I mostly listen to 2 channel music and I must say everything sounds good on them. Please make sure you give them enough clean power. If powered properly, you will be rewarded. I want a second set for my bedroom.

Audio nirvana for 2-ch listening

I have paired these with Cambridge Audio CXA81 integrated amplifier and an SVS 3000 micro sub and its audio heaven for 2 channel listening.

Truly wonderful...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After many speakers and a lot of trial and error with equipment I landed on these and I absolutely love the 705s2. I initially paired them with a Marantz SR7012 and they just sounded hallow, lots of treble, weak mids, no bass. These need a quality amp and source material to really shine. On the advice of the magnolia rep I upgraded to an Arcam receiver and wow what a difference. The sound is so much richer and beautifully detailed. These speakers sound absolutely incredible with quality equipment. The only negative I have with these is the piano black finish. As others have noted these seem to be boxed prematurely and as a result there is some marring of the finish. It’s not super noticeable, but in a well lit area you can see imperfections. I expect better out of $2500 bookshelf speakers. Thankfully the sound quality makes up for this.

Performs way above its size!!!

These are well built and classy looking speaker cabinets with high definition drivers and tweeters! These speakers will let you enjoy recordings and movies as they were meant to be enjoyed! I have these hooked with a Rega Planar 1 and my entire record collection has come alive! If you want great sound you have to build a good system piece by piece and the Bowers and Wilkins 705 S2’s are a good place to start!
