Amazing sub for a simple system

This was the subwoofer I was saving up to purchase to complete my system. I came home after work one day to find it already hooked up and playing. Turns out my girlfriend bought it and ordered it for me a week before! I spent the next several hours listening to different material on it and everything sounded amazing, from movies, tv shows, and especially music. The deep low frequencies can really shake the house and the more subtle low frequencies hit just enough to hear and feel them too. For the money, one of the best subwoofers out there!

I bought this sub and return in 3 days. It sounds good and strong power but its body and weight are not strong enough to hold the power when I turn on higher volume. B&W makes very good speakers but not so good subs compared to Martin Logan. For this price range, we can find the better one. Good for turning normal or lower volume.

I've had this sub for about a month now and love it. I have it paired with Klipsch floor speakers, Bose center and surrounds, and running off of a Yamaha HTR-5860 receiver in a 12x20 room with hardwood floors. The B&W is not as powerful as some of the other brands in the Magnolia area, but it is more than enough for my room. I'm running it at about 45% power, and I prefer more bass than a lot of people. The sound quality, even with hardwood floors, is crystal clear. If you do go with this (or probably ANY) powered sub, make sure you use the RCA jacks. When I first got it, I forgot to pick up an extra RCA cable, and had to use the R/L speaker lines instead. There was a constant hum, and the lowest levels didn't seem to be picked up by the sub. It would also turn on and hum loudly for a few seconds each time I turned on the receiver while it powered up. The RCA line fixed all of that.

If you wanna hear bass quality this sub is for you, perfect for a bedroom or a small-medium living room. Its a sealed box subwoofer which means you get less distortion and tight bass.

This sub sounds great! I compared it to others in the same price range and it just sounded smoother to me. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for! I've had it for a month and I have no complaints.

This sub is great. It fits perfectly with my B&W CM9's and CM Center and CM1 rears. It rocks my house and sounds great with movies and music. Very glad that I picked this one. The one step down from this may have been enough but who doesn't want to feel their movies and music.

Subwoofer really adds to the sound dynamic of HD presentations yet is small enough to be unobtrusive

Added this to my CM9's as I have a 40x28 room that the CM9's did a nice job of filling, but it needed a tad more push. This sub is what you'd expect from a B&W product, and I highly recommend it.
