Upon connecting the speaker, I was instantly captivated by the audio quality it produced. The 4" driver delivers an astonishing level of clarity, precision, and depth across the entire frequency range. Whether I was enjoying my favorite music tracks, immersing myself in a thrilling movie, or engaging in intense gaming sessions, the speaker's performance was nothing short of exceptional.
The 100W power output ensures ample volume levels without sacrificing the richness of the sound. Even at higher volumes, the audio remained distortion-free, allowing me to fully enjoy every nuance and detail in my favorite content. The satellite speaker truly brings life to the audio, making it feel as if I'm right in the middle of the action.
What sets the Bowers & Wilkins Satellite Speaker apart from the competition is its remarkable imaging and soundstage capabilities. In conclusion, the Bowers & Wilkins 4" 100W Satellite Speaker in Matte Black is an exceptional audio product that delivers on all fronts. I purchased these to fill my living room space. We have a movie room, so I didn't want a full blown surround sound system with towering speakers and such. These b&with seamed to fit the bill. All I can say is WOW! Not quite the fullness as my 685s and 686s, but they sound great. I also have a 10" sub which helps make up for the size deficiency of these speakers.

Bowers & Wilkins M1MB / Open Box - Satisfactory

These small speakers more than exceed their size and sound great. I'm using for front surround for my Sony TV and stereo with a Yamaha receiver.
** My only complaint is I purchased two as open box/ satisfactory condition. So I was prepared for minor nicks or marks on them. One of the two came in original box and was actually near perfect condition. The other was in unmarked carton. This 2nd speaker has been used to the point that the swivel function left-right or up-down is warn out. So this one only only points down.
** So I would recommend for purchase. Just beware of open box product.

These Bowers & Wilkins M1 speakers are replacement for my JBL 25 years old surround speakers. They sound absolutely amazing no matter what you throw at them, I listen to a lot of reggae. They are configured as large in my speaker setup in my Denon AVR-S760H receiver. I use them for center, 2 surrounds & 2 rear surrounds. For the front I’m using 2 Polk Audio and a 12’ Klipsch subwoofer. I’m absolutely loving them and I would definitely recommend them. You definitely can’t go wrong with them

Incredible sound for such a small speaker. I bought 3 and use one as a center speaker and it doesn't matter if I'm listening to music, watching tv, or watching a blue ray these speakers create a clear, crisp sound. You can feel the quality when you pick up the speaker because of the weight and how solid the speaker feels. One can tell the time and craftsmanship which went into creating the speaker. The only downside is that the largest wire you can use is 14 gauge. 12 guage wire is to large to fit into the inputs. Otherwise I highly recommend them.

Great small speakers for a home theater

Being a Best Buy sales associate, I have been exposed to many different options for my home theater. But, because I am in an apartment, I wanted something small. These speakers were the perfect fit. My set up includes three of these speakers (Front left, front right, and center), Klipsch SW350 8" subwoofer, Yamaha RX-V475 receiver, along with many other devices. These speakers produce uncompromising sound quality. The clairity is comparable to that found in entry level tower speakers, but with less bass due to their amazingly small size.
If you are someone looking for quality in a small package, these speakers are for you. But if size is not an issue, towers generally offer better sound quality. I will be upgrading to nice towers at some point.

Great sound. A bit pricy, but hopefully I get what I paid for. The only thing I don't like is that the wall mount cover doesn't have much room to hide the 12 gauge speaker wire, which is a bit thick. I can't get the covers to snap on because of the thickness. B&W had a good idea with building the speaker connection into the mounts, but should've allowed a little more room for the wire.

Good Compact Speakers for Mid-Fi Home Theater

I have these in the same room as a pair of floor standing reference speakers that I use for listening to music - these little B&W's obviously don't hold a candle to the big floor standing speakers. That said, I use them only for home theater and they're actually pretty good for TV and movies. I don't think that they're great for music. If you have the room, I'd recommend opting for floor standing speakers of similar quality. If you're cramped for space because you bought those reference floor standing speakers that your wife hates and/or have a wife that didn't want you to buy anymore electronic gadgets, these may be the speakers you need (so that she doesn't divorce you).

Had already invested in the sub-woofer and 2 of these "portable" speakers a few years ago. Not sure why hadn't thought about finishing up the sound before. These are easy to set up, flexible for mounting or sitting, small footprint, great sound. Like the total system even more, now ! While pricey, likely worth the $$. Another component , wireless speaker kit, is needed to make this work, so be prepared to purchase that, too. Very discrete box that fit nicely under a chair.

I needed a better center channel but it had to be small enough to fix the space I have. Most of the center channels that I found were too big. So I decided to replace all 5 of the surround speakers. I tried a Def Tech set and they were no better than the speakers I was replacing. The Magnolia tech had me listen to these and they sounded great. They had all of the mounting hardware and were the right size to use as a center channel. I bought 5. Coupled with the 11 year old JBL sub I have an awesome setup.

Solid built small speaker. Very good mid-bass to treble separation. Love the aluminum speaker housing contour. Speaker has a slightly weighted solid feel. Very good neutral treble presence. I enjoyed the stereo sound of the first pair so much that I was compiled to purchase the other three for a surround sound set up.

I setup these speakers in my home office mostly to listen to music. The sound is so impressive out of a relatively small set of speakers. Bowers and Wilkins always have such a great sound and the quality you get for the price is definitely worth it.
