If you want to lock in to what you’re listening to while being aware of your surroundings, these are for you. Obviously you can get better headphones for the price, but these are designed specifically for the open ear concept.

I'll go. I have 15 days with them and I like them too much but the defect is in the calls that people don't listen to you and although it's a free hearing aid in the environment it can help to cancel the voice for the calls , always struggling with the same , so it would be good to have a new update for a voice cancellation I get annoyed to struggle all the time with the calls and unfortunately I have to disconnect from them and they can listen me...
Hi Jonas, I'm glad you like the general sound performance of your Ultra Open Earbuds! If people aren't hearing you well on calls, be sure to download the latest firmware update via the Bose app. Firmware version 4.0.22 (or later) is designed to improve the customer's experience on calls. As long as the environment you're in isn't overly loud, your earbuds will help you make clear, understandable calls. I hope this is useful; if you need further assistance, our support team will be happy to help. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support

They are extremely comfortable however the sound volume is not very high. I would recommend to anyone in an office or a quiet setting.

Outside the price tag I do love the headphones. I like having them in my ear when I go for jogging and doing jump roping. I do noticed when I have them in my ear listening to something that would disconnect from my phone even when my phone is right by me. So I would have to put the headphones back in the case and try reconnect them.

Waste of money! Do not buy! I’ve had these headphones for almost 2 months and they consistently disconnect, there is a static noise every now and again, and they have the worst call quality.
Do your research, these are horrible open ear headphones.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The device arrived punctually, and the initial experience of opening and setting it up was satisfactory. However, after approximately 30 days of usage, the device began experiencing connectivity issues with Bluetooth, resulting in frequent disconnections. This has proven to be a significant inconvenience and represents a substantial oversight in the product's design and functionality.
I'm glad you liked your Ultra Open Earbuds to begin with, Henry! If you're experiencing Bluetooth disconnections, try rebooting your mobile device. Also try a second device with your earbuds, to compare performance. If the connection issues persist, please contact our support team who will be happy to help: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. I like these headphones, even though they don't have anc. I like the fit, it fits nicely on my ear, light weight and can wear them for few hours. Mostly use them during workout, and they don't fall off at all. Sound quality is decent, given that they always on ear canal, sometime it requires adjustment. Call quality is not bad either. I use them often for calls, and I haven't heard much complaints from the other side when I speak or disturbance. So I say mic is good. But during call sometimes I have adjust them to be able to listen properly. Battery is good too easily last over 2-3 hours. Charging case is also decent. After extensive use, make sure to wipe off sweat from connectors before placing them in the charger. Overall happy with the purchase, use them during workouts and occasionally for calls. Wish they had wireless charging but considering that I still charge my wireless charging capable phone using wire, it's not a deal breaker for me.

I love these Bose Ultra buds and was really surprised how they made the open ear concept work really well. My experience with them are pairing them with my Android devices and will be solely based on that.
I cannot stress enough that these Bose are OPEN EAR earbuds and not ones you shove into your ears. I notice a lot of laughable responses to why ANC isn't offered and sound quality is not the same and their "other" pair.
That is not a fair and is doing an Apples to Oranges comparison.
Coming from someone who daily drives Buds Pro2 and WF1000XM5 and changing to these took me a little bit to get used to.
First, I was a little reluctant about the way they "clip" onto your ear lobe and thought there is no way it'll hold up. I was dead wrong. After putting them on they are super lightweight and feel amazing. No stress on the ears from the weight hanging on your ear and absolutely no discomfort after a 5 hour work session. They feel like they are not even there. Perfect 10/10 for comfort. With that being said though, I feared even slightly moving might get them to fall off but the way they clip holds them securely. I could walk, head bang and even turn my head fast and they stayed right in place.
Off topic funny fact, my co-workers when seeing me with them on for the first time thought I either had weird piercings or some new design hearing aid.
Battery lasted my work shift and charged quickly in the case. One thing to note is that the case is only charged via USB-C and not wireless charging compatible.
Sound is a solid 8/10. As they do not go into the ear canal, they are close enough to literally blast music into them. Using the Bose App, you can control the EQ to your specific liking. I found Mids and Treble to be great and Bass, although lacking, not bad at all. This is to be expected as sounds will leak to the environment.
In a quiet environment, this instance my house, I had to turn the sound down to ~25% or the people around me can hear exactly what I am listening to. At 60-75% (which is what I preferred), my friend could hear what I was listening to up to ~10ft away with no problems.
I also went to an outdoor mall and with the sounds around me, @ 75%, no issues hearing not only my music, but also my surroundings. In a store, I had to turn it down to about 40% to prevent other shoppers from listening in.
Calls were okay at best. When receiving a phone call, the other line sounded very muffled to me no matter what settings I tried. It wasn't the best as well vice versa. Though my friends said they could understand me fine, it sounded like I was in a "bubble" to them.
These have an IPX4 rating so if it starts to rain cover them up.
App is not feature rich, but it is helpful. EQ is the best thing there to tailor to your needs. There is also Immersion, but to me it sounded more like 3D audio. It's nice, but I had no use for it. Also if you have it on, it'll drain your battery faster.
Hi Linda, I'm sorry to hear of your Ultra Open Earbuds' mic issues! If you're sounding muffled to others, make sure your earbuds are running the latest firmware version, and that nothing is blocking your earbuds' mic holes. If issues persist, our support team will be happy to assist further as well. Regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support
