Looks like the item had been sold before. Inside packaging was ripped and there were no warranty card, instruction manuel, not even a tag or advertisement for the company.
When trying the unit with AA batteries, the unit was slow to respond with definite lag time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I've been using this battery pack for over 1 yr. works great for the price. Needs to be charged about once a month, but give me 3-400 extra shots.

It made me pretty mad to see only one review on this product, and it was negative. This product is great. I have had it for a year and it kicks butt. I'm photo journalism student and use this thing everyday.
