about buying these because of the expense. I would absolutely buy these again and if you fly often you will not regret the purchase. Work great for quiet time at home or for study time as well.

I'm really picky with sound quality and I got to say these bose are outstanding. Noise cancellation is on point, battery life is ridiculously long, and most importantly the crisp quality sound it delivers truly takes it away! I bought the $400 beats 6 months ago, their good too, but so heavy it gets uncomfortable after awhile, and I hate to say that the left speaker busted or something so I was disappointed with that. In compirasson to these bose, the bose are a lot lighter and comfortable. As a college student I use them a lot to cancel noise around me and I easily leave em on for 5+ hours with no music playing. I couldn't do that with any other headphones. Another surprising thing, even thou they are light and comfortable they do not fall off easily! Don't get wrong I probably couldn't cardio with them but they stay firm with any other gym exercise, I've had jbl and beats like I mentioned before and they didn't stay on as good as these bose head phones. Truly impressed, if your looking for the BEST over head headphones then the bose quietcomfort35 are hands down the best.

I have been a frequent flier for almost 20 years and first experienced Bose noise canceling headphones when the airline handed them out to business class passengers on a transatlantic flight. Since then I have owned almost every QuietComfort release of Bose's over-ear headphones. Bose noise cancelling technology is simply unmatched and can even be found in the cockpit with many pilots using a Bose Aviation headset, they trust the technology to ensure they hear critical communications clearly. Wouldn't you want the same clarity when listening to music or watching a movie on your next flight? The QuietComfort 35 II is an incredible upgrade from my previous headphones. These now provide the ability to use either a wired connection to your device or using Bluetooth to supported devices. The volume controls on the headphones are a nice touch too. I look forward to using these headphones on my flights this week.

These were a long-awaited upgrade from my old QC25. The only other BT, NC pair I could find for a long time was Beats (bleh). I've been using them now for a couple of weeks and these do all the things the 25's did and more. Very impressed. Since I used the 25's for several years, that's mainly what I can compare these to: Bose NC technology is head-and-shoulders above the closest competition and is no exception here. Sound quality seems comparable to the older model; some reviewers have noted improvement, but I haven't really studied them next to each other. They both definitely sound great in every application I have for them. There doesn't seem to be any loss of fidelity due to Bluetooth compression. this may vary a bit depending on the input device, but most modern smartphones should work just fine. Comfort is comparable as well, as the over-ear design seems pretty similar. I wear these for about 8 hours of a 12 hour shift. Bluetooth supports multiple concurrent devices, and does a good job prioritizing. Seem to default to whichever device is actually streaming sound. What impresses me the most is the call-handling feature, which was sorely missed on the 25's. So if using for laptop sound, they will defer to a incoming call from my phone. The mic isn't on a boom, but that doesn't seem to inhibit performance. I can hear callers very well and they report no issues with sound quality. As a telephone headset, these work better than any other I've used. Controls on the earcup are a welcome addition as well, allows volume control, answering/ending calls, pause, and advance/previous track. The last features seems to work a bit better with my smartphone than my PC. To this, I suspect that if the PC application supports keyboard media keys it will also support these. Battery: rechargeable and good for at least 12 hours means no more AAA spares to carry around! Battery level is spoken on start, so put them on, then turn them on. Paired Bluetooth devices are also listed on start. How they collapse for storage is an improvement as well, being about 25% smaller overall. One reviewer mentioned potential issues here, but the hinge construction actually seems more robust than the previous model (these use steel for hinges instead of plastic). That being said, these aren't a toy and I plan to handle with the amount of care indicated by the price tag. As a long-time Bose fan, I'm pleased to experience the product of such precise engineering and class-leading innovation.

These headphones are wonderful! The sound quality is excellent and the wireless feature works well. Bose took great wired headphones and made them even greater by getting rid of the wires. The beauty is that you can still use them wired if you wish to or if you need to because the battery no longer has a charge. They are light weight and feel very comfortable on your head and ears. The sound quality is still great even if you use them wired. Being able to walk around without being plugged in feels wonderful! I sometimes even go to bed and fall asleep with them on while listening to my iPod. They are so comfortable that I can sleep through the entire night with them. And of course, you can't forget the noise canceling feature. Bose is the best in the business and it continues being the best with these headphones. I would say that Bose hit it out of the park with these. Besides being a little pricey, I have no complaints...

