Pros: 1. Excellent Sound 2. Feature Set 3. Comfort 4. Customizable ANC settings Cons: 1. Heavy vis-a-vis QC 35 2. Sweating after an hours use Quality product but after 10 years of using Bose, I exchanged it for a set of QC 35. One additional comment ignore the online comments about the headphones have an extremely sensitive setting when the headphones are taken off. From my experience they've done a great job of keeping the feature set upto date via firmware updates. All in all an excellent product just not for me

If you read reviews for these headphones on the internet you'll find them fairly polarized. People either love them or find them inadequate for the price. If you value noise cancellation over sound quality, go for the Bose. If you value noise cancellation and sound quality equally, go for the Sony WH-1000MX2. But if you want a pair of headphones that balance features, sound quality, noise cancellation and attractive design, I think these are among the top 3. First of all, they charge over USB-C. Second, they have sensors that detect if you're wearing them and stop the music when you take them off. Third, they have an app that lets you tailor noise cancellation and keep track of other aspects of the headhphones. And finally, to me, they sound great. They support APT-X HD bluetooth so for modern Android phones that also support that codec, you'll get better wireless sound performance. They have great battery life and can pair with more than one device at a time (unlike the Sony). They don't sound very good with the cable, but these are designed to be wireless. And for that purpose, I think they're a solid choice in this price range. Maybe also consider B&O H8 if you're looking at these. Those have fewer features but you may like their sound signature better.

I've tried the QC35, Sony 1000X-mk II & Sennheiser PXC550 and I have to say that these are hands down the best sounding headphones. The sound is so natural and not overpowered by the bass like the others that are comparable. You are able to depict the instruments and the soundstage is at the right place. I like that these use a USB-C to charge. The ability to pick up the headphones and it automatically turns on, connect to your device and start playing music without you have to push any buttons is fantastic. The cons is that the auto detect doesn't work as well as I would have liked for something of this quality and price range. You do, however, have the ability to turn off this feature using the phone app. The noise cancelling is not the best in this class, but was able to block out the engine noise on my trip to Japan recently. One thing that really annoys me and cannot be fixed with any app is when you have the headphones on your head and if you turn your head or eat something, the way that the ear cup swivels instead of fold up, causes the seal to be broken and noise will start to leak in and sound quality start to leak out. If you just stay still and not move at all, then the headphones will stay on perfectly and block out most of the ambient noise. I wished these would fold up like the P7's instead of pivot. Because these don't fold, I fear that one of these days I will end up bending or breaking these if I apply the right pressure at it's breaking point. These are heavier and have a stiffer ear cup & headband, but the whole flight from Japan I did not feel any fatigue except for the top of the crown of my head. I did notice that it was red where my head met the headband.

Great Wireless Sound and ANC for the price

Bought a set of these for my wife who finds earbuds uncomfortable. I listened to several models of Bluetooth OTH headphones from Bose, Sony, and others, and to me these sounded the most natural listening to the same source. The ANC settings can be controlled from an App (free) on your smartphone (3 positions) as well as turned off either from the App or using a button on the ear-cup itself. The ANC does seem to muffle the sound some and also requires raising the volume setting to get good sound. Battery life has been very good even with ANC on (turning it off, which is how I would choose to use them extends the usable run-time) I won't compare them to my Focal or my Beyerdynamic open back phones connected to a Woo Audio Tube headphone amp, but then that is not a setup useful for walking around the living room let alone sitting on a plane. If you want a good sounding portable headphone that can also support phone conversations through the built-in mic, these phones are very well built and stylish as well (even though to me they seem a bit heavy - no surprise with all the built-in electronics) Since I travel a lot for work and spend a great deal of time in airports and on planes, I liked them so much I bought a set for myself. Highly recommended.

These were my first pair of over ear headphones. I had a pair of on ear BWs before that used to squish my head too much especially with glasses. Those could not be worn for extended periods. These put a fair amount of pressure on your head too but no pain with glasses and I can wear them for 4-5 hours or more. Sound quality is amazing and crisp. Great bass, mids and treble as expected with B&W. I have Shure earbuds that I thought were amazing until I got these B&W PXs. Noise cancelling is pretty good and has improved with firmware upgrades. I agree with other posts re: how NC downgrades the sound quality as you turn up NC. Haven’t used the microphone feature so not sure how well that cuts out background noise. Battery lasts forever. They say 22 hours but it seems to last longer that that. Much better than my wireless ear buds which are only good for 6 hours.

The Bowers & Wilkins PX is a well built headphone with excellent sound and good noise cancellation. However, I feel that headphones are a little bit too heavy for me and the ear cups tend to twist away from my ears when I'm lying on the bed or couch. I much prefer the comfort and lack of ear cup twisting of my old Sennheisers. That said, if you are just sitting at a desk or in an airplane seat, they are fine. These are great headphones for excellent sound, but are less comfortable than competitors such the Bose Quiet Comforts II or the latest Sonys.

