ONE thing that no one is telling you

This is a really good speaker, however, there is one things that no is telling you. And Bose has kind of tricked everyone. This is promoted as a truly wireless solution. They even sell wireless adapters for this. However, those little wireless adapters DO NOT BEAM AUDIO TO TWO SPEAKERS!!!
Yeah, the really amazing feature of dual wireless ONLY applies to the 3rd channel and not the 1st two channels where you would put your guitars, keyboards, or mics. I wasted so much time trying to figure it out and even called Bose. Their customer support is useless. I wasted like an hour on the phone just to finally be told that I need to use a stupid cable to connect the two speakers together to get the mic audio out of the 2nd S1 Pro+ speaker.
Sure, I could do that if I wanted inferior "mono" music. Yeah, I tried it. It's not good. Low end is cut out in mono. Essentially all of the stuff they promote for this speaker is fluff because you can't use the features the way a pro would do in a gig setting.
I feel like I've been scammed by Bose and I can not return the speakers as it's past the return period.
I've dedicated 3 stars simply because of the misleading hype of this speaker from Bose and not being transparent. There is NO excuse for the wireless mic not being able to go to two speakers like the music from apps like Apple Music and Spotify.
I would love for someone from Bose to respond. Thanks

I bought this speaker for a bbq for fathers day and at though it was a good idea. The speaker sounds beautiful the sound is amazing BUT the battery life is horrible. In the descriptions it says it lasts 11 hours and when i tried it it only lasted me 4 and i didnt even have the volume all the way up. Whats the whole point of paying almost $1000 for a speaker for it just to last 4 hours cause of how loud you are using it

Just what I need for Karaoke and even more

I’ve been meaning to get an audio product for the living room that is versatile enough to play karaoke and portable enough so I can move it to different rooms, listening to music from any device, even using it for computer gaming and still boast audio quality that is clear and has enough presence to fill the room. This is it.
I was pretty excited knowing that the previous generation of the speaker is the favorite for some karaoke fans/ content makers in the most popular video app. The Bose is actually surprisingly compact for what it can do, considering that this is a stand-alone speaker capable of producing loud volume for the size, comes with built-in simple mixer and all the connectivity options you would need for home karaoke use.
With onboard reverb, bass and treble adjustments, the Bose is meant for karaoke. This Bose speaker is a perfect match for my two-microphone karaoke machine. I got a karaoke machine from years ago that features auto-tune/ pitch correction and vocal change. My old karaoke machine comes with a speaker that sounds honestly pretty bad so the difference between that and the Bose speaker is pretty much night and day. All the mixing is done in the mixer unit of the karaoke machine and the Bose speaker connects to the machine through line in cable. I can also connect a microphone directly to the Bose speaker with appropriate adapter, however, I will be losing out the auto tune and vocal change features that my old karaoke machine provides.
The Bose speaker provides direct microphone connection for up to 2 mics. The Bose has three audio channels and you can use your mobile phone to connect to the speaker through Bluetooth and a line-in audio source to channel 3, say a mixer or instrument, and play the audio from both sources all at the same time. This feature is maybe more useful for musicians who want to play a variety of accompaniments for their music. You can actually output the audio from the speaker to the computer for digital recording and audio processing (livestreaming), which is useful if you're into making music contents on social media.
The Bose gives you presets equalizer that you can adjust from channel 3 settings, which is good to tweak the audio profile to your liking. You can also tweak audio performance from the Bose music app. If this is all sounds too complicated to setup, the Bose website provides a video tutorial on how to setup the speaker. The manual is also clear enough in detailing the functions of the speaker and how to make use of them.
If you don’t have a stand-alone karaoke machine, the simplest setup for karaoke would be a microphone (preferably a singing/ professional grade mic with or without the optional Bose wireless microphone adapter) and a phone/ tablet with popular video apps. Popular music streaming apps also provide karaoke tracks. Just connect the phone/ tablet through Bluetooth then connect the microphone and you’re good to go to start enjoying clear and loud audio you would expect from a Bose product. Since you can manipulate the reverb directly from the speaker, your vocal will sound better, not flat like typical loud speaker.
Here's what I really like about the Bose: the Bose has built-in battery and multiple connectivity options so I can enjoy karaoke virtually anywhere when such noise level is permitted. You can easily move the Bose anywhere from living room to bed room and even outdoors. You can connect your phone to the speaker through Bluetooth and enjoy audio playback.
It’s a great entertainment machine for community gathering/ picnic in the park. For indoor home use, it may get a bit too loud even if you live in a medium size house but it should still be ok and you can always adjust the volume easily. For those who want much more bass presence, you can purchase the optional Bose’s powered sub-woofer.
Since the speaker has Bluetooth and line in connectivity, you can connect the speaker to any device including computer for playing games. Although the speaker has USB-A, it is used for charging and the USB-C is used for live streaming and firmware updates, hence USB playback is not supported. It would be great if Bose would allow USB playback somehow through firmware update, if this is at all possible. As it stands, this product is already 5 stars.