I purchased these headphones believing they were the best of the best at that time. I found out later they had a flaw where they never turn off. Bose knew this and never reached out to me to either fix the problem or provide a refund. So now I have a $300+ paperweight. I have other Bose products I love, but I will eventually replace all of my Bose products with Sony because of this poor customer service and breach of trust.

    Best Noise Cancelling Ever!!

This YouTube video is very helpful and explains everything: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbMnLpXG_jU Overall Thoughts: The Bose QC35 are an amazing pair of headphones for those looking for the best noise cancelling feature on the market. I bought these headphones on sale for $299 and it usually retails for $349. It comes in two colors, black, and silver as seen in the video. It has a very sleek design and looks and feels like a premium pair of headphones. Majority of the build quality is made out plastic but when you look at the headphones, they look very sharp and really nice. The headphones are also very flexible and has a real nice range of motion and feels sturdy. These headphones are pretty lightweight and weigh just a tad bit more than the Bose QC25. As far as comfort, these are very comfortable and you can easily wear them for hours. The ear cushion is made out of synthetic leather and is pretty soft and has a real nice plush feel to them. The top headband has a very thick cushion which provides comfort when it sits on your head. Overall these are very comfortable and can easily be worn for hours. When it comes to features, it is advertised that these last around 20 hours and that is pretty accurate. Also, if your battery runs out, you can continue to listen to these headphones by plugging in the wire they provide you. The headphones has a built in mic so you can talk to someone while wearing them. The aux cable they provide you doesn't have a mic so you won't be able to talk on the phone while using the wire. It also has NFC capability so if you have a NFC device you can easily pair them. The noise cancelling feature is outstanding! Bose has the best noise cancelling headphones on the market and these headphones do an amazing job cancelling out all outside noise. This is where Bose really shines because their noise cancelling feature is very impressive. They cancel out noise so well while wearing them in a noise environment so if noise cancelling is your top priority, then these are the best! I would personally suggest trying them on at a store because the headphones suck out all of the air and you feel a bit of pressure and some people get an uncomfortable feeling. The sound is pretty decent. It sounds warm and a tad bit bright. The bass is very very lean and not bass heavy at all. As far as the clarity, details, and vocals, its pretty decent. Honestly, Bose does not shine when it comes to sound and really shine when it comes to the noise cancelling feature. At lower volumes, the headphones sound boring and the bass and treble are not well balanced. At higher volumes, it sounds a little more exciting but the bass is not organized and does not sound clean and tight. The treble increases a tad bit and starts not sounding balanced. Some headphones focus only on bass or less bass more clarity, but just sound pretty decent. The best way to summarize is the sound is nothing to brag about.