Without question, these are the best looking headphones I've seen and the sound is just as good as they look. I currently use these headphones to sync with my receiver so I can watch movies without disturbing others and listening to music around the house. The sound is well balanced for all types of uses. Now those that love a lot of overpowering bass probably won't enjoy these much. I will say that I have heard sounds/instruments that I haven't heard before with these headphones. I will say it did take some time for the ear cushions to soften and at first, I was going to take them back because the top cushion was hurting my big head. After about a week, it was fine and I can wear these all day now. Something that may throw people off is the noise canceling. I could be wrong here, but I've only been able to adjust the noise cancelling through the app. Since I'm at home, I don't need to change it but I can see someone complaining about using an app to adjust something that is on their head. Anyway, I can talk for a few hours about these headphones but to sum it all up, these are great headphones and I don't regret my purchases.

These have to be some of the best sounding headphones I have ever purchased, when comparing to headphones that also offer noise cancelation. They sound better than the Bose QC 35 and the Sony WH-1000xm2. The problem with them is that they are not that comfortable. They have a lot of clamping pressure, and they hurt the top of my head when used for more than 30 minutes. I guess to be expected given they are the heaviest of the three. I did like the large ear cushions as my ears had plenty of room on the inside, but I couldn't get past the pressure on the top and sides. Either of the other two mentioned models are more comfortable. The Sony sounds better than the Bose, but the Bose is the most comfortable of all for extended use.

    B&W Fan, but not these

I am a major B&W fan owning both the C5 earbuds and the P7 wired over the ear. I love the P7's and they really sold me on B&W quality and sound. When I wanted a high quality wireless with noise reduction(I hate having to use the iPhone adapter) the PX were my first thought. I also looked at the Bose QC2 and the Sony wireless. All were comparably priced and all sounded very good. I chose the B&W PX based on how much I loved my P7's and the sound quality. Sad to say I have never been satisfied with the PX's. Sound quality is great as expected but they are not comfortable to wear. I hate to say I hate them but for that very reason I do. I wish I had went ahead and gotten the Sony. I have Bose QC wired and love them and would have loved the QC2 but I let the known B&W sound quality lead me back to them. I do not like the noise reduction on the PX's or that everything to control them has to be done through the app. Also, if you notice in the photo I uploaded how the earpieces are somewhat turned. The earpieces do turn but not a full 360. This small amount of turning is aggravating and make wearing them even more uncomfortable and troublesome. I also know this is minor in relation to sound quality but the case they provide is about useless. The headphones don't fit in the case and they don't really provide any protection for the headphones. Paying $400 for a set of headphones should at least get you a decent case as well. I hate to say it but I just can't recommend the PX's and wish I hadn't have either.

I bought these headphones not knowing much about them specifically. I would definitely classify this as an impulse buy. I knew the brand, and I love wireless headphones, so I pulled the trigger. When I opened them up, the first thing I noticed was the gorgeous build quality. These things just feel amazing in the hand! The anodized aluminum parts are smooth and robust, and the removable ear cups are made of a very nice leather. I love the way they feel on my head. They didn't look too flashy, which I appreciated. I also LOVED that they used USB C. All around, I'd give them a 10/10 for build quality and aesthetics. The sound, however, leaves a lot to be desired. With ANC turned off, the headphones are at their best, which still happens to be quite mediocre. A very flat, even handed sound profile had me saying "Is this it?" on my first listen, which is not what you want the initial reaction to something you spent $400 to be. The highs were not sweet, the mids were middling, and the bass was hollow and unsatisfying. Turning on the ANC only made it worse, with each successive increase in noise canceling bringing with it a corresponding decrease in sound quality. With the ANC on, the sound is muffled and vaguely distorted. Overall, I was very disappointed with these headphones. I would recommend both the QC 35 II and the Sennheiser HD 1 Wireless more than these. I returned these and purchased the Sennheisers myself, and I have no regrets.

Audio quality is outstanding best I've ever experienced when it comes to sound balance, clarity and fidelity. Headphones are still very comfortable (with no ear fatigue) after wearing for long periods of time. The bluetooth range is great, I often still have a strong connection even for distances of over 50 feet. The only knock is that over calls either on my phone or on video conference meetings, I often get complaints from the the people on the other end of horrible feedback and echos. If you are looking for the best headphones to listen to music and audio these are top notch! In this era of lots of video conferencing and if you are looking for all purpose headphones you may need to consider another pair due to feedback on the mic. Other than that I've had these for a year and had without issue. The case it comes with ensures full protection when traveling. They are also great to look at. Despite the steep cost I would defiantly recommend for those that appreciate great audio.

I purchased the headphones for my fiancee as a gift about two months ago. The fit of these headphones is perfect for both of us, slightly on the tighter side but by no means overbearing. The ear pads are extremely comfortable, and breathe very well. The finish on these headphones is second to none as far as noise canceling models are concerned. All materials used in the construction of these headphones are premium, and accent each other tastefully. Even the included soft case is a nice, soft el cantera type material. The features included are very nice, and work as advertised. Noise cancelling works great. I really like how they turn on/off when you put them on and take them off. Lifting an ear muff will pause your media until it is placed back on your ear. Everything is run off an app that can be downloaded on a phone or iPod. The sound quality of these things is fantastic! For the price point, you would be hard pressed to find anything better. Only thing I wish was different on these is that the blue be more of a royal blue. They still look incredible though, being a navy blue. Big investment, but worth it. Wil be buying myself a set of these eventually.

