THIS MOVIE WAS EXCELLENT. THE SCREENPLAY WAS OUTSTANDING. FOLLOWING A BOY'S LIFE FOR 12 YEARS WAS UNIQUE. THE PLOT WAS REALISTIC, NOT SUGAR-COATED AND REALISTIC TO THE CORE.

Filmed over 12 years with the same cast, Boyhood is a story of growing up as seen through the eyes of a child named Mason, who literally grows up on screen before our eyes.

Unfulfilled Ending...12 years in the making ... Needed an exaggerated conclusion ... The BOYS sister Lorelei Linkletter director's daughter was a humorous character at the start and her character fizzled out 20 minutes into the movie. Solid acting from pros ( hawke & arquette ) interesting but critically overated. Will probably sweep the Oscars. 12 years as a slave... 12 YEARS !!! That's not enough .weak soundtrack .l Life's little Moments should of had an impacting conclusion.

Boyhood really captured what it means for many middle class boys growing up in a broken home in the heartland of America. Boyhood allowed me to relive old memories and feel good about growing up all over again.

The movie was great due to the overall time span of the film. 12 years is a long time to cover anyone's life. They had an entire cast to follow. Just watching the kids develop was worth the time.

Boyhood is one of the best movies of the decade. Who would have thought a movie about life could be so interesting. With great performances and incredible directing Boyhood is a movie that won't disappoint.

Filmed over several years this captures the real trials faced by both the parents and children to overcome disappointment and carve out a rewarding life with deeper hope and understanding.

I thought it was interesting that they used the same boy actor and waited for him to get older to finish recording. Definitely gives you a different perspective on an already great movie.

I have always been a fan of Richard Linklater. Please watch Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. The dialogue is natural and not contrived. A must See!

The movie was different. It took the life of the boy from small to grown up. It was different from what we are seeing in the movies these days. Was not a re-make of a previous movie.

What a very unique film. Never shot this way Boyhood is a game changing film. Shot over 12 years it tells the story of people and the everyday struggles in life. Watch this with your whole family.

BOYHOOD has won awards as an excellent film, and should have won the Oscar as Best Film, but was a runner up. A very creative film that took a dozen years to make, and well worth purchasing!

This film is a great look at life over years and years. Be patient with this one as it clocks in just under 3 hours. You'll find that the time flew by and the movie was wonderful.

I can't believe that this movie took 12 years to make! Richard Linklater is a talented director and very devoted to his art. Boyhood is such a great movie and is worth all the hype.

I liked the movie since it depicts the bad and good aspects of family life, divorce, single parenting, struggles and the journey through childhood to adulthood.

I thought this was a cool movie the way they filmed it. Was expecting a little more out of it because of the time period it was filmed but all together it was a great movie.

This was a very outstanding movie good acting great story line and very original buy it, rent it, go see it you'll enjoy it.

A great story and cool to show actors/actresses age, but the movie felt very long. I guess that's the result of a movie being made over years and years?

I couldn't wait to see it I got it right away and watched it I also passed it on to my family to watch they all loved it

I enjoyed the unique filming of a story over 12 years, but at times I thought it dragged a bit. Not sure why it was up for so many Oscar nominations.