= Summary = The Bose QC35 Series II Gaming Headset delivers the goods. It has a simple yet stylish design, it's light and comfortable, the out-of-the-box sound quality is head and shoulders above most competitors, its ANC technology works well and seamlessly, and its gamer-centric additions make gaming more enjoyable. Some aspects of the headphones, unfortunately, are still stuck in the past, such as the micro-USB charging port, use of the older Bluetooth 4.2 protocol, and the inability to use the add-on microphone when making phone calls. If Bose had implemented noise cancellation for the outgoing voice as well, then the QC35 Series Gaming Headset would've become my ultimate headset for both gaming, music listening, and phone calls. With that said, it's still a very solid package that will make most people very happy with its excellent audio fidelity and ease of use. _____ *Pros: -Excellent ANC for both gaming and music listening sessions. -Delivers excellent bass and a wide soundstage. -The hockey puck-shaped PC desktop controller rotates smoothly (volume control) and offers multiple levels of mic monitoring. -Light and comfortable to wear for hours on end. -Folds down neatly into the case. -Long-lasting battery. -Google Assistant worked perfectly. _____ *Neutral: -Charges up via micro-USB and not USB-C. -Uses Bluetooth 4.2 and not the latest 5.0 standard. -The noise-rejecting mic didn't work that well. -It's on the expensive side for older ANC technology. _____ *Cons: -Can't use the attachable microphone with Bluetooth phone calling at the same time (only VOIP). = Design & Comfort = The Bose QuietComfort 35 II Gaming Headset, which has an identical design to the original QC 35 II from 2017, is just as stylish, light, and comfortable as I remember it. Although I've parted ways with the original QC35 II and replaced it with a Sony 1000XM3 as my go-to headset, there were days when I missed the simplicity of the QC35 II and how well-balanced it was. Now that I have a QC 35 II again (the Gaming Headset edition), my respect and adoration of Bose's solid build quality, intuitive button layout, and easy control have resurfaced. At just 8.3 oz, the headset is light, very well-padded, and offer long-term comfort. Even without ANC turned on, the earmuffs offer excellent passive noise cancellation and never caused any ear soreness or achiness. It folds down easily into a compact form-factor that slots into the case with no fuss or frustration. The button layout is intuitive, button presses are tactile and responsive, and just the right amount of padding is found everywhere where your head makes contact with the headset. The QC 35 II was always an ergonomic win and I'm glad Bose didn't mess with the formula. If you spend hours every day listening to music or playing games, the QC 35 II Gaming Headset is your faithful and ideal companion. Speaking of gaming, the removable gaming microphone that only adds 1 ounce to the total weight, is a great accessory I found to be very useful. The flexible stalk can be easily adjusted to your preference and it's nice and thick, promising long-term durability. The boom microphone simply snaps onto the left earmuff and to take it off, you just have to pull back on the tab and yank it straight down. Simple stuff. The same can be said about the hockey puck-shaped module Bose refers to as the PC Desktop Controller. The large rotating knob actuates with nary a sound and moves about like it's completely slathered in high-quality grease with no wobbles or scratchy resistance. The Mic Monitoring button, which is big and slightly recessed in, can be pressed anytime to cycle through three levels of voice volume control (low, medium, and high), emitting beep sounds that correspond to each level (2 beeps for Medium, 3 beeps for High). At just $30 over the original QC 35 II, the QC 35 II Gaming Headset is totally worth the extra coin to get the excellent microphone and desktop controller. = Audio Quality & Noise Cancellation = The ANC technology found inside the QC 35 II Gaming Headset (GH) may be 3-years-old now and ecliped by Bose's own 700 headset, but it's still no slouch and quite a performer. When the ANC level is set to High, pretty much all of the background noises magically disappear and you feel like you're inside a quiet room all by yourself so you can just focus on and enjoy your music or game. You'll no longer get bothered by car traffic sounds, neighbor's barking dogs, gardeners working their power tools, and kids crying. :D Having quality ANC is all good but it wouldn't matter if the audio quality was mediocre. Fortunately, you don't have to worry about that at all since the out-of-the-box tuning from Bose delivers an excellent aural experience that still can't be matched by most competing brands. From bass-heavy to full-range songs, such as Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, the QC 35 II GH performs like a champ. Even the deep and low rumbling bass that is difficult to capture in lesser headsets in such a compact form-factor is executed superbly by the QC 35 II GH. One aspect that did disappoint me was the lack of progress when it comes to noise filtering when making Bluetooth phone calls. Although the headset does an excellent job filtering out background noise and preventing it from reaching me, it doesn't do as good a job when filtering out the noise for the caller on the other end. They were able to hear pretty much all the noises around me as I talked to them, such as the toilet flushing, my wifey and daughter talking to me, and the clicking sound of my lighter as I used it to light my cigarette. Using the removable microphone when doing VOIP calls (because Bluetooth gets shut off when the microphone is attached) made no difference for the other person. Although Bose claims the microphone utilizes "noise-rejecting" technology, my callers certainly didn't feel that way and neither did my gamer friends during heated CS:GO sessions. They could hear all of my sniffles and smacking of my lips as I sat in my chair trying to mow down the terrorists on the other team. XD Hopefully, Bose will release a firmware update in the future that will enhance the potential of the microphone. = Other nitpicks = Since 2020 is a crazy and wild year and it has been 3 YEARS since the release of the original QC 35 II, I feel like nitpicking about a few things. First, I wish Bose had changed the charging port to USB-C instead of keeping it micro-USB. With the exception of most of my bicycle and e-scooter lighting accessories, most of my gadgets are now USB-C-based and it's annoying now to use a micro-USB cable to charge my headphone. Second, I wish Bose had upgraded the Bluetooth protocol to 5.x. The 5.x Bluetooth protocol has been out for years already and it offers tangible benefits such as improved range and faster transmission speeds. To be fair, though, the sound quality from the QC 35 II GH is excellent and I don't know how much performance Bose would've been ale to extract from the headset by upgrading to Bluetooth 5.x. = Conclusion = The Bose QC35 Series II Gaming Headset, despite some head-scratching design choices and underwhelming ability of the noise-cancelling boom microphone, is still an absolute buy and it's something I can comfortably recommend to friends and family. It looks sleek and stylish, its ANC quality is top-notch and still very relevant compared against 2020 standards, it's super comfortable and light, and the audio quality is simply great - there's no need to tinker around with EQ levels or graphs. In finalizing my review, I rate it 4.5 stars.

