Good but intense for small kids. Great animation and story

Brave has a nice blue themed Steelbook cover and very nice artwork inside. The Steelbook comes with a 4K copy, Blu-Ray copy, Blu-Ray bonus disk and a digital code copy. The 4K image is very nice with the added HDR. The Dolby Atmos track included is nice and robust. The bonus features include short films La Luna and The Legend of Mor'Du. Overall this is a nice Pixar Steelbook.

The film brings the wonderful, free spirit of Merida to life through a conflict with her duties as a princess personified by her mother who only wants the best for her. Full of humor, compassion and suspense. The behavioral modeling of a certain female ursine character (no spoilers) are engaging, funny and scary. The modeling/animation of Merida's wild hair is impressive and an indispensable character element.

I thought at first it was just a coming of age movie about an adventurous girl. But when I watched and learned that her mother became the bear, I was touched. The witch was hilarious and so was her three little brothers. I cried so much my shirt was soaking wet. Overall a great movie to keep for anybody's collection. Hey, it's the winner for best animation at the Golden Globes. What more can I say?

I have always loved the Pixar films. This movie is a great family film, and a great film just in general. The reason is that Pixar keeps its focus on the story. Nowadays, so many animated movies are just filled with laughs and giggles, and certainly this movie has its funny moments. But what sets a Pixar film apart from the rest is their ability to make a really good story. Well done!

I saw this movie Brave in theatres and failed to get the dialogue for the most part. I love the themes and the animation, especially the heroic horse and the expressive Mamma Bear, but I could not understand the dialog, so I hoped the Blu Ray would help me there. Tough luck. Well, I understand the plot anyway, so Maybe I will have to look at subtitles. The art is wonderful and the action is well-directed. The color is rich in contrast and the textures are fearsome well-done. However, there are sections which seem to be less well-integrated in the art or surfacing techniques. I hear Scots brogue fairly frequently live, and think perhaps this version could be more intelligible.

I needed to buy 9 computer bags for my sales team! It needed to be large enough to hold a computer, a mobile printer and some other instruments, etc. Needed the ability to embroider my logo, have wheels, etc. I didn't want to spend upwards of $200 each since the equipment going inside is all new as well and already over budget, this bag fit my needs to a tee.

My little foster daughter loves this movie. She has picked up a few life lessons from it--such as what happens when you don't listen to each other--(I got that too--kids need to be heard). Let's them know that they just need to be brave enough to do whatever it is they decide they want to do--Also teaches a few "you gotta mind the rules until you learn to think for yourself clearly in there too.

Disney and Best Buy are doing great with the 4k steelbooks! Same content as the standalone release, but the animated look of the steelbook adds a lot to the set. Very good audio/video, also includes a blu-ray copy and digital code

I saw this Disney film as an adult and liked it very much. It was quite story driven and offer a lot of insight into women and men in the clan and expectations. Young girls and boys should see this and a discussion should happen. The Head of the Table is not always the one to expect. This film is timeless

Not a fan of this movie. It's still fun but it became redundant with the slapstick. I mean how many times can a bear fall and topple on things? Of course the animation is top notch.

I enjoyed watching this movie a lot. I first watched this movie in the theater. I could not wait until the movie was released into a 4K DVD. The 4K video is excellent, much better than blu ray or standard DVD quality. I don't mind watching it over and over again.

the inner box design is good, but the outer box design is just ok, I wish they would have used the original 3D characters used in the actual movie for the outer box design, too.

I really liked this movie and had previously rented it before buying. I really like that Disney and Pixar had finally made a movie that takes place in Scotland being of Scottish ancestry myself. I believe that Brave will appeal to those of Scottish ancestry, anyone interested in Scotland and anyone who likes Disney movies.

Just another great movie for all ages to watch. With all the ways we have to watch movies not many go out and buy them. Well, what better way than to own movies and share them with family and friends. You never know how long they might be available in those other formates. So why not own a great movie. Pass it down to your kids or grandkids.

I never heard of this movie until my oldest daughter put it on for my youngest one night. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie!!! It was a lot different than some of the kid movies that I have watched and really liked the story line. Happy to see some new, great kid movies :)

An animated story that takes place in medieval Scotland. A princess insists on living her own life, in spite of her mothers wishes for her. When she enlist the aid of a local witch, she gets what she wishes for, but not the way she expected. We really enjoyed the story and the animation artwork and are glad we purchased this film for our video library.

The artwork on this latest batch of Pixar steels is every bit as beautiful as the films themselves. Vibrant colors, rich detail, and it tells you everything you need to know about the film just by looking at it. Any Pixar fan needs this on their shelf!
