Customers are positive about the gameplay, story, music, job system, and voice acting in Bravely Default II, frequently praising the engaging mechanics and immersive experience. However, some customers are negative about the game's difficulty and the amount of repetition required to progress, citing challenging boss fights and the need for extensive grinding. Definitely a game worth picking up.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best in the Bravely series. The voice acting actually drew me in and caused me to want to see what happens next. The side quest part is a little frustrating since you have to keep going back to cities to see if you have completed all the quests, but all in all it is a solid game. I like the ability to change jobs and sub jobs and experiment with what works best rather than just being stuck with an already put together band of heroes so to speak. I actually have a hard time putting it down.

Great Game would recommend
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I still haven't finished it but it is very similar to the other games' gameplay. This time it has different characters and takes place on a different continent. Art style of the game is still great and it looks really good on the TV in docked mode. voice acting is still on point. Music is as great as always for a Square game. would highly recommend for RPG fans.

Bravely Average
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tl;dr Game is average, combat is bland with no diversity in characters abilities. Story is more of the same from early Final Fantasy days stories. Voice acting is mediocre at times. I still enjoyed it for what it was. I'd still recommend it for a time killer. Game is essentially an average Final Fantasy game with job implementation. There's not really any diversity in characters abilities, so you can build anyone however you want which is a good or a bad thing depending on how you want the game to play. The first Bravely Default's game has a much better and fuller feeling story. The story for this one is mediocre and is your typical Final Fantasy collect the four crystals and become warriors of light to save the world. Voice acting is alright, although it can come across as annoying and out of place with some characters at times. The voice actors did a decent job altogether though. Gameplay changes are welcome and unwelcome at the same time as the combat can be frustrating when the enemies can counter specific things you do in the middle of your turn, making your turns more thought out but also leaving you more open to more damage when most bosses can one shot your squishier classes. I enjoyed the challenge but the fights just feel more cookie cut at that point almost forcing me to have to use specific strategies to beat bosses with no diversity over what I think other players would use.

JRPG Goodness
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a polished JRPG complete with turn based combat and quests a-plenty. Great voice acting and beautiful story book style and design. Some of the dialog is long winded at times. The graphics are poor during zoomed in scenes. Be prepared to do some grinding to level up your characters. Some of the battles are difficult if you're not prepared.

Solid RPG
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very standard turn based RPG. Pretty standard classes, abilities, and combat. Great music; art style is not for everyone (me included). The story is rather blah, but the Characters are shockingly good, great voice acting really cements them and their personal journeys in my mind. I preferred Octopath Traveler and Dragon Quest 11, but this is still a very good RPG, just nothing too special or new.

Worth checking out if you liked Octopath Traveler
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember how drawn in I was with the original Bravely Default on the Nintendo 3DS. The soundtrack, characters, story, and world; it was almost a masterpiece. Bravely Second was good, too. But, in short, it wasn't as good as the first. I also really liked Octopath Traveler but the only similarity is the BP battle mechanic My impression of the BD 2nd game is how I feel, so far, about Bravely Default II. Actually, I had lower expectations but I like it better than I thought I would. It feels a little more grown up when compared to the games on the 3DS. I've only was able to play up to the first boss fight but here is what I like so far. The battle music uses the same melody but orchestrated differently than the first game. I really like the voice acting. They have different accents kind of like Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The battles aren't "random encounters" but overworld enemies similar to Earthbound or Radiant Historian. There is an online mechanic similar to the base building in previous games except that it is a ship and you get random items from different players in sleep mode. There are side quest you can take from random NPCs but I'm not sure if the optional boss "asterisks" side missions to take. If you like the classic Final Fantasy games or liked the battle system of Octopath Traveler, you'll definitely want to give this game a try. As a side note, Best Buy also gives you a free poster and coasters. Now, the quality isn't great for this items. The poster is just printer paper and the coasters are thin, but they were free and was a nice gift that I wasn't expecting, so no points lost there. This is just a heads up if your expecting a collectable item.

Another Great Entry in the Bravely Series
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an addicting turn-based JRPG with a job system, cheesy yet charming voice acting, and a great gameplay loop. Recommended for those seeking a time sink. This game does not require the past 2 entries to be understood.

A Brave Sequel.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fun Job system with lots of interesting combinations. The voice acting is amazing and I love the world. I'm a big fan of Bravely Default and Bravely Second and this is a good sequel but it's not perfect. Some of the balance changes just felt shoved in and it wasn't as fun to make the tradeoffs that I didn't have to make in previous games. Still worth the buy and play through though and if you're a fan of JRPGs this is a must play.

Old school rpg
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is pretty awesome. It reminds of an old school rpg like final fantasy 7. It has different job classes you can unlock and is turn based battles. I'm between battle you traverse an over world. It has voice acting for most of the cutscenes and interactions so that's cool as well. I needed something like this to scratch that itch and I can tell this one's gonna provide 50+ hours. Probrably even 100+

Phenomenal
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely amazing. Not sure what else to say. If you like turn based RPGs, this one is for you. So many moments give you the chills. Voice acting is excellent, OST (like all Bravely games) is some of the best in the industry.
