We bought the tread on a voack friday deal to setup our home gym. It has 2 user settings for me and my husband to track our progress separately and lots of different programs to use.

The screen stopped working after a single use. Best Buy did arrange a switch with a new unit. Hopefully the new one is a better quality.

So far, so good as far as actual treadmill performance. I like the JRNY app, which was unexpected. We'll see by my weight loss whether or not I'll continue with it after the year trial. The treadmill runs smoothly and sounds the same as most others not super quiet and not super loud. I do like how smoothly the incline activates and how responsive the speed settings are. This treadmill does not live up to the promises of connectivity and technology though. The speakers so far have been useless. They don't connect via Bluetooth or JRNY, and so far, the only way to play something is with a headphones jack which most new phones don't have, so... Bluetooth is also fairly useless. You can connect JRNY, but that's it. My phone recognizes the machine but even paired it doesn't play the speakers or allow you to use other fitness apps, so don't let that be a decision maker when buying. If you want that stuff to actually work without use of an expensive virtual gym membership look at another treadmill. Now, if you do wish to pair the Bluetooth with something, the pin is 000000. It's not in the manual, which was aggravating. Most of this review is negative but you'll notice I only knocked one star off. Ignore all of the high-tech connectivity promises. This machine just doesn't perform as promised in that arena. However, it's a pretty sturdy workhorse with ample storage for water bottles books or tablets if that's your thing weights etc. The storage for stuff and workout accessories really made a difference for me. Don't laugh but it runs smoothly enough that I have my morning mug of coffee on one cupholder and a jug of water on the other. You can fit large water vessels or a big bottle of Gatorade, there's that much storage. Regarding space, it's wide, I haven't come close to racking my arms on any parts of it and the track is long enough to actually full out run. The chest strap works and the screen is easy to read. I will say that the foot print on this treadmill is huge. Think the same amount of space as a desk. If you are replacing a 20-30 year old treadmill of the kind that folds completely vertical, this does not do that, it only folds up about 50 degrees and you will need twice the amount of space you needed before to store the same treadmill. It is heavy and cumbersome. If you do not have a fixed spot for it and are not a titan you will have much difficulty trying to tilt it onto the wheels. I am 5'5' with a 32-inch inseam and I cannot reach where my toes would need to be to stabilize it enough the tilt it for movement. I repeat, you will not be rolling this into and out of any closets or storage nooks, you need to place it where you want it. Luckily I had a spot after rearranging the entire home gym. In general, for the price, this is a four-star machine provided you completely ignore everything that was said about Bluetooth, streaming, and connectivity in general. I would recommend it to a friend based on the storage alone.

I purchased this treadmill a little over a month ago. I use it just about every other day. I don't use it for running, so I can't comment on that, but for walking, it is a great alternative when you can't get outside. It is very sturdy and you can walk hands free if you want or use the hand rails for stability. You can vary the speed easily using the buttons next to the hand grips. You can also use the incline function which is also easy to adjust using the buttons next to the hand grips. The incline function makes for a challenging walk increasing the cardio workout. There is a built in fan, although it only puts out a small volume of air, it is still nice. There are built in speakers to use while you are working out. I have not tried out any of the programs, I like to use it in manual mode. When you are done working out, you can lift the deck up and the piston underneath will lock the deck in an almost upright position to minimize the floor space the treadmill takes up. I assembled the treadmill myself. You can pay best buy to have someone assemble it for you. If you can follow directions, you might be able to assemble it yourself, or have someone help you as it would be helpful to have assistance.

Love my new treadmill!! Takes a bit to put together and an extra set of hands would’ve been helpful but I was able to on my own. So so glad I bought it and it’s even better because I purchased during the holiday sales. Quality made, with all the extras. Solid machine, perfect for walking on an incline or a full run if you prefer. Has options for two different users, memory of prior workouts, 3speed fan, lit up display, and the ability to plug in your electronics. Highly recommend.

I have owned a couple of treadmills and have used many. This is a good workhorse treadmill that is able to handle use over many years. My biggest issue with this treadmill is that the back end of the mat has two plastic pieces that are easy to break off of your stride is long and wide. The pieces are meant to protect the back end, but I've broken them off multiple times and now I just leave them off and it looks a little junky.

Good treadmill, just a few things I don't love

The treadmill came as advertised. I thought setup was easy. Runs and inclines very smooth. My only 2 knocks on this treadmill (and these are just my personal preference) is that there is no pace display and that the distance is only displayed in 00.0 (ie. 1.1, 1.2, 1.3...) format, but I prefer to have 00.00 (ie. 1.11, 1.12, 1.13...). This isn't a huge deal but it can feel like you're not making any progress while walking at a slower pace. I like to run at different paces so I ended up printing out a reference sheet so I could look at what pace I am running at different MPH. I should have read up more on this treadmill's features before buying but overall I am very happy with this treadmill. I found it on sale for $899 so I can definitely live with these few minor inconveniences.

Good Solid Treadmill. Bought this when it was on sale and could not be happier with the quality vs price. Wish the graphic interface was a little more customizable but all the info is clear and visible. Put it together myself. Can attest it is very heavy. Belt assembly comes as a complete unit and that is the bulk of the weight. Everything lined up and was relatively quick to assemble. Packaging was pretty good. Saw previous complaints about arriving damaged. I had no problems.
Great machine - Sturdy, quiet, responsive.

