Good sounding earbuds, but...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are good headphones, but the lack of features or non-industry leading availability of features make them tough to recommend. Compared to the usual suspects: 1. Audio Quality - Hands down, this is the best feature. This bests the Sony WF-X4, Bose QC earbuds, Sennheiser Momentum TW2 by a long shot, and destroys the AirPods Pro (not their best feature). The clarity and bass are just unreal and it sounds like you have on a pair of over-the-ear headphones. Just to be clear, I am not an audiophile but these sound amazing. 2. Comfort - Different for everyone, but for my ears the B&W PI7 fit the best and are very comfortable. I cannot wear these for hours on end, but I can't wear any earbuds for hours on end. But when I have these in, I just forget about them. Of the other headphones, in order of comfort I would say Sennheiser (Best), Sony, AirPods Pro, Bose. The problems for me with the others is that, while they are also comfortable, I can expect to do a lot of adjusting while wearing unless I have 3rd tips (something I need for the Sony's). 3. Noise-Canceling - The B&W PI7's are actually pretty good, better than I thought they would be. I used these on an airplane recently with all the other ones indicated and I would order them Bose (best), Sony (very close), B&W PI7, AirPods Pro and Sennheiser. Where the B&W PI7's fall a little behind are frequencies beyond the low rumble of a jet engine. Those tend to get through. Keep in mind that the noise canceling on earbuds is only as good as the fit and tight seal you can get. So, while most say Sony's are the best, if the Bose or B&W PI's fit you bet, you may just feel they have better noise canceling. 4. Controls - This is one that the B&W PI7 just really frustrates me. You can control the music and phone calls with the earbuds. However, it is the same on both earbuds and there is no ability to adjust. You cannot control volume (the Bose and Sennheiser's can). You cannot switch to transparency mode (all the others can). You cannot adjust the level of noise canceling (the Bose and Sony's can). You can do it in the app, but how stupid is that to have to pull your phone out of your pocket, go into the app, wait for the app to connect to the headphones and then change the setting. You're pretty much stuck with having to take one bud out of your ear to have a conversation. Is that horrible? No, but for this price really? Earbuds at half the price of the B&W PI7 can do this. I really hope there is a software upgrade that addresses this. It seems like something so basic. 5. App - Sony wins this hands down for its customization and adjustability. Bose and Sennheiser are close. At least the B&W's have an app that does a few things, unlike the AirPods Pro. 6. Call Quality - the call quality is acceptable, though not great. If you accept an occasional call, you are fine. For business use on a frequent basis, I would not recommend these. I would also not recommend the Sony or Sennheiser's. You go to Bose or the AirPods Pro in that case as they are industry leading for call quality. 7. Case - wireless charging and USB-C make the case very functional. I have not used the audio retransmission feature and have really yet to figure out when I would. The case is bigger than average for 2021 earbuds, but still smaller than the Bose. I wish it was a little smaller so it fit in my pocket better. 8. Battery life - the Sony's win here. While the B&W PI7's are below average for 2021, I can typically make use of any earbud that get me 4-5 hours as I rarely have them on that long before popping back into the case. The only time when a long battery life is important is on a flight, but once I get to 3-4 hours I'm taking my over-the-ear headphones anyway so not an issue. 9. Build Quality - These win hands down. They look and feel great. They are crafted very well and feel good in your hands and in your ears. None of the others mentioned come close. I really want to like these headphones. While the sound is great, when I put on a set of earbuds I want to have the features that are required at this price point. For the B&W PI7's, the app is below average, the call quality is below average, the on-board controls are below average, and the case size is below average (or above average in size as the case may be). Noise canceling is a little above average. Sound quality is industry leading. Build quality is excellent. So basically, you just have to decide if the build quality and sound quality is worth the price. If that is most important, then definitely get these. If not, you should consider the others mentioned.

$400 bucks though? Hmmm…
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Idk if I missed how to use these earbuds, but there’s no volume control on them. A &400 dollar pair of magnolia quality earbuds and no volume control? I’m hoping there will be a firmware update down the road somewhere for that… I was about to give them a four star rating for that reason alone. The sound though, saves the day for these earbuds. They’re very detailed and very sleek fitting. Plus, the functionality is very easy to use via the app on either iOS or Android. Worth $400 though? Probably not. I’m considering returning them and getting the less expensive I5 version of them because they have the same qualities as these, except $100 cheaper. I mainly buy my headphones for sound, and comfort. If it wasn’t for those two qualities being there for me, I definitely would’ve returned them. And please consider the other alternatives for earbuds if you want more feature packed earbuds. But if you like b and w for sound, aesthetic and comfort, these won’t disappoint. Thanks for reading.

Dope buds
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are perfect for late nights when everyone is asleep, but you wanna listen to music or watch a movie. Not really for taking on a run or to the gym. Wouldn’t want to get them wet with sweat or for them to accidentally fall out your ears. Although, they do feel snug, I wouldn’t risk it. The sound is really nice and the technology is really nice, too. Wireless charging. Touch controls. Bluetooth. The storage case charges. It can also be used to directly connect to any source so that you still can wirelessly hear from sources that aren’t Bluetooth capable, such as tvs, CD players, and record players. The App is simple and easy to use.