    Good Noise Canceling Headphones

The Bose QC35 headphones are almost identical to the previous version (QC25). Regardless, they look really nice and slick. They come with a really nice protective case(soft lining), USB charging cable, aux cable, and air plane adapter. Now, for the overall quality of the product. The QC35's do a really good job at blocking outside noise as soon as you turn the power on. I tried this feature with them off, and I have to say that outside noise is still kept to a minimum, but as soon as they are turned on, things get quiet quickly. I have a four year old who likes to run around the house and make lots of noise, I'm not going to say that these headphones block him out completely, but they do a great job at limiting the noise. One thing that I wish would be improved is the bass on these headphones. Even with the music turned up, the bass is not all there. I feel like these headphones need improvement in this area. It is kind of kept to a minimum. I was really expecting a nice crisp bass tone. This is pretty much the only area where these headphones kind of disappointed me. The "Bose Connect" is meant to compliment their headphones, but there is so much to be desired in their app. There needs to be more adjustability in the app for the headphones. I was thinking that I would be able to adjust the sound a bit more on the app, but it's pretty much just for telling you battery life, and product information. There is much more room for improvement in their app to make this a greater compliment for their headphones. I have tried Beats headphones, and have to say that their higher end products produce better bass sound quality then the QC35. I do favor the Bose headphone designs a bit more though. In all, the QC35's are a great buy. There is more room for improvement in the overall sound quality, and in their app. Bose stands for quality, so you really can't go wrong with a set of QC35 headphones. Aside from the bass quality issue, I think that these are a pretty good set of headphones. Plus, they look really nice and slick.

    BEST BOSE© HEADPHONES

BOSE© has done it again! These little beauties are well made and wonderfully tuned that its hard to tell the difference between these and my wired QC 25's. Bass is definitely balanced against other frequencies and is not overpowering. Compared to my Beats Studio©Wireless headphones these definitely sound different but with these headphones you can hear all the rich details the artists intended you to hear. Not hating on beats but honestly they're only good for certain types of music so. But anyways getting back to these headphones they have a good battery life and reach the advertised 20 hours and come with a very nice leather bose case to protect them. If you're on the fence definitely go ahead and get them and if you've and compared look no further.

