This device is totally dependant on the vent in your car. In my case it moved too easy and the phone just seems to move around.

So disappointed, put on vent and the first bump in the road it fell off and broke the clip that goes on the vent. Now usable.

I have an iphone 6 plus... this item is pretty flimsy for a large phone. It falls off if you hit bumps in the road.

This mount was recommended by the Best Buy salesperson. First off, directions were non existent. Even though you can figure it out, it was not a solid device for holding my iPhone, especially horizontally. Also, make sure you check before hand if your vents will work with this device. Mine did not fit right in my Sierra pickup truck. Not a solid mount at all for holding your phone in my opinion.

This mount did not stay put in my vent, often slipping. The clip broke after only a few months.

I love the concept of a magnetized phone holder that has retractable arms to hold other types of devices. Unfortunately, the arms that hold the dumb thing in the vent broke 10 minutes after getting it out of the box. Once they fix that issue in future models, this will be an excellent product. But until then, I cannot recommend spending anything on this.

its poor quality. I returned it twice due to parts that snapped. does not clip properly.

I have a standard sized iPhone and this holder did not work. It kept falling out on the floor - the vent holder was not strong enough to handle an iPhone. I took it back and got my money back. I would strongly recommend getting the type that sticks to your dash with the 3M sticker. That's what I have now and it works perfectly.

This product is not the best. My phone falls off of the magnetic pad often.

If you have a newer dodge durango...this will break the minute you slide it into the vent... the clasp part is plastic and cracks instantly... never got to use it... bought another one thinking it was just a fluke... nope broke again ...now i have to try to remove the metal pieces off of my phone... Needs to be made better...

I only give it two stars because I am able to mount it to the suction cup for my Garmin.

New unopened box. Sliding on to the vent one of the clips broke in half and fell into the vent. Device would then wobble and fall off. Returned and exchanged. Installed no problem this time. Week later, wobbled and phone fell. Looked at clips one was nearly broken, the other cracked. Poor execution, cheap plastic.

Item attaches to my car's vent but its not a very secure mounting.

Ok product in terms of holding phone, but vent attachment sucks.

Design for this particular model is flawed. It breaks easily because the plastic is too rigid. It would break just by adjusting. After two broken devices within 48 hours, I went back for a full refund.

I would not recommend this to anyone it was terrible

I have a I phone 6s+ with case and when I put the magnet on it just wasn't strong enough to hold phone in place. I had bought one for my wife who has a 6s and it worked well enough for that but sometimes clips slid off vents they were attached to.

Unfortunately both retaining clips broke after trying to install on my Chevrolet Volt vent, was gentle with out putting to much pressure on the clips, may have broken due to cold weather? Either way disappointed with quality of materials