Hi Lulu, I'm sorry to hear you don't find the S1 Pro+ system as user-friendly as you'd expected! Firstly, ensure you're using the correct app, i.e. the "Bose app" rather than e.g. the Bose Connect app. Also make sure your S1 Pro+ system is in discoverable mode; this is done by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button on Channel 3, until the Bluetooth light blinks blue. Our support team will gladly assist you further, if problems persist: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support

The Bose S1 Pro+ is a compact powerhouse that packs a punch in the portable PA system category. With its impressive audio quality, versatility, and rugged design, it is a reliable choice for musicians, DJs, and presenters on the go.
The sound produced by the Bose S1 Pro+ is simply exceptional. It delivers clear, balanced audio with respectable lows and crisp highs. Whether you're performing on stage or hosting an event, this system fills the room with rich, vibrant sound that captivates the audience.
What sets the S1 Pro+ apart is its versatility and the addition of wireless transmitter support. It functions as a standalone PA system, a monitor, and a music player. It offers multiple input options, including two combo XLR/1/4-inch jacks, a 3.5mm auxiliary input, and Bluetooth connectivity just like the previous model but it now adds support for two wireless transmitters. The wireless adapters are able to dock and charge inside the S1 Pro+ and are available for both microphones and instruments. This flexibility allows you to connect various devices effortlessly and tailor your setup to suit different scenarios.
Portability is another strength of the S1 Pro+. It is incredibly lightweight and easy to transport. The built-in handle makes it convenient to carry, while the robust enclosure ensures durability for outdoor gigs and travel. Utilizing the wireless support can save you from carrying around bulky cables as well. Additionally, the rechargeable battery provides up to 11 hours of playtime, making it perfect for performances in locations without power outlets.
The S1 Pro+'s intuitive control panel and simple setup make it user-friendly for both professionals and beginners. The included ToneMatch presets help optimize the sound for different instruments and vocal styles, while the integrated 3-channel mixer allows for easy adjustments on the fly. The auto EQ feature ensures a balanced sound output, regardless of the room's acoustics.
Although the Bose S1 Pro+ delivers exceptional performance, its price may be a drawback for some. Compared to other portable PA systems, it falls on the higher end of the spectrum. However, the audio quality, versatility, and reliability it offers make it a worthwhile investment for those who prioritize top-notch sound reproduction and portability.
The Bose S1 Pro+ is a compact powerhouse that excels in audio quality, versatility, and portability. Whether you're a musician, DJ, or presenter, this portable PA system delivers impressive sound reproduction in a durable and user-friendly package.

Hello Kiesha,
It's great that you love the speaker, and have been enjoying it. The battery can last up to 12 hours on a full charge, but volume level and type of music played can decrease playtime by several hours. Double check that the battery is fully charged, and also try resetting the speaker by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds until the power light turns off, and a message appears on the displays.

Calling All Musicians! Must Have!

