so bought for christmas to go with our new wii. For $29 I thought it would be awesome having played the wii sports bowling a few times, and had said several times while playing "it'd be cool if they had a ball you could put your fingers into" and was excited when I saw this. My fingers aren't frankenstein huge but really don't fit comfortably in the ball. it seems nicely designed enough, and you probably could make do with it with smaller hands, my kids have tried it and gone back to what feels more natural now, the regular wii mote and enjoy bowling more with it. As for the AMF world lanes game itsself, peee-yuuuu. the action / control is very NES-like, w/ 64 looking graphics. No comparison to the wii sports bowling, friend says the other AMF game is better, pinbusters or something like that. Might try the ball again someday, was able to throw a few strikes, it's not a total loss... could recommend the ball, but not the AMF World Lanes Game.

This Wii Accessory is great for any bowling enthusiast. I purchased this for my girlfriends fathers (A very good bowler mind you has many 300 games). At first I was afraid that he would not really get into their new Christmas gift, the Wii, however after I saw that childhood gleam in his eye after his first bowling game I could see he was hooked. He said he enjoys the bowling ball and the game that came with it was very good. Many Choices from bowlers, lanes, to even balls. One thing that can be difficult for a user to get a hold of will be releasing the ball when the game wants you too, however, when you get your timing down the simulation and fun begins. Ball mimics the throws of real bowling ball and can be quite accurate. Fun for the whole family.

I purchased this and wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but I really do. I have a small hand and so it works great for me using the finger inserts. I enjoy using it when I play the bowling games as it makes them seem more realistic than just using the Wii remote by itself. I would recommend this to most folks that are RIGHT HANDED. If you are left handed, forget it. The buttons are in the wrong place, at least it seems like they would be to me. Neat idea and the game that was included with mine is really super too!!

Only gave the overall rating a 5 because of the bowling ball, it's AWESOME!!! I use it for the sports and sports resort bowling and I love it. The game isn't fun at all. if you like the Wii sports bowling get the ball it just makes it so much more fun.

Based on the description and other abilities of the Wii, I expected a much better product.

It's fun, but takes more co-ordination than expected. That will come with use.

The buttons are not well-placed for use as a bowling ball. And, there is not a way to make it accessible for left-handed people.
