Director Richard Linklater deserves kudoes for his innovative approach of focusing on the growing up pains of a boy (from age 6 to 18). What makes this film so creative and unusal is that it was filmed in just 39 days with the same actors over a 10 year period. Praise should be given to actors Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke (the boy's parents) and to Ellar Coltrane (the boy).

Pastor Gordon Friday's sermon at his church - Timberline Fellowship was inspiring. It's great to have a movie showing God's love for all of us through Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins so that we are forgiven of all our sins by accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior.

Linklater does it again! Anyone who enjoyed Dazed or his Before Sunrise-Midnight films should also enjoy being a fly on the wall through another set of realistic & well acted moments in these endearing characters lives...No matter how big or small every moment is one to cherish.

Salesman Nick was very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us with our selection and answered all of our questions. The 65 inch Samsung curved screen 4 tv is beautiful and as the best picture I have seen. We are proud to be an owner and are looking forward to many wonderful movies, tv shows and gaming on our newly purchased 4 tv. Thank you.

Boyhood is one of the most criminally underrated films of this century. An intricate look at the intermissions in our lives growing up, providing a nice time capsule that takes me down memory lane every time I watch it. Get the Criterion release if you can, it's loaded with extras.

Dazed and Confused is one of my favorite films, so I knew just what I was getting into when I heard about his 12 year adventure that is Boyhood. It is beautifully crafted, and although it doesn't actually have a plot, it is a film that resonates fully.

This is an amazing effort on the part of the director, following a script in real time and allowing the characters to age in real time. I gave it 4 stars for courage more than for the storyline. The character arc isn't well developed at all. At best, it's a more edgy version of "The Wonder Years."

Finally a movie about kids and growing up that doesn't insult your intelligence. It will be a travesty if this doesn't win Best Picture Oscar (and yes I have seen American Sniper). If you care about seeing really good movies, see this one.

the idea behind the movie is pretty interesting and worth watching the movie, but I think the edition could have been better at keeping the flow of the story. still, if you like the other films of this director, specially the before sunrise trilogy, this is a must see.

I saw Boyhood at the movie theater when it was first released and loved it, so it was a given that I would buy the DVD version. There are very few movies I care to watch more than once. This movie is such a heart-warming story- it brings a mixture of tears and laughter-just like life.

This deserves every praise it gets, I don't normally buy movies anymore but this one i wanted in my vast collection because it moved me in so many ways. From how it was made in 10 years, to everyone who was apart of it, it was a great feel good film about growing up

A great story-telling movie that is very true watching as a new parent. Makes you realize that life happens way to fast and your kids grow up. This was a fun movie that literally shows the character grow/age before your eyes.

This inspired and emotional film experiment has something everyone can relate to. With exceptional acting by both seasoned actors and brand new faces of the screen, it gave a true depiction of the life of one family and how life changes everyone over the years.

It was really nice to see how the film flowed from one time period to another without a grand presentation or announcement. It didn't shy away from difficult life moments. That is what makes the film come off as genuine. The film is excellent.

I had picked up this movie based on recommendations and it didn't disappoint. It has a lot of great moments and it was so enlightening to see the progression of each of the characters in real-time. The story moves along well and is a pleasure to watch.

The idea behind this movie is great, and it is carried through effectively. Unfortunately, the story drags at times. This is a very good movie, but don't let the buzz surrounding it make you expect a life-changing viewing experience.

This beautiful, simple, and seamlessly-captured film of the human experience of growing up and its pains is an incredible film! Highly recommend to families, especially if the parents don't want to talk about life lessons to their own kids.

This movie is an Oscar nominated movie, each member of our family was able to relate to the movie for different reasons. The director took on the task of filming a movie with the same actors over 12 years. It was a wonderful film.

A story of a family with emphasis on a brother and a sister growing up literally from age 6 to 18... a coming of age movie that is shot with no frills camera work but delivers a message most people can relate to.
