I got 2 of this - one from Best Buy and another from different outlet. Both had same issues - if I listen for 10 sec, at least for 1 sec is lost. This with iOS devices (both iPad and iPhone and both are with the latest version of iOS and both are 1 yr older generation). I ended up returning both.
I bought another one few months back for my daughter and that one works perfectly.
So some batch possibly have faulty BT module or so.

Item as expected, price was good and arrive super quick
Hello, I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with static. That certainly shouldn't be happening. Have you tried unpairing the headphones and established a new connection? I'd also suggest testing with a variety of other devices to see if the problem follows the headphones. You may also wish to check a wired connection to see if the problem happens when not using Bluetooth.

These were a great pair of headphones especially by BOSE who has a reputation of having quality products but for some reason these didn’t make the cut. These were going in and out as I played music, at first I thought I was developing hearing issues Lol but later as I continued to test the product it was clear I brought a defected set. Very disappointing since they was my first BOSE product I ever brought…
Hi there, thanks for your feedback. The QuietComfort headphones don’t advertise that specific feature, but it may be possible depending on your phone’s settings and customization. Some functionality can vary based on the device you're using, so it’s worth checking your phone’s audio or Bluetooth settings to see if adjustments can help.

They are nice but I feel like they are overpriced. But everything is.

Shopping for a new pair of headphones can be tough with all the options available at so many different prices and feature sets. If you are looking for high end, great sounding, noise canceling headphones then the Bose Quietcomfort headphones are a fantastic option! You could step up to the Ultra, but I am so happy with these that I can’t imagine most people need to step up to that.
The sound quality is unrivaled in the mainstream headphone market. It’s deep, rich audio that excels at everything I throw at it from hip hop to classic rock to folk. It’s hard to take them off! The microphone is solid and blocking out unwanted noise and accentuating your voice to your caller. Noise cancellation is exactly what you want, lower end noises from planes and vehicles, while still hearing a hint of a voice in the case that someone is talking to you (while headphones are playing something).
I have very few cons to complain about with these headphones, one being that it’s kind of annoying to have an app for everything, but at least you don’t have to create an account to use the features like EQ customization or Noise Canceling customization. The other con that I’m a little worried about is that the plastic feels a little cheap and I worry about long term durability. Definitely glad they come with a travel case as I don’t imagine they would hold up loose in a bag regularly. All this light plastic does factor into just how light they are though! Even a big headed dude like me (hat size is XL+) was able to wear them for hours with no discomfort. These are easily the new go to!
Pros:
Exceptional sound quality
Lightweight and comfortable (even for big heads like me!)
Amazing battery life
Long standby time
Noise canceling is superb
Customizable through the app
Great microphone
Easy multi-pair
Cons:
Have to download the app to do more than two noise canceling modes
All the plastics feel worrisome in terms of survivability

After a week of use, I believed that these were comparable to the Sony XM 4, which I was comparing to the XM 5.
If you have a price restriction the Beats are less expensive and offer about 80% of Bose's pleasure for a significantly lower price.
