Mid at best

TL;DR too expensive for something that is barely mid-quality.
This is my first pair of open earbuds and they’re not bad. I was using AirPod Pro 2 earbuds with my iPhone 15 Pro Max, but they kept falling out of my ear—even with all the options for tips and 3rd party tips. These seemed like the perfect thing: attach directly to the ear so they don’t fall out, open-concept so I can still hear my surroundings, and they’re multi-device capable. Sadly, that’s about where the benefits end.
Pros:
-They never fall out
-The battery life is about 6-8 hours per charge
-Open-ear design is neat
-Sound quality is still decent
Cons:
-The design can hurt the ears after extended use
-They absolutely suck for phone calls (when they actually do connect to the call, people can barely hear me)
-Multi-device pairing mostly works, but randomly decides not to work more often than not.
-The case doesn’t support wireless charging (as advertised) unless you buy a separate case cover.
It is mostly just frustrating to pay this much money for headphones that don’t deliver. I’ve mostly gone back to using my old AirPods and just dealt with them falling out because call quality is better, multi-device connection is more reliable, and I don’t have to worry about them randomly disconnecting from my primary device.
Thanks for sharing your honest experience, it’s really helpful for others considering open earbuds for the first time. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the secure fit, battery life, and open-ear design. Those are definitely standout features for people who want situational awareness and comfort. That said, your feedback on call quality, multi-device pairing reliability, and the lack of wireless charging without an extra accessory is important.
The microphone issues you're encountering can often be resolved with proper placement and adjustment of the earbuds. Since the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds use an open-ear design, positioning is key to ensuring optimal mic performance during calls. Here's a troubleshooting guide that might help: http://bose.life/4mO3Idl
For the connectivity issues, clearing the product memory of previously paired Bluetooth devices can often resolve the problem. This helps reset the connection and allows for a fresh pairing experience. Here’s a detailed guide on how to do this: http://bose.life/46ErYdd
Regarding the wireless charging feature, it’s important to note that the charging case is not included by default. Instead, the wireless charging case cover is offered as an optional accessory for customers who prefer that convenience. You can find this information listed under the “What’s in the Box” section.
We hope this clears things up!

I love the earbuds. They are like an accessory to my outfit of the day! Great sound, comfortable fit and stylish.

these are better than the AirPods because they don't fall out of your ears to have a tantrum on the floor or fall into the sink while you're doing dirty dishes. The sound qualities still allows you to be aware of things going on around you for safety reasons.
Decent 2nd attempt at open ear. Improvement needed

The headset is very comfortable, lightweight, and easy to use while sounding great when listening to music. I tend to use them mainly for calls which is where it fell short big time. They let in way too much background noise to a point that had people asking me if I had a different set to use or they would get irritated by the noise they were hearing. This really made the price too high. Would love for Apple and Beats to try their hand at open ear.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Bose open ear headset. We're glad to hear that you find them comfortable and lightweight, and that you enjoy the sound quality for music. However, we're sorry to learn that the headset didn't meet your expectations for calls due to excessive background noise. Your feedback regarding this aspect is important to us, and we'll certainly take it into consideration as we strive to improve our products. We recommend visiting this article as it has steps to improve the microphone's clarity: https://bose.life/4a6Qm6c. Great for outdoor activities like walking. Quality sound and still able to hear your surroundings. Nice for regular use also.I have smaller ears and it's hard to find earbuds that are comfortable. Bose didn't disappoint. Easy setup and connection.

These new Bose open ear buds are pretty awesome. The only issue I've had is the first pair I bought had some static issues randomly. I meant to take them back for an exchange right away but thought maybe I'd wait for a firmware update. Once there was an available update, I installed it and it seemed to fix the issue. However, shortly after the update the right bud stopped charging and connecting. I exchanged for a new pair and have had zero issues thus far. The sound quality is absolutely incredible for being open-ear buds. They connect immediately and and are easy to pair. They charge to full fairly fast and seem to last for a few hours on a full charge. They take some time getting used to. At first they feel a little awkward to put them on but you get used to it pretty fast. I find that sometimes I forget they are even on. With that said, sometimes, after several hours of wearing them, they can feel like they are pinching your ears but a slight adjustment fixes it quickly. Overall I'm quite happy with them. On a side note, my wife bought a pair of the white/silver model and has had zero issues with hers. She uses hers with her Mac and iPhone and I use mine with an Android phone and an LG TV.

