    I've only used it once but it was recording something in Church. The sound quality was good but be careful and not leave the mike in the on position. There is NO indicator light and I left it on by accident and had to buy another battery.

    My principal reason for getting this was to avoid mechanical noise from a zoom lens on my camera. The battery-powered Bower has a switchable directional pattern which I found to be very useful when shooting a stage performance in the middle of a large outdoor crowd. Be careful when carrying while attached to a camera-- the foam windscreen could be accidentally pulled off.

    This microphone works great. Have only used it for YouTube video making in a closed room but it was a huge improvement over the camera built-in microphone. Good deal for the price.

    This is a decent microphone for the price. It performs well and is certainly a leap above a built in DSLR mic. The only problem I have with it is the battery. It is extremely easy to leave the unit on and if you do it will cost you a $5 battery every, single, time. Very much a pain when you go to use it the next time and are without a mic.

    I have been using the condenser mic to record audio while I film on my iPhone. I had to get a special adapter for it to work, but together they work fine. The microphone doesn't have as much reach as a longer microphone with a wider range. It works for in studio recording or small spaces

    This is a great little microphone. I had purchased it for use with my youtube videos in order to get a clearer sound and it works exactly as expected. Great for the price if you aren't doing anything detailed for fancy. Good starter microphone.

    Bought this mic as an entry level video mic. Performs the job well. Only issue I have encountered is the mic coming loose from the hot shoe while doing motion shots, I just couldn't get it tight enough. But for the price it is not a deal breaker for me.

    This microphone is small yet has really good sound. It is definitely a good quality for the money. I used it indoors so did not have to deal with much wind so I can't comment on that.