Not Perfect, But I Really Like Them

The overall experience from the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 is quite a good one. I'm not sure that "audiophiles" would approve of them, nor would they of any headphones sold by a big brand at a consumer retail store. However, I think that average--and even more seasoned ears like mine--will really enjoy these. However, there are a few limitations to these. STYLE, COMFORT, & BUILD This is where these headphones are hard to beat. I got them in silver, which I think is a refreshing change from all-black electronics that we are used to. (And they match my MacBook perfectly!) The backs of the ear cups are aluminum, and the rest of the headphone is constructed with a glass-injected vinyl (not cheap plastic) and the headband is lined with Alcantara, a velvet-like material used on the steering wheels of high-end vehicles. And above all, Bose did NOT lie when they put "Comfort" in the name of these. These honestly have to be the most comfortable headphones that exist. The ear cups put virtually no pressure on the ears and are large enough so that your ear fits totally inside, unlike most headphones that pinch the sides of your ears. Also, for over-ear headphones, they don't get too terribly warm. SOUND Best way to sum it up: Clean, warm, and pleasing. These have a very enjoyable sound, due mostly to a rich and detailed mid-range. The treble is present and expressive, but not harsh at all. The bass is also quite good, but maybe not as expected. The higher, mid-bass (punchy stuff) is perhaps a little less than I'd like for some hip-hop/rap songs. However, the low, sub-bass is excellent! Like having a subwoofer on your head! For example, if you get these, listen to Future's "Mask Off." Trust me, you are in for a low-rumbling treat! This excellent sub-bass is also great for watching movies. Watching "The Force Awakens" with these on was a great experience, with booming explosions and impressive surround sound. However, I will say that, especially for movies and bass to come through as desired, these headphones must be kept pretty loud. On my MacBook or iPhone, I usually keep them no quieter than 3 ticks down from max volume. For best bass, I'd say 1 tick down. For movies, I'd say maxed out completely. This seems ear-breakingly loud, but it really isn't, thanks to how well these headphones handle sound (Bose's Active EQ) and never let things get too harsh or distorted. However, I did notice a tiny bit of bass distortion from very bass-heavy songs at max volume, so I'd recommend one tick down from max for super bassy songs. So...once again, the mid-higher bass offers a lighter, cleaner punch that is maybe less than I'd like in some songs. BUT the sub-bass is outstanding. I will say that these headphones are the most awesome with vocal and acoustic stuff. I just can't get over than creamy smooth mid-range and clarity! Compared to my ATH-M40x, these may have a tad less clarity and quite a bit less treble response, but I think that actually makes these more desirable because of how comfortable the listening experience is ...and the bass on these is way better than the ATH-M40x, but that's a good thing for casual listening, whereas the ATH are mean for monitoring. Also, I find that these have more clarity, have more sub-bass, and are "bigger sounding" than Beats Solo 3 (but not surprising since those are only on-ears). NOISE CANCELLING This feature alone is what many people buy these for. Bose may not have invented noise cancelling, but they sure made it popular and were the first to truly implement it without serious compromise in a headphone. So...Bose also did not lie when they put "Quiet" in the name. Putting these on, it is like going into another world. Although you will hear voices and higher frequency sounds if they are within a couple feet of you, virtually all ambient noises will be GONE. Some people claim the Sony MDR 1000x does noise cancelling better, others maintain that Bose is still best. I don't have the Sony's to compare against, but I sure will say that it would be hard to imagine any headphone beating the noise cancelling in these. However, it is not all rainbows and butterflies with noise cancelling...DISCLAIMER: If you are not used to powerful active NC like these have, putting these on at first will be EXTREMELY UNSETTLING. They create a sort of vacuum seal in your ears and create a sensation as if you were traveling into high altitude. During the first few moments of wearing these, my eyes were watering and my head felt like it would burst! However, I got used to it in about an hour and now can wear these constantly without too much issues, although some days my ears can be briefly bothered by these. I will say this: These headphones (or any active noise cancelling headphone) may NOT be for you if you have frequent ear infections or sinus issues. Just something to keep in mind. Also...one last gripe about the NC...because it uses microphones to cancel out sound, when wind or the breeze from a fan hits these, like in any microphone, it will generate some static. Now, this is only mild and can only be heard at low volumes, and only if the wind hits the side of the headphones directly, but something to keep in mind. BATTERY I'd say great. They cannot compete with the 40 hours of the Beats Solo 3, but, then again, these are larger drivers, lack the Apple W1 chip magic, and also have a noise cancelling engine to be powered. So, considering that, plus the fact that some large bluetooth headphones from reputable brands advertise only 13-15 hours per charge, I'd say the Bose's 20 hours is quite impressive. In real use, using them several hours per day at at loud volume, I probably get about 15-17 hours, which is ample in my opinion. Also, these do charge quite fast when using a full-powered usb source. BLUETOOTH This is no doubt where these headphones disappoint. I'd call the bluetooth in these below average, which is annoying for $350 plus tax. They pair up quite easily, and can connect to 2 devices at the same time. However, This is often a glitchy experience, as playing music from one device and then switching to another can confuse the headphones and make no sound play at all. And God forbid if you get a call when these are paired to your phone and a laptop at the same time! If you don't answer the call on the headphones, the audio for it gets lost into oblivion, music starts playing randomly on both devices, and sound on the headphone randomly gets lost...it's a disaster. (For reference, this happens when connected to my MacBook and iPhone simultaneously). AND ON TO THE BLUETOOTH RANGE... it is also below-average. NOW... if moving in a totally straight line away from the source device, with nothing at all in the way, I'd say it is actually above average...about 50 feet. However, in the real world, there are doors, walls, shelves, stacks of books, plants, people...all things that the bluetooth on these cannot penetrate. In most cases, I cannot move more than 10 feet from the headphones without the sound breaking up. Also, there are at least a couple of skips per hour in audio even when right next to the device, although not in a way that ruins the experience. Also, you can tell where the bluetooth module is inside of the right ear cup (where the aluminum tapers off into plastic) and covering this area with a hand often results in skipping (although a hood over them didn't seem to bother). I will say that I use these with a late 2011 MacBook Pro and iPhone 6 Plus, which do not have the newest bluetooth modules. My MacBook only has bluetooth version 2.1 and I definitely notice that these perform better connected to my iPhone, which has version 4.2. So, if you have newer devices with bluetooth 4 or newer chips, your experience may be quite a bit better than mine, but it still probably won't be as good as some other headphones. (Especially the Solo 3's, where I can literally go outside and walk halfway down the street before I lose a connection!...but again, that uses Apple's unprecedented W1) BOTTOM LINE Overall, I really enjoy using these. The bluetooth needs improvement (can't wait until v5.0!), they cost a lot, and there are some other minor issues, but these are just too hard to hate, especially with the comfort and rich sound!

