I have a first gen Braven bluetooth speaker. It actually does have an 18 hour battery life. I have used it at work and it will run through 2 full shifts before it needs to be charged. There are better sounding bluetooth speakers for twice the price, but their battery life is maybe 5 hours. The sound on the Balance is much better than the first gen Braven I have. There are bass speakers on both ends of the Balance. The shape is better than the cylinder shaped ones because it won't roll off the seat in the car or boat. The silicone body helps it stick in one spot. What I really like to use this speaker for besides music is when I am using my phone in the car as my GPS, I use the speaker so I can hear the GPS. It works really well for this purpose. The only drawback I've found so far is that it doesn't have an easy carry case. I have not had occasion to test the water resistance of this speaker so I cannot speak to that.

I purchased this on a whim since it was on sale and I had some best buy rewards getting ready to expire. I've been really happy with it, whenever I'm doing something around the house, cleaning, reading, showering, ect, I can sync to this and rock out. It would be great to take to the beach or to the pool since it's waterproof. It puts out decent sound with solid bass. The color is nice and bright so it'd be difficult although not impossible to lose. Finally it's pretty portable, it's about the size of an average paperback so while you can't tuck it into your pocket unless you have JINCO's you can easily put into a backpack or satchel.

I bought this to take on a fishing trip to play tunes in the boat. It works fine for this. We also used it in the car to listen to an audio book. Has really nice sound. I wish there was some way to plug into the stereo port and have the protective rubber covering on at the same time - minor nuisance. The sound on this is really very good for its size - got bass definition. The best thing was the amount of time per charge - I charged it fully before the first use. We used it for several hours on two occasions in the boat, then listened to audiobooks for a good 9 hours in the car - and it was still running strong. Very happy about this purchase!

Sound quality and build are good. Could handle a little more bass and volume but that's not a deal breaker. I use it when I go play golf, I'll just leave it in the back basket on a mid-low volume and play some tunes. Since it's waterproof I'll take it in the shower with me without worrying about it getting ruined. Nice out by the pool or even tubing down the river (a beloved pastime here in Texas). The ability to plug USB in the back and charge your device off the unit battery is great. Of course this will reduce the length of charge of the unit, but it's still nice.

This speaker has a great performance and features for the price. I bought it on sale for a weekend trip to float the Comal River. It has a great sound and very long lasting battery. People kept asking me about it because they could hear loud music, but couldn't see where it was coming from since it is not really big in size. The only negative I have is that it's kind of awkward to mount it somewhere, but some rope and a clip took care of that.

Couldn't be happier with this purchase. The sound quality is incredible. I used this out at the pool with lots of noise from people and the water and was still able to hear my music playing. I love that it's water proof and can charge my phone as well!

I am a loyal consumer of this brand. Because it is a reliable product. I have another braven, from 3 years ago and it is still good as new. This new Braven is excellent, long hours of play, over 8 hrs, plus the gorgeous sound.Heavy duty construction and easy setting up with blue tooth. Buy it, you will love it.

I purchased this with some doubts as it is not a Bose, but the sound is fantastic, and loud enough to hear in a party environment. It is so compact and lightweight, you can take it anywhere!

I love the sound quality and the fact that it is waterproof. I use it everyday, indoors and out. I do wish the distance between device and radio had better reach, but I would definitely recommend this product.

Didn't want to spend a fortune for a portable/outdoor speaker. The Braven Balance provides ample volume and bass. The long-lasting battery and power output keeps both devices working for hours.

Incredibly happy with this speaker!! Purchased on a whim without listening first because it wasn't on display. Was skeptical because I'd never heard of the brand. Sound quality is excellent!! As good as if not better than the Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker except this speaker is waterproof!

I've had it about a month now and I'm very happy with it. It has Great sound, easy to set up and use. Being waterproof is a plus!!

I'm a portable Bluetooth-Aholic and have owned almost 60 Different Portable Bluetooth Speakers the past 3 1/2 Years and although the Braven Balance is NOT the BEST I've owned, I would say it's in the Top 5 or 6 and is a very Balanced and All Around Quality Bluetooth Speaker with Good Sound and Functionality, and a Nice Strong Battery Life.

I had bought a couple of other bluetooth speakers that work well for smaller areas only, as the volume didn't get very loud. This one is PERFECT for when I'm grilling out, sitting on the grill island and is the only speaker I need for movie night outside using my projector and large screen. Sound is crisp and clear and gets as loud as I need it to be.

I like it a lot , it last for more than 2 days without charging it , its water proof. Good sound.Love it.

When we purchased this item it was strictly to use with our off-road vehicle. When we purchased this item it was strictly to use with our off-road vehicle. Period insert. Even with our off-road vehicle running at full speed we were still able to hear the speaker clearly without any mumbling. Other speakers were never loud enough for us to use because once you turn them all the way up all of your audio began to get foggy and jumbled together . I would definitely recommend this product to anybody who is looking for a good Bluetooth speaker whether that be for home use or for off Road Ing like we use ours .

This portable speaker is great and has great sound quality. I bought it to take on the boat in the summer since it is waterproof. I also used the phone charging option when the power went out in my house. It quickly charged my phone back up.

Easy to set up and operate. Great sound and durable construction.

Was looking for something that I could use mostly outside around the pool anD at tailgates etc. this product is pretty impressive for the money. It may not be the loudest of these type of products but it definitely makes up for it with the fact that it is very rugged, sound quality in the lows and highs are good, it can charge any device with the built in USB port and is nearly waterproof. Very impressed.
