The highs are crisp, the mids are perfect and the bass is smooth.
If you going to listen to the 700 series try these side by side. The difference is phenomenal. Much more expense but will probably be the last speaker you will need to buy. I believe they are overlooked but are the least expensive floor speaker in the 800 series.
