Originally bought a pair of Scull Candy from another retailer at Christmas but one of the ears lost sound. Returned them and found these. So far so good! They've held up well but I still believe the "you get what you pay for" motto. We have 2 Bose sound systems in the house so we are a little brand loyal. We did purchase the extended warranty just to be safe. Well worth it in my opinion