Thanks to BestBuy, the Treadmill box was delivered to the installation location 3 days after ordering. The box was very heavy, It took some effort for two people to remove the packing under the treadmill belt (heaviest part). After that I had to follow the assembly instructions. It is important to follow instructions exactly (and use your visual skills - descriptive instructions are not very detailed) . Do not tighten the bolts until the instruction says so (important) . If you tighten the bolts in the first few steps then the other bolts may not align properly. Look for "L" or "R" markers when assembling (the instructions do not say that explicitly). Always have one additional person around. Once assembled, it may be difficult to move (need a lot of help). Thus, assemble in the place where you intend to keep this.
After the installation, the treadmill is good, somewhat noisy but, sturdy. So far used the manual mode. Looks good too. I like the 20x60 belt size. Not many treadmills that offer this size, with this sturdiness, in this price range.

Here’s some brief info on my previous treadmill for reference. The Bowflex BXT6 Treadmill was bought to replace a 10 year old Smooth Fitness 7.35 treadmill. The Smooth Fitness treadmill was working ok, but the belt needed replacing, and after being given ridiculous repair quotes, I reluctantly decided to spring for a new treadmill. The Smooth treadmill lived up to its name, re great “feel” on the treadmill, and worked every single time. I literally had zero problems for a long time until the belt needed replacing. Fast forward to this Bowflex. I thought I did my homework, and the reviews were great, but my personal experience has been far from ideal.
CONS
- Spontaneous speeding-up: This treadmill is dangerous. In the few months that I’ve owned it, it sped up spontaneously and rapidly at least 5 times. I’ve only used the treadmill in manual mode since this is my preference. The latest incident prompted me to write this review. I was doing a brisk walk after a moderate run, and was actually thinking to myself “the treadmill hasn’t randomly sped up on its own in a while.” Well I spoke too soon :). I was walking at around 4.0 mph when the treadmill spontaneously increased speed. The previous times this happened I instinctively pressed the stop button since I was caught unawares. This time I allowed it to run for a bit so that I could eyeball the display to see if there was anything noticeable, and maybe see if it would stop increasing speed on its own. There was nothing that I could discern, and I manually lowered the speed when it reached 9.6 back to 4mph since I'm not Usain Bolt. It appeared to me that the speed would have just kept going up if I hadn’t intervened. I also want to point out that unlike my previous treadmill, there are no controls on the arms. All the controls are on the console, and on the angled bar on either side of the emergency pin, and I have definitely not touched the controls accidentally to precipitate the spontaneous Olympic sprint mode.
- VERY noisy: The treadmill operates well in terms of how the belt feels while running, but there are a couple distinct and continuous sounds (clicking and creaking) coming from the frame or deck while I’m running. The Best Buy contractors assembled this treadmill, so I have no idea if everything was tightened properly. I hope to perform a cursory examination of the frame and bolts soon, but the sounds are definitely not normal, especially for a new treadmill. More concerning, both the clicking and creaking have gotten much worse over time. After just a few months, the noise is now intolerable to the point where I have to listen to music in order to run. It sounds like an old, creaky pirate ship that’s about to split apart during a storm. I have lubricated the belt according to the maintenance schedule, and though I’m far from a treadmill expert, I don’t think the noises are due to issues with the belt. They seem more due to the impact of my feet hitting the deck, and I can minimize the noises if I grip the frame tightly while walking, that’s why I think something may not be tightened properly on the frame. I generally don’t hold the arms or console while walking or running. I did this solely to try to isolate the source of the noises.
- Buggy Controls: You can select one of the preset speeds in manual mode instead of having to use the Up or Down button to increase or lower the speed gradually to your desired speed, but then you have to press the “Confirm” button to confirm your desired preset speed level. I find this sequence to be annoying, especially since the mandatory additional confirmation press doesn’t seem to work many times. I find myself having to regularly increase the speed manually from 0 instead of jumping directly to 3, 6 or 9 mph.
- Short Arms – This treadmill has T-Rex type arms. They seem rather pointless to me, like Bowflex checked a box, rather than included arms that might have some use.
- Sturdiness: The treadmill is flimsy compared to my old Smooth Fitness treadmill. In the stowed upright position, the arm that locks it seems to be far from robust. If I apply minimal pressure, the treadmill “sways”. Let’s just say that I’m happy there are no kids around
PROS:
- Deck feels great while running
- Powerful motor
- Reasonably large belt / running surface
- Large incline capability, 12mph top speed (which I will never test out)
- Enough cup-holders and space for random crap that you may have in your pockets

Good treadmill for the price. Takes a little long to increase speed and it would help to have a jump button to the next whole number. Also would be nice if the incline had .5, 1.5, 2.5, etc. The treadmill is kind of loud, but not terrible.

Treadmill was easy to put together. It is very heavy though. Easy to use but limited to 2 user settings. The top cover of the treadmill was cracked upon arrival. You have to download an app to get the Bluetooth to work, but have yet to get it working. Aux cord does work.

Really great treadmill, probably a bit too much for our needs honestly. But it has settings for everyone in the family to use, from super easy to super hard. My daughters love the incline, and my husband loves that he can make a personalized program. I'm not so sure the HR reader is very accurate, that I highly question. But otherwise it's a very sturdy heavy piece. And when I say heavy, I mean it's VERY heavy. Don't try to help your husband bring it in cause you might regret that the next day. Pretty much if we move it's staying with the house. It is also huge, so make sure you measure and don't just assume it will fit in a specific spot.

This treadmill is very sturdy. The speaker quality is poor but that is not why I purchased this unit. I like my headphones or a speaker in the room while using this treadmill. If your looking for a solid unit with basic functions and you don’t care about the speakers this is a good quality treadmill. It has a great incline and allows you the ability to build your own workout. I like that it has a two person option as I am not the only person that uses this unit. Also, if you plan to pickup make sure you have help and have a long truck bed. This unit is very heavy and the box it comes in is very long.