I had a pair of Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones and saw the QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones displayed on Best Buy's website. The reviews were excellent so I decided to buy to buy a pair. After unboxing the headphones it was very simple to pair them with my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro through bluetooth. NFC pairing is another alternative for pairing. The setup was a breeze with the spoken english prompts. The noise cancellation makes the sound quieter and the music sounds better. A built-in microphone for receiving calls. I downloaded the Bose Connect app which can control the volume and display the artist and title of song. The headphones have a built in lithium-ion battery which has a long life. A USB cable is supplied. There is also a cord included for hook up. The headphones and accessories fit nicely in the case.

I purchased these right before a trip to Hong Kong. I've always heard that Bose NC was the best, but had never experienced it before. I heard Bose had a new Bluetooth set of headphones, I knew that was the direction I wanted to go. When paired to my iPhone 6s and an iPad, I was more than pleased with the sound quality. It wasn't boomy, but bass was still present. There wasn't any distortion. On my 15hr flight, I used the optional cord to preserve battery life and watched a series of movies. I was very pleased that my battery lasted the entire flight, and then some. They were very comfortable and didn't feel heavy on my head. I will say that there was a little noise bleed on my flight, where if I pressed the earpieces closer to my head, it did improve. I do wear eyeglasses, so that may have impacted the seal of the headphones to my head. In normal use, everyday, I don't notice it; however, on a noisy plane I did hear a slight hum (until pressed to my head). All in all, I'm extremely impressed and plan to buy another set for my wife. They really are worth the cost.

I always said that if Bose made the QC25 into a wireless version I would buy them instantly! I was looking to cut the wires and get a pair with Noise Cancelling and listening to the QC25's I was sold on sound quality with Bose. Today was the day I purchased the QC35's almost a week after they released and they are the bomb! They fold into a nice design for easy packing with the included case which is very nice, my only problem with the folding is the ear cups fold away from the body and I think it would be better if they folded inwards so if you were to not use them the ear cups would lie against the body instead of being open to the world. Not a big issue though! They look nice and have a very simple design, which is perfect if you don't need anything flashy like Beats. Controls are easy to reach and provide a tactile response so you know if you pressed a button or not. Battery life. Absolutely insane for wireless headphones, I have been using them on and off but probably 6 hours of use so far and still at 70% life, they are listed as getting 20 hours continuous and with the ability to have auto power off these will last a couple days easily in between charges! The noise cancelling also is just insane, very hard to hear anything outside of the headphones that comes across as a distraction, even when the headphones are powered off they have very good sound proofing but the magic happens when you switch it on! Honestly, if you want headphones that actually sound good that are wireless, noise cancelling, and feel comfortable for hours of listening then these are for you!

I think it's safe to say these are the comfiest headphones I've ever worn in my life. They're super lightweight without feeling cheap or plastic-y and if it wasn't for the noise cancellation I could wear these all day. It is a shame that you can't toggle the noise cancellation on and off but with that said, the noise cancellation is pretty remarkable. My AC is incredibly loud in my room and I had no idea it was on until I took the headphones off. Wireless headphones are the future - it's so nice not to have a cable swinging around me and getting tangled, etc... The awesome thing about these headphones is the ability to pair to two devices at the same time - so far me, it's my MacBook and iPhone - and it works almost too well. Super seamless. The range is pretty decent, it takes about two walls in-between to kill the signal, but one wall is fine. Audio quality is quite stunning. I don't have any issues with the bass as most people seem to have qualms about with these headphones. What I will point out is that audio output isn't quite as crisp as I would like. That I was a little disappointed in. I had tested them out in the Bose store and it was way more crispy and punchy so I'm guessing they had lossless sample songs or something. I don't know, not a true audiophile but I do know I've heard clearer and crisper headphones. Maybe it's because of wireless playback, but that's how it was in-store - regardless, still very good for wireless delivery. Overall: Great wireless quality, extremely comfortable, and amazing noise cancellation. Not quite as clear and crisp as I'd like and not being able to turn off noise cancellation for the price I'm paying, makes this just short of a 5-star review.