There is a lot to like about the new Bose S1 Pro+ Wireless PA system for musicians and hardcore karaoke enthusiasts alike!
Set Up: Extremely easy to set up with the Bose Music app. When connected to your phone you can control channels 1,2, and 3 and adjust volume, reverb, treble, bass, and mute. You can also switch channels 1 & 2 to the corresponding accessory such as mic or instrument. You can connect a Bose compatible wireless transmitter to your instrument or mic as well to wirelessly connect for true wireless capabilities.
Sound: When you get a top of the line product you expect top of the line sound output and that's exactly what you get with this PA system. As a part time musician who primarily gigs solo with an acoustic guitar, mic, and pedal board it has truly elevated my performances purely through customizable sound as I'm able to get out of this PA system. I also on occasion will add trumpet to my set and it's amazing the clarity I get with this PA system. I don't think I'll be able to use any other system since it's also portable and has up to 11 hours of battery life.
Karaoke: Aside from the part time gigs, my family and I love to go Karaoke bars on the weekends. This PA system changes up that whole plan and allows us to stay home and rock out! It's very easy to connect 2 microphones for duos or rock out solo. The Bluetooth connection is also solid but I connect it straight to a laptop as an interface so I can also stream the lyrics on the TV or Projector.
Recording: This PA system allows recording or live streaming to a computer via USB C which I didn't fully try out but I was able to record a quick minute with superb results. And to all my DJ friends out there, you also have the capability to pair this with the Bose Sub1 or Sub2 Bass Module and carry the party through the night.
Overall, the Bose S1+ Pro is intended for use by musicians and karaoke enthusiasts alike and it delivers superb quality sound, various customization, a functioning useful companion app, hours of battery life, and numerous connectivity options to fully utilize your artistic arsenal of gadgets.

Used for a wedding and the mids were absolutely atrocious. Granted.. I did purchase a Best Buy certified refurbished speaker... so maybe mine was damaged and someone missed it? But the processional song was severely lacking vocals from the mids. Thought maybe it was the track... and used it for cocktail hour. The whole way through cocktail I was swearing I'd never use it again because I had highs and (some) low-ends... but no mids. I returned it the next day.

I bought two of these, paired them with Bose app, it was constantly disconnecting. And also when it’s connected there’s huge interference. The music goes in and out. In less than 2 weeks one went bad. Bestbuy actually did change it. But I still have same issue of the new one. So I only use one. The second one is just there. Basically the app to connect the two speakers is what sucks the most.

Great Speaker With A Few Setup Issues
|
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
This Bose PA speaker is just like every other Bluetooth Bose speaker. It sounds incredible but can be a pain to get setup and connected.
That said lets get to the nitty gritty.
This is a pretty impressive speaker in that it has a LOT of sound. I honestly expected it to weigh a lot less than it does considering it's large size and the fact it has an internal battery. The build quality is outstanding. There is a convenient carry handle on the top that aids in moving it around. There are a lot of controls on the side for various features and volume controls. However, you can also control a lot of those features via the downloadable app from Bose. And this is where my complaints come in.
Bose really, really wants you to create an online account with them. Like, really want you to. It took three attempts to first get the app to see speaker then another two tries to get it to connect to the speaker. Granted, this could be because I was using an early beta of the release for this speaker. But it's odd that I could not get any sound from my iPhone to play until after the app did its thing. To me, at least, that is unacceptable for any Bluetooth speaker to require an app to work.s
Now, with that rant out of the way, the sound from this speaker is outstanding. It's the typical sound quality I've. come to expect from Bose. It's portable which means you can take out in the backyard or the beach to use for parties and what not. You can also connect an external mic for karaoke if that's your jam. Or you could connect an instrument to rock out. I've not really had much opportunity to check if the stated battery life of 11 hours is accurate but from what I've seen so far I'd say it's a good be you'll get that kind of battery life out of it.
Overall, if you need a portable PA system for karaoke or jamming with a guitar or you just want some loud, nice sounding tunes then this speaker is for you.
The only reason I took a star off if the janky setup experience and Bose wanting you to set up an account with them.
