B&W 6 series speakers has been a hit but not the CM series. This CM6 would have been better if it had bass port on the front instead of back. The only reason bass port is on the back is to differentiate this model with its high end diamond series. The result has been too much bass. Maybe they should start calling certain speakers such as CM6 as stand mounters instead of bookshelf speakers. If you are planning to keep this on the bookshelf, good luck with that. I tried it and it didn't work. Also the lower end is not tight and it rattles. Provided foam plugs doesn't solve the purpose. It makes the sound muffled. For $2000, I am going to try other brands.

Very good speaker , great detail, attractive looking speaker. can play very loud fill a big room with beautiful sound. Voices are portrayed accurate and real . Make sure to bi-wire properly and a good powerful amp is used. Can not get better for the price .

I recently upgraded to these from the CM5 S2 speakers. While those are incredible, I really wanted to try their new flagship bookshelves. All I can say is Wow! Blown away. Paired with the CM S2 stands, not only are these gorgeous, but can be listened to for hours on end. These are possibly the best imaging speakers on the market under 3k. The tweeter on top design makes all the difference. The extra 400 to upgrade to the CM6 from the CM5 is worth it 10 fold. From a serious 2-channel Audiophile who has owned some of the best budget (to an audiophile) speakers in the industry, I can safely say BUY THESE NOW. You will not be disappointed!!

When integrated in a QUALITY audio system, these speakers will truly satisfy you're perception of what excellent audio is supposed to sound like,regardless of material. These speakers are great. I use these speakers as surrounds in a 7.2 B&W setup . they are amazing at helping create a cohesive surround experience.