    Simply the BEST

Let's start with the bad as it is a short list. -Could stand to have a bit more volume for a level for the uber stupid and hearing degraded -Could stand to have slightly larger buttons to allow ease to find when needed -Music reproduction could be a LITTLE better..... I want to stress it is BARELY less than perfect when compared to others for overall music reproduction. Not even close to a show stopper. That's it. Tiny criticisms. Overall, these are the BEST headphones in the market that I have tried. Studio Beats are absolutely terrible in noise cancellation and in power consumption, and the Sony 1000 series are as close to Bose as you can get, yet lack that little bit of finesse. I absolutely LOVE this earphone set, and know that it's noise cancellation is superior to all. The comfort also cannot be matched. I had the Studio Beats and had issues wearing longer than an hour, not to mention the sound isolation was terrible. These i wore for literally over 15 hours straight and had no issues. Additionally, I used these on a trip from SFO to Kyoto, Japan AND BACK without recharging. Granted a chunk of that was using the cord to attach to plane entertainment system, but utilizing the noise cancelling the entire way. It was a game changer for me. The peace and quiet I have received during these long international flights make them worth every penny. These come HIGHLY recommended by me and others like me who have tested and reviewed several different types. I wanted to believe someone else could do better...... just haven't found a set yet. These are great. You will not be disappointed.

These headphones are undoubtedly the best ones you can get in the market. The sound quality, battery life and the comfort is just outstanding. The only downside though is that it does not perform as good as say a Beats on the bass front but the audio output is really something. The battery life lasts for about 20-24 hours of playback and is really a complete package. The noise cancellation literally isolates you from the outside world when you are listening to music and taking calls is also super easy thanks to the microphone that works flawlessly and the easy side buttons. Has to be the best ones in the market.

The best noise cancelling headphones available

With standard headphones, the difference in sound quality between mid-range and high-end headphones is marginal (and often can be left to preference). That goes out the window with noise cancelling headphones, where many designs fail to block out external noise (and many replace it with an irritating hiss). After trying a few pairs in the store, it was clear that the Bose QC headset's technology was leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. I bought these headphones for work because I was recently moved to a desk underneath a rather loud air handling unit. I was wary of the price, but after using them for a day I was astonished at how effectively the noise was blocked out. The headset is also quite light and comfortable. With moderate use, the battery lasts about a week.

