I have owned these razors for over 10 years! Best one yet!

Fast easy shave and it has better speed and the cleaner does work

Works good for dry shaving. Haven't tried wet shaving yet

I was using a Panasonic Arc3 Vortex before switching to the Braun 9. I am disappointed in the shave that the Braun gives. I'm 55 and have mostly coarse grey hair. The Panasonic would breeze through my beard like a hot knife through butter, leaving my face smooth and baby soft. The Braun leaves me unshaven no matter how firm I have the shaver pressed against my face. I've gotten razor burn from pressing so hard and still have stray hairs / stubble. I shave once to twice per day, so I'm not talking about a shave after several days. I suspect that I will be returning this shaver and going back to the Panasonic line of Vortex / Hydraclean electric shavers.

It is not worth the price. I was impressed with it on the 1st shave but after that it took 30 minutes and it left hair in patches. I had to use a razor after that so I returned mine because whats the point for 300$ trimmer if I am using a razor after it.

Takes time to get use to electric razor. Does not work well on the neck area. Also uses a lot of the cleaner in the cleaning pods.

Its not a bad shaver but my series 3 does a better job

Purchased this to replace a series 7 that I had for approx. 7 years and it died within 5 days. The base just stopped working. No lights, nothing. Returned as defective. Up until now I have used several Bruan shavers over the last 15+ yrs, all great except this one.

Having used a Braun Series 5 shaver for a long time (10 years), I was looking forward to this upgrade but was very disappointed with the quality of the shave. This shaver is very ergonomic and well designed. However, I just don't get a clean shave. I am well aware of the principles of electric shaving (shave first thing in the morning, stretch your skin, etc.) but it seems like the shaver head is just not effective enough. And I am talking of the easy areas like the cheeks. It leaves a stubble no matter how many times I go over the same area. I think the cutter blades are not sharp enough on the unit I received.

I like it because it's small enough to travel with but also works smooth

It's very expensive and doesn't worth it. Very hard to shave. I definitely return It.

I purchased this shaver for my handicapped brother. I am replacing it with the Braun Series 7 wet dry shaver. The Series 9 shaver is a great improvement. It actually shaves as close as a razor. Its also quieter and the charging cleaning stand has also been improved it has a 1 button cleaning button and much less complicated and also is quieter that the series 7. I highly recommend this shaver!

Got a defected piece. The back trimmer wasn't working at all

First of all I have to say that this shaver is awesome. It's the best shave I have ever had from an electric razor and rivals that of a manual razor in my opinion. I have a thick beard that grows in many directions. It cut through my beard like butter and was very close. I have been using Braun shavers for many years. My last one just died after over 5 years of use and traveling. It was time for a new one. Now the bad part. The first time I tried to use the charging/cleaning station it did nothing. Just a blue flashing light. Being an engineer (and German) I had to see what the problem was. I took out the cleaning solution, unplugged it, and turned it over. A plastic component fell out of the shaver cleaning area. OK, maybe shipping damage... I took a close look at it and repositioned the plastic piece on the side and it went back into place. Put the cleaning solution back in, plugged it back in, and tried the cleaner. Voila! It stated cleaning. My concern is that it will self destruct at some point in the future. For that kind of price I just think it should be a little better constructed. Maybe you'll have better luck out of the box. Still an awesome shaver!

Had the previous series 7 for almost 5 years and decided to upgrade to the series 9. Wow, this gives an incredibly close shave, better than the series 7!

I recently had to buy a new electric shaver as my last Braun took a fall and broke. I'm actually glad though that it did because my new Series 9 shaves far closer and even works great in the shower! I definitely recommend this product!!!
