This is an excellent film. It's well directed, extremely well acted, and well paced. Hilary Swank certainly deserved her Academy award for her outstanding performance. The entire cast is outstanding- everyone is so realistic. The story is so disturbing and unfortunately still relevant to the present. It's so heartbreaking and so upsetting that the events in this film actually occurred! The only complaint that I have is that one of the real life victims was left out of the movie entirely. I think some reference should have been made of him at the end of the film at least. In any case, though, this is a very important movie. Adults need to be aware that there is graphic material in this movie- so it's for 16 or 17 year olds and up. Highly recommended film.

Hillary Swanks performance is awarding winning. Love her in this. This movie is a must see. Based on a true story.

This is one POWERFUL movie! i sat and watched it with a couple of my friends and all of us(guys and girls) were upset but also proud with the movie. we weren't upset b/c of the movie itself, just the way "Brandon" was treated. they treated him like he was a monster and all "he" wanted to do was be himself! awsome movie though.