    Practically Perfect

Intro: If you want to experience what it’s like to go deaf and only be able to hear beautifully presented music, the QC35s are for you! With unbeatable noise cancellation, superb comfort, exceptional sound quality, and solid build quality, $350 may seem like a hefty price but it is worth every penny. Design: The QC35 have practically the same design as the QC25, but with wireless controls built-in to the right earcup. The headphones feel tough and premium. The QC35 utilize Bose’s special plastic that is glass-filled nylon, soft Alcantara on the headband, memory foam in the earcup padding, slanted drivers inside for better comfort and soundstage, metal caps on the earcups, and solid clicky buttons. The mechanism for size adjustment is solid, and the QC35s can fit a wide variety of head sizes. The ear cups rotate 90 degrees, but the earcups face outward instead of inward when worn around the neck. The folding mechanism allows the QC35 to fit in the included carrying case (which is equally high quality in its build). Throughout the past two weeks of my testing, I have accidentally dropped the QC35 one or two times from around 4 feet, and they have suffered no damage whatsoever. Solid. UPDATE: I have owned the headphones for over a year now. They've been thrown into a backpack without its case, accidentally tossed on the ground during gym workouts, and I have worn them through the wear and tear of everyday life almost every day, yet with the exception of a few tiny nicks in the paint, they still look practically brand new. Comfort: The QC35 headphones are VERY comfortable. Just the best out there with no competition. Out of all my friends who tried it, the only one who complained about comfort has a relatively small head. I have no problem wearing them for several hours in a row, so long listening sessions and airplane flights are easy. Comfort slightly improved over time, as the headband grew slightly looser through use. Due to the previously mentioned material choices and perfect clamping force, wearing these feels like having pillows hug your head. Bonus: they can also sort of function as earmuffs during colder winter seasons – they're saved my ears from freezing numb, multiple times. Noise Cancellation: There’s really not much to say. The Bose QC35 is simply the best noise cancelling headphone in the world. Previous iterations of Bose's noise cancelling headphones and earbuds convinced me that they had perfected noise cancellation and it couldn't possibly get better, but I was wrong. The QC35 isn’t massively improved, but it is even more perfect than previous Bose noise cancelling headphones. Noise cancellation feels extremely natural because it lacks the feeling of “pressure” on your ears when being used, and there is ZERO hiss or white noise from the noise cancellation. The QC35 cancels sound so naturally and smoothly that it feels more very comfortable pair of soundproof-earmuffs than electronic noise cancelling headphones. Previously, sudden noises (such as a shutting car door) would cause the QC20 earbuds to “pop”, when it fails to cancel the sound. The QC35 handles these situations much better. Bose was already the king of noise cancelling and these just takes that a step higher. Sound Quality: Overall, the sound is warm, full, and relaxing, but fairly neutral in general. (Although they are very neutral, their nature as being noise cancelling headphones doesn't make them a good option for audio monitoring.) Whether listening to music or watching movies, everything just sounds right. Vocals, instruments, bass notes, bass rumbles, high-frequency sparkles all isolate from each other very well. Bass is especially impressive: it’s exciting, but not overpowering whatsoever, and bass extends DEEEEP, to below 15hz with no distortion! Also, for the first time in Bose’s series of noise cancelling headphones, they sound almost equally as good turned off (and through a cable connection), as when they are turned on. Sound quality over Bluetooth is fantastic. Even the soundstage is quite respectable for a pair of closed-back, noise cancelling headphones. Sometimes I wish the sound is a little more energetic, but honestly that's just nitpicking. Features: First off, I would like to make it clear that Bose’s claims that the QC35 has 20 hours of battery life and 33 feet of Bluetooth range are utterly false - BUT in a good way! In my testing, the QC35 lasted me upward of 25 hours on a full charge, and after the battery was drained, they charged up very quickly. Even more shockingly, I found that the QC35 has more than DOUBLE Bose’s estimated Bluetooth range. When connected to my OnePlus One smartphone via Bluetooth, the range is at least 75 feet with no obstacles. With this insane wireless range, I can leave my phone upstairs in my bedroom, walk downstairs to grab a cup of water, and walk back upstairs with almost no stuttering. It’s incredibly liberating, being free from a physical connection. Additionally, I was extremely pleased to find that the QC35's volume and play/pause controls work on Android, iOS, and Mac OS X!! Edit: after testing the QC35 on more Android devices, I found that on some devices the headphone volume controls will adjust the phone's media volume, and on other devices it adjusts its own internal volume. Comparison to the competition: When the Sony MDR-1000x was released, they were touted around the internet as the Bose QC35 killers, but having tested a pair, I can confidently say the QuietComfort 35 is better at making the world go "Quiet", and better at being "Comfortable". The MDR-1000x has a very audible electronic hiss with active noise cancellation enabled, and is not as good at reducing the sound of voices, compared to the QC35. The QC35 is also significantly lighter with a much softer and well-distributed clamping force around the ears. In comparison, the Sony's felt hard on my head. In terms of sound, both are good in their own ways: the QC35 is smoother and more relaxed while the MDR-1000x is more aggressive/energetic, so that's just up to personal preference. Quotes: Here are a few testimonials from my friends who tried them out. Friend A: “Spending $350 on headphones is a LOT for me, but I hate to admit that I’d be very willing to pay for these, because they’re SO GOOD.” Friend B: “(to another friend) Dude you gotta try these, it’s like being put in another universe.” Friend C didn’t say anything. He just closed his eyes and started dancing in his seat. Conclusion: I guarantee you that the Bose QC35 will make you smile, and you will love them, regardless of who you are and what you do. So if you have enough money to spend on high-end headphones, hesitate no longer and make yourself a very lucky person by owning a pair of QC35s.

Very nice headphones. Very close in sound quality to QC 25 wired version which I had (and still have). These have better bass surprisingly. Noise cancelling is excellent. Battery life is good. Extremely comfortable to wear. The best thing though is having a headset of this caliber and comfort that is wireless. You really can't go wrong with these.
