Stunningly clear, crisp sound. The speaker cabinet is beautiful, and the speaker cones look awesome (I have always kept the covers on my speakers - this is the first speaker I am tempted to remove the cover from). Only danger - you will likely want to run back to Best Buy and purchase matching speakers for the rest of your system (and find yourself a few thousand dollars poorer, but with a fabulous set of speakers).

I had originally thought that I would only upgrade the left and right channel speakers in my surround system, and would save money by eschewing the center speaker. Fortunately I took the advice of the folks at Magnolia and also purchased this bad boy. Didn't realize what I had been missing with my previous unit until I got this home and hooked up. Looks and sounds great, and proves that if you're going to do something, better to do it right the first time.

I had a nice Polk Audio center channel speaker that I have been using for the past 5 years. Picked up a new 65" TV last year and finally broke down down and upgraded to the B&W center channel speaker to go with it. It's night and day over the Polk, I love it :) Even has a bass outlet on the back of the speaker that looks just like a subwoofer outlet. It's expensive but worth every penny!!!

Got this on open box and felt it outperformed the new 6oo series center that I was thinking about getting (for less $$$ due to the open box status). It matches with my CM9's very well.

Good sound, looks good. Nothing bad to say about it except that the price is really high.

This center speaker from Bowers and Wilkins has great crystal sound quality and noble appearance with glossy cabinet. It matches perfectly with my CB9 front speakers. I used to have 4.1 setup, it works great with listening music, but lack of focus of dialogues when playing movies. Now my 5.1 system is complete with this great center. I am very happy with the purchase

It's harder than you might think finding a center channel speaker that works into your system without overpowering it. I got the B&W ASWCM10 subwoofer and CM 8 front speakers (see my reviews). I had a pretty good center channel made by Boston Acoustics that no longer sounded correct with the new components. I auditioned the B&W HTM62 which I thought was expensive for a center channel, but no matter how much I listened to it, I couldn't convince myself I liked it. It sounded boxy and forward to me. The CMCCGB center channel was almost double the price of what I thought was already too expensive, but they sounded great and it matched the other componants (CM series). That means voices (the criteria you should use to judge a center channel) sounded natural and seemed to fit into whatever surrounding they were placed in. I have owned these for several months now and do not regret the cost. We just ate lots of pasta for a while.

I was fortunate enough to get a significant discount on this speaker since the Norwalk store had an open box. So I went for it and I am glad I did. Many folks, when putting together a theater system have a tendency to save money on the center channel speaker. In fact, the center channel speaker has the most difficult range of sounds to reproduce -- including the human voice which is the most difficult to reproduce. This B&W will not disappoint. My last Center Channel was a high end unit manufacture by Canton and I must say, to my ears the B&W blows it away. Worth every penny

My Cd's sound so much better now, actually listening to older forgotten Cd's that's how good these speakers sound. Listened to 683's, but these cm5's just sounded better, and don't take up much room.

This is a very solid speaker delivered a great overall sound for movie view. The shining piano lacquar finished is the biggest attraction to me.

I love my B&W system and this center channel really does a great job keeping up with all of the power from the other speakers and the sub. It is nice to always be able to hear the voices no matter what is going on when watching sports or movies. I love all of my B&W equipment and would highly recommend the CM series. I was considering the 600 series but the CM is a lot more detailed and much crisper and clearer.

I purchased the CMCC to complete my 5.1 HT setup along with four CM5 book shelf monitors and the ASW610 subwoofer. I listen to a fair amount of multi-channel music hence using four CM5s for front R/L and surround R/L channels. The CMCC is a traditional MTM speaker design unlike the larger CMC2. There's no doubt the CMC2 is the better speaker but it was out of my budget. Fortunately, I found the CMCC to have excellent SQ with music and movies. However, dialog does seem a bit constrained at times and that's why I only gave the four star rating for sound quality. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Excellent clear, lifelike sound. Makes the TV audio (when not a stereo broadcast) or spoken word very clear. Not too much treble, just right. Highly recommended. Matches the CM5's well.

I looked high and low for this center channel after buying the CM1 bookshelf speakers. I was overwhelmed with the clarity of the speaker and can honestly recommend this to anyone who wants a powerful center channel.

Beautiful speaker. Added it to my b&w CM1 bookshelfs. Voices are clear as day and not high pitched at all.
