    Hold On had been stuck in my head for months and I finally broke down and bought the CD. The whole disc is solid, but it is pretty short since it is under 40 min long.

  • Soulful, bluesy Janis Joplin type sounds

    The song "Hold On" is my favorite but I love the whole CD. The music playing is phenomenol and the lead singer is every bit as soulful as Janis Joplin. She is great to watch as you can tell she holds nothing back. She puts her whole heart, soul and vocal range into her work. Buy the CD before Alabama Shakes becomes the super stars they are destined to be!

    Do yourself a favor, buy this album. These aren't new artists, I've loved everything I've ever heard them do. This is the real deal. There's substance to this music, original take on a primitive sound.

    Read all the hype and saw them on the Grammys. Low price at Best Buy so pickerd it up and was not dissapointed. Very Eclectic mix. Digging it!!!

    Got this CD because of the single HOLD ON. All the other tracks were different a sound. Didn't think I would like it until I listen to it a few times. If you like bands with diverse sound and unique from track to track, check it out.

    Alabama Shakes are one of the few new bands to get excited about if you're into the southern rock/blues sound. Very soulful music.