By far, the best pair of cans I own. Right out of the box they sound awesome, but after a week or so of tweaking the sound inside of the phone's (Note8 PIE) settings...Wow, these things really shine. Go to Dolby Atmos in the phone's(Android) settings and there are tons of features to personalize your sound. Also, go in the Developer Options and make sure the bluetooth settings and audio Codecs are correct. Sounds like a lot but it's totally worth it....HANDS DOWN, the best sounding cans you can buy. My favorite feature is taking them off and putting them in the case. They go to sleep and when you put them on again, they connect and pick up where you left off. No need to power them off. AWESOME HEADPHONES !!!!!

I own Audeze E8, Sennheiser HD1, psb speakers, and Bose QC 30 and 35. The Sennheisers and PSB are same price point, so that's what I am comparing the PXs to. I mostly care about the sound so, yes they look cool and the build quality is good. The controls are adequate. Battery life is good. Sound: they are accurate and have a very good sound stage. BUT they sound "tinny" when you first try them. The ear cups feel like you have large cups on your ears. I've been told they have to be broken in first (30 hours or so). The lower mids and lows are week but accurate so a little equalizing or effects can help. YES the noise cancelling diminishes the quality of the music. The sennheisers are better at covering the entire dynamic range (better at mid lows and lows). I find myself using the HD1s more because they are a better "all rounder". But the PXs are better at acoustic and classical music where accuracy is better appreciated. I hope the bass will be more prevalent when they are broken in. I wouldn't buy these without first listening to the Sennheiser HD1 cans. Hope this helps.

I like the look and feel of the headphones. It has a long battery life. It is on the heavy side but it does not feel flimsy or cheap. I like it. Noise cancelling is good too. Love the auto pause when you remove it from your ear, no more fumbling for the buttons to pause music.

Bought a set for my wife in black as earbuds bothered her a lot. She loved them so much (seldom takes them off at home listening to TV Dramas and Music), that I tried them for portable wireless use. Went out and bought these 4 days later. Not a comparison on music to my open back headphonest against a Woo Class-A Headphone Amp, but for general portable listening to music already compressed such as Amazon or SiriusXM on my laptop or iPhone they are comfortable, and have very good sound quality and are not merely convenient but considerate of others on an airplane which my laptop, Dragonfly Red, and open backs would not do. I also use them instead of earbuds in phone calls a lot - sound quality is very good. Overall a really good set of headphones with both wired and wireless option, great build quality, and look nice. Just a bit heavy but you get used to it.

Ok I will admit it, I went to Best Buy to pick up the Bose qc35 gen II (2s?). I had them on my head when I spotted the PXs on an end cap with some B&O headphones and really did not want to like the look of either the PX or the B&O cans. The B&O were $500 and the PX were $400. I know B&O make some nice gear but I'm not a fan of their personal audio kit. I picked up the PXs because I like the brand and I really liked the build quality and materials used. These are metal and tough nylon and some more metal. I have a big head and found these snug until I held my breath and stretched them out. No issues doing that as they really are solidly built. The pads have started to soften up both from wear and from using them as stress balls to work the leather quicker. The headphones need about 20 hours to bed in and then they sound great. The cups seal really well without noise cancelling on and with it on you don't hear much at all in an office or public setting. B&W have put out 2 firmware updates since I have owned then which has been around a month. This shows at least for now they are working to improve the user experience. As this is the first pair or wireless NC headphones the company has brought out I think they are putting their best foot forward in supporting the customer and adding new features. The smart features are there for answering calls pausing music etc. Lifting an ear away from your face pauses the music which works well. Oh and they support HD audio and let's not forget USB C support for charging and HD audio formats. All in I love these headphones. Would I have a pair if Bose or Sony wh1000? Probably, but I am not taking these back so I don't know what I am missing :) Criticisms The case is soft and I have not seen an official hard case yet (why??) I would like the option to purchase other earpads. You can buy replacements which is great but I would like to have some cloth and leather sets when in hot and cold climates.

I live in an apartment complex and everyone in it has small yuppie dogs. Those dogs bark all the time and when the 4th of July I had enough. These headphones work wonders for me. They paired easily with my Samsung S8, Sony 55" A1 OLED, iPad, and Apple TV. As soon I start using one of those devices the headphones immediately switch over to that device and start playing whatever I'm listening to. The best feature about them is that as soon I take the headphones off they pause the music or movie. Then if I put them back on that music or movie picks right back up and continues playing. Otherwise they will power off. Also the battery life seems to be very good. I can go several days without having to charge them.

Takes a few listens to fully appreciate the sound that these headphones produce. The sound is a little more concentrated on the highs but once you adjust, you begin to hear the richness of the rest of the sounds. Like the bass, it is not punchy but it can definitely be heard. Its more of the real sounding bass that you would get in the studio. If want your music to sound like your at a concert then these are probably not what you want. But if you prefer the sound to feel as if its in your living room then these might be for you.
