Don't let the size fool you it has very good sound quality, filling a large room without a problem. Easy to connect to Bluetooth and has long battery life and is very portable.

Full, powerful sound with just the right amount of bass. No distortion at max volume, and bluetooth setup is simple and straightforward. Great battery life. This is the best all around portable speaker at this price range.

I had thrown around the idea of getting a portable Bluetooth speaker but, while on a recent visit to my local Best Buy, it definitely wasn't my intention on doing so at that moment....until I heard the unbelievable sound coming from the Bose Soundlink III. It has been a few weeks now since my purchase and I use my Soundlink everyday without fail. And for me, this Bose has excellent battery life and is very compact BUT provides room filling sound better than my old home stereo used to produce. Although it is a little pricey, you definitely get what you pay for with this Bose product....I highly recommend it!

Bose is known for high quality sound, and this does not disappoint. The sound is phenomenal. It was easy to set-up and link with Bluetooth to my iPhone. It is light weight, yet hefty enough not to get blown over by wind or knocked off a table if accidentally jostled. I highly recommend this product. It is worth the extra $$$ versus some less expensive brands or types of wireless speakers on the market. Again, if you know Bose from their Wave clock radio or other products, then you know you can trust that this has the same high quality and exacting integrity of manufacturing.

This sound speaker is great! Music sound is amazing. You can play it very loud without blowing it out. Easy to take places. Bluetooth is easy to sync. All around perfect speaker.

We compared this speaker to other portable speakers. there was no comparison -- the Bose blows the other speakers away. It is a little bassy, but that is far better than the tinny sound the others have in comparison. Easy to use. Seemingly good battery life. I would buy it again.

Bought this for my 1 bedroom apartment. The sound is clear and carries well to every room (kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom). Although small in size the base is also clear and noticible completely emitting highs, mids, and lows. It's portabilty works well when going to a beach or BBQ. Yes, Bose is higher price than others however, the quality of product and sound is matchless. Don't settle for less.

I checked a couple of options before jumping on this baby, specially UE Megaboom, and even when this last one could get a little louder, the sound quality on my Soundlink III is great. Battery runs between 8-10 hours I guess depending on the volume, but is great to fill rooms and even open spaces ( I have used it on an open garden and volume and sound quality is really good)

After three blown low budget wireless speakers, my wife and I decided it was time to spend a little more money on a speaker that we could use everyday, take anywhere, sound great, and most importantly one that could withstand a little loud music :) . We like our music loud so we were looking for the biggest speaker with a rechargeable battery, and Bose came through big time. This speaker is sounds like a home stereo without the massive booming bass, it's perfect for every occasion. Got this as a Christmas gift, granted a few days early. Sounds are awesome and the music was clear. Bluetooth connect was easy. Charge lasts a long time without recharging. Not as portable as the smaller version but he size is still small enough to fit in a bag and be your mobile entertainment system. Highly recommended if you can afford the price in your budget.

I was looking to purchase a speaker to give the family some sound out on our patio. We love the ease of use and the sound is incredible. I like the color battery indicator .You always know when you might need to plug it in and it can still be used while charging. I found myself using the speaker everywhere in the house also we have taken it on fishing trips with us . I like it so much that when we travel it comes along for the ride .

As an avid fan of Bose, I decided on the SoundLink III after comparing it to the smaller Bose SoundLink Mini. I chose the SoundLink III for the longer battery life and my assumption that it would be louder & be able to fill a bigger area with music. I am completely satisfied with my purchase, however I do wish it had the ability to be a bit louder. While it is loud enough to be a disturbance in a hotel room, outdoor use in a semi-noisy area isn't ideal. However, for portable speakers I shouldn't expect more. I love the large buttons on top of the speaker and how easy it is to connect via bluetooth. While I do think you could get a speaker that accomplishes the same task for a lesser price, trusting in Bose and knowing the quality/durability of previous products I've purchased has gained my loyalty. If you're deciding between this and the SoundLink Mini... go for this. It is just as easy to transport in my opinion, and I am a firm believer in "go big or go home." The extra cost is worth it when you're making a purchase that will last you for years.

I love this SoundLink. The sound quality is fantastic and the portability is what I was looking for. The bass response is great for the size of the unit, it won't shake any pictures off the walls, but it is surprising considering the size. The rest of the range is crisp, clear and without distortion.

This is a great speaker for a music enthusiast. The Bose speaker offers rich sounding bass and crisp high notes. It doesn't crack when the volum is at it's highest and it doesn't lose bass. This speaker should provide enough sound for a 400+ square foot room. Anything smaller will be a party and anything bigger may not be enough. Also, this will go great with a laptop or computer as your main speaker source. If you plan on taking it with you on the go, buy a carrying case so the aluminum encasing is protected. In other words, this is a great speaker for the home and a great speaker in the go. (Battery life is good)

Love the Soundlink III. Great bass and treble. A little heavier than I would like for a portable but given the sound Quality over some of the other Bose portable speakers, it is worth the extra ounces. Bluetooth linking is a snap. Controlling the volume through the device with which you Connect to the speaker, makes adjusting the sound from across the room very easy.

This is a great speaker for the range of sound. Bass is almost too much, but you can find ways to set it up to balance this. I'm using it as a monitor speaker to go through music with an associate, so it works very well for that. It seems capable of being pretty loud, however I'm not sure it would be great for a party other than background. Great for what it is!

I am not an audiophile. More and more I find myself using my Ipad2 and Blackberry Curve for music in the house, in the barn, on the porch and even in the car. The speakers on these dvices are poor to say the least and I'm tired of having to plug the things into the 3.5mm jack of whatever stereo I have handy, although that process works great and lets me get even more money's worth out of my 25, 15 and 5 year old home/car stereos. Remember 20 years ago when you first heard that expensive white or black Bose FM radio/CD player on the counter of your well-off Aunt/Uncle/Friend? Remember wondering how all that rich sound and deep bass could come our of such a small radio? I do. The Bose Soundlink III sounds just like that. And being able to stream 12+ hours worth or rechargeable, totally portable music from any Bluetooh device with that quality sound and decent volume is worth $350 to me. Big bucks, but less than my new ski boots I only use ten-fifteen times a year. THANKS BOSE !!!

This speaker has enhanced my workplace as much as it has enhanced the audio quality. I keep it in my backpack and play it via Bluetooth all the time, whether I'm hanging out with friends, driving around, or relaxing at home. Bose continues to be the best in the business when it comes to speakers, providing incredible sound and reliable battery life.

Purchased the Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker III for use with my iPad and iPod music. The speaker has great sound and lots of volume. It is easy to pair with your device and the battery lasts for hours. The battery is rated for up to 14 hours but I haven't used it for that length of time and charge it after I've used it a few times. Great item.