Probably don't buy them
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Conclusion right up front: They sound pretty good, but everything else kind of sucks. This product is kind of an oxymoron. True wireless headphones are supposed to be all about convenience. You open the case, pop them in your ears, and just go about your life. Will they sound as good as wired IEMs? Nope. Can you use your own DAC? Nope. But they're just so darned convenient. These, however, are not convenient. They have a focus on sound quality, which is admirable, but everything else suffered for it. And these do sound really good! Having tried a handful of $200+ earbuds, I would say these sound the best. They also look good. That's really the extent of good things I have to say about them. The case feels cheap. Not the worst ever, but disappointing on such a high end product. They only come with 3 size ear tips in 1 material (silicone). For $400 they could afford to throw in more sizes and/or a set of foam tips. This might sound petty, but keep in mind that the ear tip fit and material *dramatically* effects your perception of sound. With so few options there is a good chance you won't get a good fit, and subsequently they won't sound very good. The bluetooth pairing was an adventure. The quick start guide is lies, it does not explain how to pair them. I had to download the manual, because it isn't in the box, and that clarified how to pair them. Once paired, the left and right earbud kept cutting in and out. Pausing and unpausing them would fix the problem temporarily, but it would come back. I checked for software and firmware updates, everything was up to date. After unpairing, factory resetting, and pairing them a couple times I got the right bud to stay connected but the left one would cut out. I enabled developer settings on my phone (Note 8), and manually changed my Bluetooth codec to test different setups. This made the bud cut out less often, but I was never able to fix the issue and this is ultimately why I returned them. Oh and there is a mystery button on the front of the case. It is not referenced anywhere in the manual. I think it checks the battery level of the case. Bottom line, they fail at being good wireless earbuds because good wireless earbuds are effortless to use. If you want convenience, the Sennheisers are lightyears ahead of these. If you want sound quality, you're better off compromising and getting wired earbuds and a good DAC. For the price of these you can get a pair of Shure Aonic 4s and an Audioquest Dragonfly Black, a combo that will sound infinitely better.

Coming from an all Apple user
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re coming from AirPods Pro, these are absolutely worth it If sound quality is most important to you. I read a lot of reviews before buying these and people would say you can hear things you never heard before. I didn’t believe that after having a lot of headphones/earbuds, only using AirPods Pro since they came out but those people are absolutely right. I listen to everything from polo g to Chris Stapleton to Adele. The clarity on these using Apple Music (not even hifi) is truly insane. I really feel like I’m in the studio hearing them sing right in front of me. Putting AirPods Pro on comparing these 2 is crazy. Makes the AirPods sound flat and like they have zero bass (which before owning these I thought they had pretty good bass and clarity. These will blow you away if you’re coming from AirPods Pro.

Stunning Uncompromised Sound Reproduction
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After almost two years of living quite satisfied with the Sennheiser Momentum earbuds, which began failing just shy of the warranty period, I decided to move up. Correcting a wrong decision to try Sony's WF-1000XM4, I purchased these beauties only days later and returned the former over-hyped buds. Bowers & Wilkins have set a new standard for true wireless in-ear audio playback. They fit comfortably, pair instantly and provide jaw-dropping dynamic range. The app is simple. Most important is the quality achievement of these In-ear True Wireless Headphones.

WAY OVERPRICED and AMBITIOUS
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is good. ANC is good. Battery life is not good. Connection is HORRIBLE. I also don't know why I have to tap to connect to the app. The app should be able to detect the earbuds connected as soon as you open it. It's too expensive for the buds can do which are pretty much basic. Maybe if the battery life is better and the the controls are very customizable - able to have music control, volume controls, and ANC/Transparency toggle on and off at the same time then maybe sure. Also... the case feels so plastic CHEAP! I'm definitely gonna be getting something else.

BOWERS AND WILKINS PI7 Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.INCREDIBLE CLEAR SOUND, Premium construction. Battery Life at 4-5 hours. Case gives another 20 plus. App is ok, you can’t adjust EQ. The SEPARATOR is the audio retransmission feature. Basically the wireless charging case has a unique audio retransmission feature. You can use the included USB CTO 3.5mm to send stereo analog audio over Bluetooth via aptX. So any device with 3.5 mm out and make it instantly stream high quality audio to the earbuds!

No regrets, good fit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the PX 7 over ear and love them, so after I talked to the associates in the store who said if I wasn't satisfied, they were returnable. All I can say is that I'm happy with them. The sound is very pleasing and the fit is good for me, which was my primary concern since I have difficulty with buds falling out. They are comfortable, and I use the EQ built into the Samsung phone settings ro get the sound profile that I prefer. No sound drops for me with activity. Best ear buds I've owned, up to about 30 sets.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You get these buds because you appreciate clarity, a wide frequency range, and the best sounding ear buds available. I've had B&W headphones for over a decade now. Always sounded great. A sound engineer friend has an entire mixing studio with B & W speakers and it sounds amazing. I wasted my time with the latest offerings from Sony and Bose, which I've owned many of their products over the past four decades. While not a fan of buds, these stay in my ear and the sound is outstanding.

Amazing sound quality and goos ANC
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned quite a few pairs of earbuds and the Bowers and Wilkins PI7s are for sure in a league of their own in terms of sound quality and innovation. The case, which can be used as a blutooth retransmitter for the buds, works superbly. I use the case with my PS5 controller for gaming and there is no latency! If youre an audiophile, the earbuds have a soundstage that is wider and more accurate than any other earbuds - be it Bose, Beats or Sennheiser.

Sound Quality Outperforms The Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are worth every penny. The sound quality is unmatched to any other headphones I have tried. And the best part is they stay in my ears. Noise cancellation is superb as well. I'm an audiophile, if you're looking for the best quality sound, this is it hands down. Thank me later. The only downside is they don't qualify for the Geek Squad protection plan. Had to buy Total Tech to cover them. Still worth it.

Bowers and Wilkins huge FAIL!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Sound when they work and that is the key with this product. It hardly ever does. Problems with battery charging, sound, bluetooth connection are all part of the problems. I am on my second pair because I had to return the first. Now I'm stuck with them. Major disappointment and rip-off for this kind of money.
