I have in smaller area, great sound for how small speakers are, completely out of the way, did add a small sub and they really sound wonderful.

Very happy with this purchase and you definitely get your money's worth with this pair of bookshelf speakers. I have a Definitive center channel but after hearing B&W's quality I really wanna save for a B&W center later down the road

Been checking out various standard bookshelf speakers, till I heard the Bowers. The demo was all I needed. Spend the few extra bucks worth every penny. Came back and bought the sub, now even better! The Mercedes of speakers!

I bought these speakers because I like to listen to music and I watch a lot of movies and wanted better sound quality. They are best paired with a center speaker so you don't lose the dialogue during movies. Great quality!

I got a pair of these speakers to replace some older smaller speakers I had in my living room. The quality of sound from these speakers is phenomenal. I will be purchasing more Bowers and Wilkins speakers in the near future!

Purchased the Bower 686 S2 Bookshelf speakers and HTM62 S2 Center Channel speaker. Great sound with built-in subwoofer. The sound is crystal clear even lower levels. This was one of my best purchases for the end of 2016.

These are great bookshelf speakers. And they are mountable if you do not have a shelf for them. They have amazing clarity. The detail is so life like. I could not recommend another speaker for the size or price.

I am in absolute awe of these speakers. They are are loud but have clear bass and treble. I got them on sale and have enjoyed the awesome clear sound from them. Highly recommended.

This is a very good speaker, but for a front home theater your system will sound much better with a sub woofer. the sound stage is as good as the price. Great for Classical music!!

I have four of these speakers paired with two floor standing and a center channel speaker -- all B&W. These seven speakers are complimented by a SVS 10" subwoofer. Great system.

We bought these speakers to size down from some large phase tech speakers. Old speakers had great sound, and we doubted replacements would do the job. But these speakers did.

My movies and music have never sounded better!!!!!

Really fantastic sound for such a small bookshelf. The clarity and imaging is really nice as rear surrounds but I'm sure they would make nice fronts with a subwoofer as well.

B&W make excellent speakers, this was a great bargain. The 686 S2 is a well rounded speaker to start off a home theater system. But you will need a subwoofer for real bass.
