Does the job with one caveat

The monopod is sturdy enough, does the job for steadying the camera for shots using telephoto lens. The one caveat is that you must use the mounting bracket that comes with the monopod. The bracket slot on the monopod is ever so slightly smaller than the slot on my standard tripod, so the ever so slightly larger mounting bracket that came with my camera and with my tripod can't be used with the monopod.
Don't assume the mounting bracket is a standard size across brands and products -- it isn't.

We use it to take pictures at sports games for our grandkids. Works great while sitting in bleachers. Looking forward to using at soccer games. Helps to stabilize the camera. Easy to attach too. Would totally recommend this. Light weight and love the bag that is included.

recently have found problems with some photos and focus because of my unsteady hand. I researched mono-pods and this model has the extended height for my needs and should be a great addition to my camera kit. I lost several once in a lifetime shots because of my occasional unsteady hand and this should help tremendously. Also Best Buy and I know I can trust their products

A solid monopod, that opens easily. The leg locks well. Not sure if I need the tilt action as I can just point the monopod plus camera in all directions easily.

This product is probably fine for home users who won't mind that the head unit wears fairly quickly. I used it for a rigorous picture survey (2,500 photos) and it didn't take the bush too well.

I received a Canon D30 for Christmas. My problem was keeping a pic framed while using the camera zoom. The anti-blur was just not enough. Hence the purchase of the mono-pod. I am just a novice to photography with a lot to learn about my camera and looking to develop my skills (just a hobby, no inspiration to go pro). At 6'1", this stick easily reaches my height; no more having to bend over or squat to get the picture.

I have been a little shaky while holding my camera lately and this helped. I have recorded over an hour of video without being all shaky anymore. And with this being a monopod it was easy to move and maneuver without having to close and reopen the tripod!

The monopod works well. It is light and easy to use. The quick connect device remains on your camera for fast set up. The monopod works well when your target image is moving.
