Customers are saying

Customers highly value the TripGrip Car Holder's ease of use, stability, and secure phone grip. Many appreciate its adjustability and compatibility with various phone sizes, finding it easy to install and a good value for the price. However, some users noted concerns about compatibility with certain car vents and the release button's design. A few also mentioned the holder's relatively light weight as a potential issue for heavier phones.

    Good Phone Holder

I picked this up for the sole purpose to use in rental cars. I wanted a phone holder to use when traveling for navigation. I tried it out in my personal car and had issues with it staying in place when the vents have vertical slats. This may not be an issue with all vertical slats. With my Subaru, the shape of the vent with vertical slants comes to a point at the bottom. When attached, the lower support bracket had no where to rest on. If the vent was square in shape it would not be a issue. I did try the holder on the vent by the driver door window which is square with horizontal slats and it was well supported. This held my phone great and was well secure when driving. So just be sure to check which type of vents you have and where they are placed. Even though I plan to only use this for travel. If it was for my own car. It would only fit in a vent that would not be my first choise to have my phone.

The accessory works as expected. It has a good grip on the phone, and it fits well in the air vent. I do consider that for the materials used, its price is higher than average.

I had to use my iphone maps in a rental car for more than ten locations per day and remove the phone at ever stop. This holder worked perfectly. It was easy to install and the phone was easy to remove from the holder. I could not use one of the magnetic holders due to the case on my phone.

It does what it’s supposed to. The release button is a little hidden in the back and hard to reach unless you have longer fingers like yours truly. Overall not bad though.

I have everything going against me with this contraption but it serves its purpose overall. 1) I have an iPhone 6S+ so it’s actually too heavy for the holder, 2) I have round circular vents that fold closed so it still falls, 3) The aux cord outlet is blocked by the prongs that stick out to “hold” the phone. The one thing I do like about this is that it’s adjuatable for the width of your phone and you can turn it 360 degrees. For $15, I kept it and used it in my other vehicle - not too friendly for my Jeep.

I was looking for a mount that did not attach to the window and was very pleased. My Bracketron TripGrip mount was easy to install. I love the fact that it adjusts to any size and style smartphone that holds your phone in place with a soft grips and a smooth backing. It also has simple release button. I would have given 5 stars if the bottom part of the product had a soft grip feature instead of just sitting on the vent.

The mount worked perfectly. You can orient the phone/device in either portrait or landscape mode. Works perfect with my circular vents (also works with most other vent styles.) The only concern is the release button has become stuck a few times since purchasing it only 1-2 week's ago. For the money (roughly $20), it's really a good buy.

Works with a Nexus 6 if you get creative with a razor blade and remove just enough of the foam grip to keep from pressing the controls on the side of the phone.

I bought this because Im always on the road and I really dont trust my cars navi. Im using it to hold my iPhone7 Plus and it holds it with no issues. It has very small arms that can me pulled out from the bottom for additional support. Over all it does the job very well.

Out of the box I had to apply some double sided tape to the arm so the mount wouldnt slide along the dash as I drove. After that it worked great for about four days. The release button was sticking and it took quite a bit of force to engage it. Needless to say, shortly after the release button now gets stuck in the open position. In order to clamp my phone in, I first have to pull the button out so it will engage. I will be returning it tomorrow.

Purchased this to use on a long drive. It came in useful for the intended purpose. It was sturdy. It held my phone in place even over hard bumps. Its swivel back allowed me to move it easily to provide a better viewing angle. For the price though, it was expensive compared to other phone holder. There are good ones just as this at lower price.

    Easy to use Phone Holder

This phone holder is easy to use and holds you phone securely in your car. It attaches to the vent vanes in your car and can be placed in visible location. The only con is that if you have thick vanes in your AC vent the phone holder requires a lot of force to fix it to the vane. Normal or thin vanes are no problem.

I researched several different devices to hold my Android Note 5 phone for my Nissan 2013 Murrano. I am very happy I went with Bracketron TripGrip. It is honestly perfect and fits easily into one of my air vents. It took 30 seconds to install. No more looking down or losing my phone in my car. I especially like seeing it when I use GPS navigation. The phone is safe and secure when it slides into the Braketron holder. It has never fallen off, plus you can easily tighten it up if needed. I love it ... the bonus is it's affordable!

    Solid phone holder for vent

This is a solid phone holder for a car vent - easy to attach with the slide-on clips, and the clips hold well. The clamps open smoothly and close securely around my phone, one of the older (and wider) Note models. My only minor complaint is that there is a bit of rattling when I'm driving and it isn't holding a phone.

I travel quite often for business and frequently use rental cars to move around. I was looking for a solution to quickly adapt my mobile phone to use for navigation in my rental cars. I had tried a few other options but never was completely satisfied, but finally, I came across the Bracketron TripGrip. This is the solution I was looking for, quick to install and remove, puts my phone at the perfect viewing angle for navigation, and seems durable.

This was easy to clip on to my car vent and seems to hold my iPhone 7 securely. My vehicle is a 2010 Honda CRV Exl. With the ability to change the angle of the holder it's easy to direct it away from the clock display when you don't need to have the cell screen in view. Not perfect, but for my car it seems to be the best design.