These headphones are perfect for anyone that has troubles with in ear headphones. I can wear them all day without any pain which I have never experienced before. The sound is great. I haven't made a call with them yet so I am not sure about the microphone. Sleek and undetected.
Great Sound, Unique Design, but Charging Port Need

I’ve been using the Bose Ultra Open-ear True Wireless Earbuds for a while now, and I absolutely love their innovative design and sound quality. The open-ear concept is fantastic—it lets me enjoy music while staying aware of my surroundings, which is perfect for outdoor activities or commuting. The sound is clear, balanced, and immersive, making every listening experience enjoyable.
However, I’ve encountered an issue with the charging case. One of the charging pins got stuck, and now I can’t charge the earbuds properly. This has been frustrating, especially considering the premium price of the product. While the earbuds themselves are excellent, I hope Bose addresses this design flaw in future models.
Overall, I’d recommend these earbuds for their unique features and sound quality, but be aware of potential issues with the charging case.

I had the 1st Gen, and I’ve also tried other brands’ open ear headphones, including the bone conduction. And I’ll gladly say, the 2nd Gen has an improved battery life as well as the same astonishing sound you’d expect from a Bose Product. You still have access to the app to adjust and configure your “preferred sound”. Voice Assistance is hard to initiate, but does work. And these guys do NOT budge a bit no matter the activity. I highly recommend them to any glasses wearers looking for something new, or anyone with sensitive ear canals. The 2nd Gens interesting colors also make for nice conversation pieces and cute accessories. — Only CON is the case does not wireless charge, which is okay, but for someone quick on the go and saves time by just having everything be pocket ready, having to unplug the case kinda kills the vibe. Especially at the price you’re paying, and then the “wireless charging case” you pay for separately, is absolute trash. The case’s case gets hot if left on the charger too long, the silicone texture is obnoxious and very bleh feeling, and worst of all, the “lid/cap” is exteremly loose fitting and has no inner layer or even mild adhesive to keep it attatched to the case. It is constantly loose and flopping about.

They are very lightweight and comfortable. Sound is amazing, as all bose sound should be. However, when you make a call, the person you call can barely hear you. I've adjusted every type of setting to try to make it clearer on the other end. Nothing works. Also, they pick up all of the outside noise from the person calling with these as well. I purchased two sets, one for me and for my husband. When wearing them and calling each other, we could barely hear each other, but I could hear everything around him. Sadly will be returning and trying something different. They are great, if all you use them for is listening to music. Not worth $300 to only listen to music.
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on our Bose earbuds. We're pleased to hear that you found them lightweight, comfortable, and enjoyed the amazing sound quality, which is what we aim for with all our products. However, we apologize for the issues you experienced during phone calls, including difficulty being heard and picking up outside noise. We understand the importance of clear communication during calls and will take your feedback into consideration for future product improvements. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team.

Love them! Barely feel them on, in fact, I forget half the time that I'm even wearing them. Sound/bass is amazing for the fact that its not "inside" your ear and that I don't have to take them out to hear what's going on around me or the person I'm talking to. very gentle on my ear and stays on while running or exercising. very happy.

These sound great and are comfortable to wear all day. Also I can just pause to talk to someone and not have to take them out which is a huge plus! Also for an added bonus, after a software update they are able to do Multipoint connection!

Ever since i purchased these bose ultra open air earbuds they have been everything i was looking for in a pair of daily driver earbuds and more, i want looking for anything noise canceling because I have kids and also my job for working in a steel mill i need to be very aware of my surroundings, but at the same time i need to stay connected to my phone because my company uses Microsoft teams to chat and message with so these make everything convenient for me because i Wear a hardhat and safety glasses and these do not get in the way of either piece of equipment i Wear and are very very comfortable for all day and night use, the volume on these are loud enough and the call quality is good enough, we'll done Bose.

I got these about 2 weeks back, and I went back to the store to return them 3 times because they were hurting my ears. Every time I went back, I would try different brands and just end up keeping them. Some won’t stay on your ears, others won’t sound as good. So I ended up keeping them and I am so glad that I did! I think they were just new, so they had to loosen up a little, because after using them for a while I can’t even feel them on my ears anymore. I am extremely happy and so glad that I kept them! Wonderful sound, great quality, and will never come off my ears when I run!!!
