I got 2 of this. Excellent sound, only issue won’t synchronized together on APPLE (party mode). I ended up buying an android tablet so I can play them together. I called BOSE customer service and they couldn’t do anything about it

This is an awesome portable Bluetooth speaker/monitor. I wanted a high-quality, portable speaker, but I was initially uncertain if this smallish speaker could deliver the volume and oomph I was seeking. After reading the many positive customer reviews here and elsewhere, I opted to buy the S1 Pro. This proved to be one of the best A/V-related purchases I've made in the past few years. The speaker is compact and lightweight. Its form factor and reasonable weight allow it to fit in wherever you want to place it, and the large, integrated handle ensures it's easily transportable. You can comfortably move it around your backyard, across the campsite, etc. In terms of battery life, the S1 Pro doesn't disappoint. The specs indicate it can last 11 hours on a full charge, and in my experience the battery life lives up to that promise. For anyone wondering if this speaker can deliver a wallop despite its tidy proportions, fear not. In a month of real-world testing so far, I've only turned the volume up to 3/4 on my streaming audio app while keeping the speaker at 1/2 volume. The noise level remained more than sufficient without any compromise in sound quality, and the neighbors have noticed the high highs and punchy bass but never called the cops. Note: I'm not a musician, so I can't attest to the speaker's usefulness for those more musically inclined. That said, after watching numerous YouTube reviews by vocalists/guitarists, this speaker/monitor seems like a great fit. At some point in the near future, I'd like to add the Bose Sub1 for additional low-end punch.

I'm involved with a variety of community groups such as visual artists, theatrical (mostly outdoor) and the like. One thing they are always searching for is a durable, easy-to-use (and carry- only 15 pounds!) PA/Speaker that won't break the bank. This is isn't the least expensive option out there, but it's a good value. The S1 Pro has three inputs PLUS Bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth is nice for when the formal event is over and you want a non-techie person to be able to play music from their phone. The shape allows for multiple aiming positions, there's a built-in handle sturdy enough to be used for suspending the speaker if desired. While it's a plug-in, a nice option that can be purchased is a lithium-ion rechargeable battery for that remote peformance (or when someone forgets the extension cord). The sound is nice, appropriate for outdoor experiences in particular. I'm a little more picky about my musical reproduction than most, but then again, I would expect to spend a lot more money too. Tone controls are for the physical inputs, and all the channels have indepedent volume control. Price nice package.

The device is perfect for me. For my job, I do lots of presentations to both small and medium sized audiences. On the side, I co-chair a local Technical User Group, coordinate the meeting, setup the venue and provide audio/video needs for the group. Enter the Bose S1 Pro Portable speaker! It’s Awesome! Both corded and battery powered, Bluetooth enabled (so I play warm up music before my presentations right off my phone), and 2 input channels for which I use one for a microphone and the other for computer sounds. Just perfect. How’s it sound? Crisp, clean and full. The 4 speakers in this unit produce beautiful, even sound – even from the microphone. For playing music – it’s not the loudest device – much quieter than you’d expect for its physical size but adequate for small rooms, ceremonies and gatherings. I love that the speaker can be used in multiple positions – mounted on a stand, set on the floor, angled on floor or cabinet. Overall – great warm sound, super easy and convenient to setup and use! I love it!

I was looking to purchase a good Live sound set up primarily to use as at-home karaoke. I started to research and review online before going to a local Guitar Center for in person tests. It was between Harbinger array, EV Ed 12BT, and Bose S1pro. I first bought the Harbinger took it home and tested it. It played good with music very comparable to Bose L1 but not for karaoke. It was missing the full bodiness of the vocal tone, no on board reverb Perhaps because of the distance between the array speakers and the woofer. I returned it the following day and took home the EV 12 BT, it delivered the vocal full bodiness I was looking for but it was poorly designed ergonomically and was 35 lbs., and the unit I took home, the bluetooth cuts off when I walk-away. No on board reverb and simple EQ. So that too I returned the following day. By this time I received an earful from my wife to just get the speaker I wanted from the start. So I picked this up the Bose S1Pro. It's so amazing that this crisp sound and pronounced bass could come from this small unit the size of a toaster. Definitely not going to return this. I love this, it has everything I was looking for to start enjoying karaoke again. Full bodiness vocally, portability, lightweight, superb Bluetooth connectivity, on board reverb and 2pt EQ, three channels input. I use it with a Boss VE8 Acoustic/vocal effects and an EV cobalt microphone. Also will hook up to play acoustic guitar. I'm glad I decided to buy this. Looking forward to plentiful hours of karaoke enjoyment. The staff at the Manchester CT store are superstars especially JP and Ken at pro audio who both assisted me with this purchase.
