It clips on and holds to the vents well, though some smaller cars are trickier to mount. Magnet is strong and I never had a phone fall off. I use a large Galaxy Edge 6+ and it frequently tipped down while in use. Tried various magnet locations to no avail.

Has different options but I put a magnet on the back of my iPhone 6 Plus case that sticks to the magnet on the clan. Holds the phone nice and secure on your air-conditioning vents. Nice and that you don't have to open up a clip to put it in it just sticks to it Highly recommend

The adjustable flip-out support is absolutely necessary for larger phones that have a drop-proof case and are a little heavier. I have an iPhone 7plus with a Speck case and I have never experienced "flying phone" issues with this mount. I have one in my car, one in my wife's, and one I use for travel.
