Great Sound, but a short right out of the box

I've been waiting for these for a long time. They came today, and I was just about giddy. There were plenty of choices for both the stabilizer fins and ear tips, so I was quickly able to find the right size for me, although I admit it took a minute to decide which way was left and which right. The L and R labels on the wires are virtually invisible. Unfortunately, right out of the box I could hear a scratching noise on the left side along with a bit of a hiss, and I tracked its source to the wire coming out of the right side where it connects to the volume piece. Coincidentally, this same thing happened years ago with the C5's. Best Buy replaced them after the first day, and I never had a problem again. I have faith that this will turn out the same way, but I'm glad I bought the geek squad warranty. Pushing past the 'static'-type noise issue, I pinched the wire so I could listen without distraction. These sound absolutely as good (maybe better?) than my B&W C5's and C5 Series 2's. They're a bit less aggressive on the bass end of things, but that is not a bad thing. I'd call them more balanced because of it. The sound is so good that I'll deal with having to go back to the store to return it and try another pair hoping for no defect in the wire. 4.5 for Sound Quality and the jury is still out for build quality.

Quality product from a quality company. Great sound for both music and phone conversations. Microphone picks up my voice with no issue. Battery life could be a little better but its still better than others. The ear buds block out the outside noise very well with the absence of noise canceling ability. I would recommend them to anyone looking for this style ear buds.

Really nice pair of in-ear headphones, Right now the only way to get aptX HD adaptive protocol is to get neck based hearphones. These sound really nice with dual drivers, good battery life and a pretty good range. I can walk amost 30 feet away before they start skipping. As a bonus, I got these on sale for $50 less.

$200 for these? I only bought since I had like $100 in certificates. Sound is ok. Mic is ok. Battery life is meh. I think these are at most worth $79. Bose are a better investment.

I did not like the dual drive it just did not give a great sound presence . I would recommend the pI14 over the pI13 .
