I love this game. As a fan of JRPGs, this game l just has the perfect kind of charm. The gameplay is fun and engaging and the story is grounded in traditional JRPG roots with new polish and style that I absolutely love. If you like traditional Final Fantasy games then I think you should give this a shot. The Bravely series is a series of Final Fantasy spinoff games anyway and I have played all of the handheld ones and thoroughly enjoyed them.

This RPG encompasses everything I love about the old days of JRPGs, but with modern quality of life improvements. The combat has a fun risk reward aspect and the mix of jobs adds depth. The music is a feast for your ears! This will probably be one of my favorite JRPGs if all time.

A very standard turn based RPG. Pretty standard classes, abilities, and combat. Great music; art style is not for everyone (me included). The story is rather blah, but the Characters are shockingly good, great voice acting really cements them and their personal journeys in my mind. I preferred Octopath Traveler and Dragon Quest 11, but this is still a very good RPG, just nothing too special or new.

4.5 stars. A really all around excellent turn-based JRPG and worthy successor to the original 3DS game. Although I’m not a huge fan of the chibi-style art on the main characters, the background art style is really fantastic (especially the gorgeous looking towns). The gameplay is quite fun and will appeal to anybody that likes games like the old turn-based Final Fantasy games.

Great rpg with dozens of hours packed in to keep you busy. The story at large isn’t groundbreaking or anything, but the individual story arcs will keep you interested for sure. The brave/default combat system is as strong as ever, and with a large variety of jobs there’s numerous strategies to use to take on fearsome foes. Highly recommend for any turn based rpg fan.

I remember how drawn in I was with the original Bravely Default on the Nintendo 3DS. The soundtrack, characters, story, and world; it was almost a masterpiece. Bravely Second was good, too. But, in short, it wasn't as good as the first. I also really liked Octopath Traveler but the only similarity is the BP battle mechanic My impression of the BD 2nd game is how I feel, so far, about Bravely Default II. Actually, I had lower expectations but I like it better than I thought I would. It feels a little more grown up when compared to the games on the 3DS. I've only was able to play up to the first boss fight but here is what I like so far. The battle music uses the same melody but orchestrated differently than the first game. I really like the voice acting. They have different accents kind of like Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The battles aren't "random encounters" but overworld enemies similar to Earthbound or Radiant Historian. There is an online mechanic similar to the base building in previous games except that it is a ship and you get random items from different players in sleep mode. There are side quest you can take from random NPCs but I'm not sure if the optional boss "asterisks" side missions to take. If you like the classic Final Fantasy games or liked the battle system of Octopath Traveler, you'll definitely want to give this game a try. As a side note, Best Buy also gives you a free poster and coasters. Now, the quality isn't great for this items. The poster is just printer paper and the coasters are thin, but they were free and was a nice gift that I wasn't expecting, so no points lost there. This is just a heads up if your expecting a collectable item.

This is probably overall the worst of the three Bravely series games, but that isn't saying much. It has the worst story, but it's still all right, and the worst cast of characters. That being said, the gameplay is still incredible. Getting new jobs and mixing and matching different ones to develop unique strategies to take down tough opponents never gets old. By the end of the game, you'll be theorizing and setting up all kinds of different team compositions so you can crush even the hardest of foes with ease.

Story is alright but the gameplay is great. You can mix and match jobs with sub jobs and passives on any of the four characters. No gendered jobs, no stat restrictions all four characters have the same base stats level 1-99. Reccomend for old final fantasy fans or for those who liked the first two Bravely games.

I played the original Bravely Default mainly for its battle system. The story however was pretty convoluted. I skipped the next entry into the series because I thought that the story would be similar to the first one. I bought this one mainly because I thought it would be fun to try it out on the Switch. The story is a lot better and more fleshed out than the original. The battle system is pretty similar to the original. The job system is more varied this time which is good. Overall it's a great game.

This is an addicting turn-based JRPG with a job system, cheesy yet charming voice acting, and a great gameplay loop. Recommended for those seeking a time sink. This game does not require the past 2 entries to be understood.

Very fun Job system with lots of interesting combinations. The voice acting is amazing and I love the world. I'm a big fan of Bravely Default and Bravely Second and this is a good sequel but it's not perfect. Some of the balance changes just felt shoved in and it wasn't as fun to make the tradeoffs that I didn't have to make in previous games. Still worth the buy and play through though and if you're a fan of JRPGs this is a must play.

Didnt play the first part but I am loving the second. The story is great, reminds me of other JRPG games and I am in absolute love of this game. Played and beat it. There is some end game stuff and would definitely play it again for sure. Definitely worth the buy.

This game has a lot of what made the previous two games great: good characters, fun job system, interesting locations/dungeons and an amazing soundtrack. It does fall flat in some areas but it’s still a good game that I would recommend to any fan of old school JRPG’s.

If you are into old school final fantasy turn base rpg with jobs system, this game is for you. Even if you are not and do like turn base rpg, the game its pretty sweet and artsyle is very pretty/cute. Ton of hours to spen on this one, money well spent.
