Was looking for a cell phone holder for the car. This brand offers a small metal plate that I can place inside my otterbox case, and a magnetic stand that mounts to the vent in the car. I feel this phone holder was better than others, as I did not have to fix or stick anything to my actual phone. It is compact and works great.

This Black Earth Elements Universal Vent Mount does a good job holding my iPhone 6s Plus.

The magnet works really well at keeping your phone secure. Being able to clip to your vent works way better than any product that uses suction.

I bought this mount to keep my hands free for GPS. I liked the idea of clipping onto vents. It set up easily and I was ready to go. On my trip to visit folks, I hit a bump and the clips snapped off. They are flimsy and cheap. Total waste. Had to drive with phone cockeyed on the dash. Returning immediately. I would not waste money on this.

I got one and it broke so I tried returning that and the second one broke too. I just bought a new car so I was being extremely delicate because I did not want to break my vent. the plastic arm that grips the air vent broke on both sides. The magnet and everything else worked fine but it's useless to me.

I bought this item last year and the price was around 50, after using it for a year I am now looking for a replacement. It will not stay in the vent anymore. So for short term it was great, but for the money do not buy!!!

My husband and I got this to hook our phones in the car. Unfortunately the clip didn't fit our vents. It made it impossible to use.

As important as it is to hold the phone to the fixture the design quality stopped there. The clips to hold the fixture to the vent are cheap thin plastic grips. Gently sliding the grips onto the vent fins caused the flimsy plastic grips to break. What? Really, these are meant to secure a phone safely in place. On my way back for a refund now.

This broke instantly when I attempted to mount it in the vent. The cheap plastic clips snapped apart, rendering it useless. Bought yesterday, returning today.

So when I first received the product it worked great for my iPhone 6s Plus. But after a week the plastic that goes into vents loosened and did not hold.

Clips are too long for ford Explorer vents. They blocked the side-to-side motion and broke a clip on one of the louvers. Great concept, bad engineering, blatantly false advertising about how "universal" it is.

The car port doesnt stay in the vent and when i tried to take the magnet off it would not come off easily. the glue did not come off all the way.
